when I first got it I noticed that I had home screens on both the left and right of the center screen now it seems my "home" screen can only be on the right. So if I hit the home button it scrolls all the way to the right screen. btw I was an avid iphone supporter but have converted so I'm also a noob to the Android scene but so far I regret making this decision so late in the game!!

I've searched for an answer to this but so far nada so I'm asking. Is there a way to manage or keep the home keys lit while the screen is on? On my new captivate the turn off very quickly. They do light up after I've pressed one but I'd like to be able to hit the key first off.

Even if I use a wallpaper with the correct screen resolution(800 x 480), it still never displays correct on the screen. It seems to always "zoom in".Any idea?

View 1 Replies View RelatedOkay so here is another strange thing I noticed with the update.2 of the 3 phones that got the update now have a little home icon on the bottom of one of the touchwiz screens when you are in the edit mode. This page with the home icon can now be moved to whereever you want it in the positioning of the 1-7 screens you have and when you click on the "home" key at the very bottom it will go to that screen. Previously there was no home key and your home screen was either the middle or far left screen depending on the number of screens you had.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHey everyone, I'm sort of new to this but I figured I'd give it a shot to see if anyone might have an answer.
This happens fairly frequently actually, but I'll be in an app (any app - it's not really particular) and sometimes it'll just randomly shut me out of it and return to the home screen. As it does this, the home button blinks and vibrates incessantly until I hold down on it - at which point it brings up a sort of mini-list of six apps (the last six apps I've opened, I suppose). Once I clear out of that list, then the phone resumes working normally.
I initially thought it had something to do with the memory and running too many apps at once, so I downloaded Advance Task Killer and run that occasionally...only to find the same problem occurring, sometimes RIGHT after I kill all the apps.
Has anyone else had this happen? Can anyone help me out?
I've used the "Edit" function to remove the home screens that I don't want, but now when I hit the Home button it takes me to the last (right-most) screen in the list. I'd prefer the home screen be the middle screen, but no matter how I arrange the screens (unless I add all 7 back in) the home screen is whichever is the farthest to the right.
Anyone know how to assign which home screen is the default for the home button?
Is there a was to have the lady read out my text messages? All she says is..."new message from (persons name)" I want her to read out everything in the text message. My old phone the black jack 2 used to do that. Also is it possible to change the ladies voice in navigation?

Woke up this morning and it's now taking me to the 3rd page, and I can't find a setting that pertains to the behavior of those keys anywhere. It's hugely annoying and I need help.

So I never upgraded to the new version of launcher pro and just about ten minutes ago I hit my home button and it automatically takes me to launcherpro.com and says that my current version is expired and to download the new one. Problem is I can't get to the market because my home button doesn't work. So all that works is my browser, 4 physical buttons, and I can pull down my notification bar. So I really need to figure out a way to get to the market or switch to touch wiz.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've had my Epic for about a week and have noticed that from time to time that the screen flashes VERY briefly to the home screen/lock screen when inside an app.
It happens when I'm in the browser, email app, etc. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason behind it.
I have the Samsung captivate and it usually has no problems connecting to WiFi networks but it can't connect to my home network. It recognizes the network but I can't use send/receive any data. My two laptops have no problem connecting to my network but I can't get my phone to. Additionally, my Wii has the same problem. It recognizes the network but can't do anything. Its probably a router problem but their support was useless, so I thought I would try here.
