New to Android as of the release date of the captivate...came from a 3g and am enjoying the switch so far.When the home (soft key?) key gets pressed the phone used to take me to my middle page (set for 3). Woke up this morning and it's now taking me to the 3rd page, and I can't find a setting that pertains to the behavior of those keys anywhere. It's hugely annoying and I need help.

When I receive a call on my Captivate, I have to use the home button to answer. There is a big pretty button on the left that has a green dot with a phone icon that you would think would answer it but it doesn't. Is there a setting somewhere, or a fix for this? Red button on the right with the phone icon hangs up, so you would think the green button would answer.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought my captivate a few days ago and so far I love it. However it has started acting up more and more over the last couple days. I have my settings to "vibrate" whenever I click buttons. Sometimes after I click something the phone vibrates over and over again and I have noticed that the "home" button flashes when doing so. Eventually it stops but whatever application I am in crashes. Anyone know a fix for this problem or should I go exchange it for a new one?

So I never upgraded to the new version of launcher pro and just about ten minutes ago I hit my home button and it automatically takes me to launcherpro.com and says that my current version is expired and to download the new one. Problem is I can't get to the market because my home button doesn't work. So all that works is my browser, 4 physical buttons, and I can pull down my notification bar. So I really need to figure out a way to get to the market or switch to touch wiz.

So if I hit the home button it scrolls all the way to the right screen. btw I was an avid iphone supporter but have converted so I'm also a noob to the Android scene but so far I regret making this decision so late in the game!!

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have the Samsung captivate and it usually has no problems connecting to WiFi networks but it can't connect to my home network. It recognizes the network but I can't use send/receive any data. My two laptops have no problem connecting to my network but I can't get my phone to. Additionally, my Wii has the same problem. It recognizes the network but can't do anything. Its probably a router problem but their support was useless, so I thought I would try here.

Even if I use a wallpaper with the correct screen resolution(800 x 480), it still never displays correct on the screen. It seems to always "zoom in".Any idea?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had wifi in my house for years. As I type these devices are connected: ps3, desktop, laptop, wife's iphone. Everything works fine. I walked in the house with my Captivate and it can't obtain an IP address. The password is right. It gets to "Obtaining IP address" but then it says "Unsuccessful." I have never ever had a device issue connecting to my wifi. Numerous family/friend phones have connected without a glitch. Any ideas?

View 1 Replies View RelatedOkay so here is another strange thing I noticed with the update.2 of the 3 phones that got the update now have a little home icon on the bottom of one of the touchwiz screens when you are in the edit mode. This page with the home icon can now be moved to whereever you want it in the positioning of the 1-7 screens you have and when you click on the "home" key at the very bottom it will go to that screen. Previously there was no home key and your home screen was either the middle or far left screen depending on the number of screens you had.
