If I understand correctly, it flashes my phone to factory fresh using ROMs. If I'm right, then I can use it to restore my phone(ATT apps and all) if I need to send it in for repair at AT&T. View 5 Replies View RelatedI did it last night, seemed to work fine, but I noticed something today. Under settings, applications, USB settings, there is an option for PC Internet that wasnt there originally. When I try to go to software update, it says Communication Failed. Unable to connect to ATT servers.
Coincidence that this started now, or is there something wrong? I reset the phone twice, and reloaded Odin twice. Everything else seems to work fine.
I'm sure this is an easy fix, but I can't seem to figure it out. I had Handcent installed on my captivate, however decided to stick with the installed messaging software. After uninstalling, I am now receiving two SMS notifications when I receive a text. One a white envelope, another a green bubble with "SMS" written in it. I can't find a place where two are coming from...any ideas?

I recently bought the Droid incredible and I love the phone. It's the perfect phone for me, however I have come to hate the green that is everwhere. It's on almost every spot where u can click or type. Any suggestions on how to change the color.
View 35 Replies View RelatedIn the contacts tab when you switch between groups then back to contacts, that color above the names has a noticeable hint of green to it, then when you scroll down a little bit then back up it's black again. Same thing on my vibrant. I'd take a picture or video of it but i dont think it will show on camera.

Ive been noticing over the last few days is that there is a small green line, or something like a green hue on the volume side of the screen when i have the market open, browser open. when i pull down the notification bar its really evident that there is a green line next to the wifi button.

I got my Fascinate yesterday and today idk if its just me but today I noticed when scroll the notification screen down, I see a band of unusual green but when I scroll up to my home screen nothing happens. I tried dead pixel test and nothing showed up. Is it a software issue? or a hardware issue?

Download and use a program called Android Central Sideload Wonder Machine. It's a one click solution, works amazingly on the Captivate and requires no hassle. The program claims to work on un-rooted phones (though mine is rooted).My girlfriend's Captivate is not rooted though so I will test this out on her phone as well to confirm it. Check it out though. I've already gone to town with this and it works great.

View 15 Replies View RelatedSo when I am on the call screen, and want to hang up or pull the key pad to enter some numbers, sometimes it takes about 3 seconds for the screen to become responsive and those buttons to become press-able. I say 'sometimes' because many a times it just works outright and I can lower the phone from my face and tap the end call button and it works. But other times it can create situations where I want to hang up the phone immediately but cant. Does it happen with anyone else?? One reason for this could be bad proximity sensor, but if screen can light up on taking the phone away from ear, it means proximity sensor is working fine. Any solutions?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI cannot get the recovery screen to come on for the life of me. I hold the volume buttons and the power button and once the AT&T screen pops up, I release the power button. It sits there for a second and the screen goes black. I have tried releasing the power buttons then and I have tried holding them as well.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo today in glass design I was checking messages when a small ( when i say small i mean you almost can't even see it) piece of glass landed on my captivate. My captivate has the body glove, screen protector and screen protector.When this little piece of glass got on the screen I tried to just rub it off but it cut through the screen protector and put a deep scratch on the actual captivate screen.The screen protector I was using was gadget guard so I definitely don't recommend using that if you plan on it because of how weak it is. I'm also disappointed with the captivates screen. If a small piece of glass barely rubbing on it can leave a deep scratch, I can't imagine what keys could do.You can't really see the scratch, but I'm just super ocd about it and can feel it on my finger every time it's in that area.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a confession to make.One of the first things I did when I got my Captivate was tried to De-TouchWiz it.I immediately got a new launcher and used lockbot to change the lockscreen.Well, what I'm finding out is that there are some things about TouchWiz that I really like.For example I love being able to change wifi settings etc. on the drop down notification drawer.I also love being able to change the brightness by swiping the notification bar.The one thing that I decided to come back to as a UI element is the Lock Screen.I didn't even give it a shot when I first bought the phone and today I've been using it and I love it.The puzzle message system is just a great tweak and I love how you can just move the puzzle piece into the puzzle hole to go straight to that application instead of swiping the whole screen to unlock and go to the home page.I also really like that you can kind of swipe any which way to unlock the screen, as well as the fact that it's transparent to your wallpaper/live wallpaper.All around, bravo to Samsung on the lock screen.I hope others are enjoying it as much as I am.
