Isn't there supposed to be one? it charges without any LED on. Another odd thing is when I'm in meebo I get a purple LED when I get a message.
I charged it from 60% to full and there was no LED on at all. Is there something in the settings that's causing this? I have silent mode on (but it surely can't be that right?) this is kind of weird.

I wanted to buy a extra micro usb cable for light charging at school and work and was wondering if there are any specifications for the kind I need. I've seen 4 pin and 5 pin versions and didn't want to get the wrong one.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI accidently sat got my evo into some water on our bathroom the other night and now my phone is acting weird. I disconnected the battery and the phone and allowed them to sit in bags of rice for a few days to draw out the mositure. I turned the phone back on and found the camera is no longer so the water must of wicked in through there, but what is troubling me is the orange charge light comes on as well as a red indicator light on the other side.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just picked up an Eris after having the nearly identical Hero for about 3 weeks. On the Hero, there was a notification LED on the top of the phone. It blinked when I had new e-mail, texts, or voicemails. I see the Eris has a small LED light in the top right corner, but that seems to only light up when charging? Is that all that light does? Indicate when the phone is charging? I would think that would blink when notifications from SMS, calls or e-mail come in? Is it supposed to?

This has been an issue that's been bugging me the last few days now. The stock wall charger that came with my Droid X is the 5PN5504A, which has an output rating of 5.1V, 850mA. My understanding is that the mini-USB interface is an industry standard for power delivery to portable devices, which I take to mean that any charge source should work (wall charger, desktop PC, laptop) as long it has uses an USB interface. So any USB-->miniUSB cable can be used to charge any mini-usb device, regardless of power source, right?
I already have several other mini-usb devices, such as bluetooth headsets, which all came with their own wall chargers. However, I checked these chargers, and they all have different outputs: 5V @ 200mA, 5V @ 150mA, 5V @ 550mA. Because the default Droid X cable was so short, I was tempted to use these other chargers. I plugged in the 5V@150mA charger to my Droid X, and found that the phone does not show it's charging (the lighting bolt isn't there, there's no animation on the battery indicator). So then I switched to the 5V@550mA charger, and it DOES charge....................
I've been charging my phone on my laptop and it won't charge past 40%. Can someone please help me?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am a Droid user at the moment, but am considering moving to the EVO next month, and I have a question regarding the LED's on the phone. My wife has to have complete darkness in the room at night and even a charging light bothers her she says (wtf, I just close my eyes and I cant see it, but whatever).
Anyway, on the Droid there is a program called LEDs hack that allows us to turn off all the notification and soft-button LED's when charging, so I am wondering if anything similar is available for the EVO yet. Also, can the charging light itself be disabled? It could not on the droid, but the home dock covered that one completely, so no big deal.
Only way to get rid of it is to re-boot. I guess this probably something wrong with my USB port?

I have the charger which plugs into the wall but has a USB port in the back so you can pull it out and easily connect to a PC. Have I screwed up something by constantly swapping it from a PC and plugging it into the wall?
I'm paranoid because I've got the bottom end of the charger stuck into my phone, I then stick it into my USB port - Should I be disconnecting it from my phone before connecting it to power so the phone doesn't screw up somehow?
I have some light leakage from the ports on the bottom of the phone. It only happens when the capacitive buttons are lit. The screen seems solid, not separating from case. Will this eventually lead to dust under the screen or not an issue to worry about?

I hadn't been able to charge my EVO for a little while, and just a little while ago it finally gave up the ghost. I booted back up to recovery after it shut down, where it told me I needed to change the battery.
Well, that's great! Except, it wouldn't let me shut the phone off! It sat there for a few minutes, not responding to my trying to turn the phone off, until, it seems, it completely ran out of power. I have the seidio 3500mah battery, and the cover is a royal pain to remove (usually requiring a butter knife to pry the sucker out of it's death grip!).
Now when I got back to my desk at work, I plugged it in to USB, and the charging light is just blinking amber at me, and it won't turn on yet. Does this sound like it's not charging, or just needs to charge itself up a bit before it will let me turn it back on?

This is after my first charge cycle AND I have been using a little internet, some youtube, texting, 2-3 pictures, and lots of phone customization/tweaking. I don't even have TaskKiller or an Extended battery yet. NOTE Half of the 22 hours I have been in my basement (right on lake michigan) where Verizon has to FIGHT HARD for a signal - the bars are at 0 but I can still make calls without being dropped. ATT + T Mobile don't work in my basement at all but Verizon is able to squeeze a signal somehow. Doesn't seem to be killing my battery.

Basically when i opened the box and set up the phone the battery charge level was at around 25% full. Im in the UK but i got the phone from the US over ebay, so it didnt come with a UK mains adapter however i have an ipod mains-USB charger (that the USB cable plugs into) which i thought would charge it up by using the USB cable that came with the phone and plugging it into the ipod charger.So i plugged it in and the LED light lit up orange on the phone and the animation came on showing that it was charging so i turned the phone off, but when i checked and turned it back on after a few hours of the phone being plugged in it was still at 25% battery when i unplugged it.I assumed it didnt work because i used the ipod charger so I tried charging with just the USB cable plugged into my computer with the phone turned off, a few hours later its still at 25% charge. It hasnt gained any battery charge past 25% (it did loose battery when i had it unplugged but only charged back up to 25%)Does anybody have any ideas on what the problem is, is it because of the charger im using with it being US? I just bought a UK HTC official charger from the internet so I hope that will work.

I just got the fascinate a few days ago. Defective battery or handset? I called Verizon and they said that it can't be troubleshot.

My Handsent would receive a sound as well (it is still set) and a flashing pink light appears on my phone. Now the green light does not come on. can I set it to and if so....how do I do it?
