I'm sure this is an easy fix, but I can't seem to figure it out. I had Handcent installed on my captivate, however decided to stick with the installed messaging software. After uninstalling, I am now receiving two SMS notifications when I receive a text. One a white envelope, another a green bubble with "SMS" written in it. I can't find a place where two are coming from...any ideas?

Anyone know why this is? I think one is from the e-mail app, but the other I'm not sure where it links to. I think ti's from the account google I have added (both are g-mail). Anyway to get one notification?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm new to the roms portion of rooted droids, and I Am looking for a specific rom. I want a black notification bar with white text and green battery. I want my stock droid icons, and froyo launcher Smoked glass theme would be cool.
Can anyone tell me any roms and or themes that meet this criteria? Screenshots would be Awesome. I was thinking ultimate droid but I had a hard time finding screenshots for their lates versions.
when i send a message i sometimes have a small envelope on the left appear with a green 'i' in front of it. what is this for as the manual as usual doesn't seem to explain?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOne of the first things I've noticed about the Samsung (coming from the iphone) is how blue-greenish the background is within the browser.The difference is striking when the iphone is side to side with the Vibrant.It makes the reading mobile pages such as m.cnn.com a whole lot more difficult, relatively speaking.Anyone else notice this? I've also taken notice of this on a friend's Droid, although not as pronounced.Is this common to Android devices? I would think that the Vibrant screen could deliver a bright white with no color imbalances and should surpass the quality on the 3G(S) iphone.

It will have one number before I open my inbox and then another unread count within the app (before downloading any new emails). It then updates itself when I exit the messages app. Do you think it might have something to do with too many widgets on my homescreen? I don't have anything major...1x1 more icons, 1x4 smooth calendar, vibrate toggle, htc clock. Anyone else have this issue?

The Evo eventually gets back to the main screen.
I've tried power cycling the Evo to no avail and I don't have any new apps or upgrades on the phone.
So this morning I had an English Language exam, and as you do, I turned my little beut of a Hero off. After my 2 and a half hour ordeal, I turned my Hero on, and the screen was white, with little green androids on skateboards. Im actually not even messing. It had also text in blue and red font but I never got the time to read it. I only glanced at it for a sec.

I couldn't find anything specific through a search, but whenever I get an email on gmail I get a white envelope notification. That is linked to the gmail folder. At the same time I get a black envelope with a white outline. I cannot figure out what email folder/widget/whatever it is linked to and I have to manually clear the notification.
Is there anyway to turn off the black envelope?
Is there no double tap to zoom in the browser?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am so frustrated with Double Twist. I downloaded the samsung drivers and double twist immediately fount my captivate. I downloaded some of my itunes music. While I was trying to download some of my video, Double Twist went blank and could no longer find my captivate. I have redownloaded the drivers, but the captivate is not being found.
Any suggestions?
Also, any idea how I can get some of my songs OFF of the Captivate?
Just got my captivate and have one problem. Sometimes when touching the haptic menu button (first from left), i get a double vibration. Like it senses my first touch but vibrates second time right away. I do not get this constantly. But it happens all the time when i first touch the home button then the menu button. Does not happen with any other button.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI put Cognition on my phone today, and made a backup image of the stock 2.1 before putting Cognition on. I decided I want to go back to the Stock, so I clicked the "manage backups" part of Clockwork, and "recover" on the image I saved. Next, the phone rebooted, and looked like it was installing the backup image, and rebooted again. However, it will not go past the White AT&T screen. Is my only option to use Odin to give it a factory reset? Or is there an easier way for me to do this?

Samsung claims that *3282# is the Samsung code to lower the notification volume.
Samsung claims that they are now aware that *3282# is the AT&T code to check our data usage.
Because of this conflict, they claim they will send an OTA fix; but will not state when that will be.
AT&T has been receiving many complaints regarding this problem. Samsung claims they have never heard of this before. Apparently they forgot to log in my call last week?
I rooted today, didn't install a ROM yet but went ahead and put P3Droids low voltage 1000 kernel on my droid to see what it was like and wow! If I thought my droid was fast then but I've got one question, my notification led is blinking green now when its in standby, normal?
