Nov 29, 2010What does the red 'clock' icon over the message envelope mean? My messages aren't being sent, and I don't know why. (I just got my Epic.)

Samsung Epic 4G :: Text Not Sent - Show Symbol Of Closed Envelope With Red L
Sep 6, 2010No problem for first few days of ownership but now when I try to send a text it does not seem to send. It shows a symbol of a closed envelope with a red L in a circle next to the text message that I tried to send. I'm having no problems receiving texts or with any other functions.

Sep 8, 2010For some reason, I'm no longer getting the little envelope icon at the top left of my phone when I have new e-mail. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I have checked and the "email notification" is still on, so its not that.

Sep 9, 2010Has anyone figured out how to do this? When I hold my finger on a text and choose forward, I only get the box where I have to type in each contact individually. Is there a way to show a list of my contacts when forwarding or at least a way to forward to a group? I have groups set up, but there doesnt seem to be a way to access them when forwarding. I have tried every option and every menu and cant find out how to do this on the Epic?

Nov 17, 2010I just got my captivate about a week ago and have been having issues with my alarm clock. I set my alarm to wake me up every morning. Some mornings I am up before the alarm goes off so I turn it off, or atleast I think I turn it off. When the alarm is on I see the clock in the notification bar. So when I wake up I click the clock icon and turn off the alarm. I no longer see the icon on the notification bar but the alarm seems to go off anyway. The repeat for the alarm is set at "once". I just go in every night and turn it on. It just seems to go off anyway even when it is turned off earlier in the morning.ks

Nov 27, 2010I tried to search but I'm new to Sprint and just got the epic 4g coming from N1 and AT&T. Had a question regarding the 3g icon. Most of time instead of seeing the up and down arrows under the 3g icon, I see a "D" and if I have 4g on I see the 4g logo with the letters "zzz".. what is the "D" and if this means it is idle 3g how can I stop this? Does this mean that my gmail etc does not sync unless I use an application that needs to use data?

May 26, 2010I've been having a problem with my desire home screen (in particular the sms icon) and I'm wondering if anyone else knows how to fix it.
Recently my messages icon has been showing the little "1" in a green circle indicating I have an unread message. Problem is, I've gone through every list of messages I have on the device and there are no messages I haven't read and the "1" stays there. The only ways I've found to get rid of it are to either delete the icon and then put it back or to use Advance Task Killer and kill messages application. I'm not using any fancy apps for messages, just the default one.
My email counter is always perfect, this only seems to affect my sms. Also, my girlfriend told me she sent me a message a few days ago, but I never received it. Not sure if that's a happy coincidence, or if the phone got the message, is telling me I haven't read it, but isn't displaying it for me to see. All the other messages from her are plainly visible.

I can send them but everytime I hit the download button for a message I get an error message saying that download was unsuccessful. Does anyone else have this problem? Oct 3, 2010Searched the forums on this and found nothing - when I'm recording video after a few minutes I always get a "recording failed" error message. The video recording is there, but I have to start a new recording if I want to continue.
I'm recording at full resolution (not MMS) to the OEM external SD card. The card itself has over half its space left, so I'm not running out of room.

I know it can be suppressed with the screen off, but I need to suppress it with the screen ON. When I roll over at 3AM, I need to know what time it is, not that my battery is fully charged!!
