Sometimes on my home screen, the entire notification bar is missing. The problem is on and off, but out is getting really annoying.
I if use my Finger to swipe down, it still drags down the notifications, but I still can't see the time, battery, etc.

I'm running a captivate with Froyo on it, and every time I start the phone 2 apps disappear from my home screens. One being Angry Birds, and the other being Labyrinth Lite. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Are there any fixes?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI finally got my email up and running. Now two different times my mailbox simply emptied. The account was still there and fine, bu tthe emails just went back to 0/0. They are not in Trash, they are gone. I am not sure what I am doing to make the mailbox empty. I tried switching to K-9 but for some reason when I was using K-9 any attachments came in as dat files and I was unoable to view pdf's or Word docs etc when using K-9. Anyone deal with this yet?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using Launcher pro, and at random times, I go to the home screen to see all the icons missing. The dock's still there, but yeah. Only way to fix this would be to restart Launcher Pro, after which I'll have to wait around 30 seconds to even a minute at time for everything to come back. Is there some fix to this/maybe better alternative for launcher/quicker way to get the icons back...?
View 2 Replies View RelatedOK, after being on the phone with AT&T for 2 hours and being conferenced call with Samsung this is the result:
Samsung claims that *3282# is the Samsung code to lower the notification volume.
Samsung claims that they are now aware that *3282# is the AT&T code to check our data usage.
Because of this conflict, they claim they will send an OTA fix; but will not state when that will be.
AT&T has been receiving many complaints regarding this problem. Samsung claims they have never heard of this before. Apparently they forgot to log in my call last week?
Its not really a problem then an annoyance..does anyone know how I can make it so that when I receive a txt or an email and I open it in another way then the notification bar that my droid notification led will stop blink and the notifications will disappear from the disappearing notification bar? I'm just try to stop the fact that I have to go into LPP settings, make my bar re-appear, erase notifications, then make it so the bar disappears again.
View 10 Replies View Relatedmy Droid RAZR MAXX (4.1.2, not rooted) .So basically, whenever I have a notification in the notification bar (be it from the SMS app, WhatsApp, etc.) and I go to slide it down, the bar at the top disappears and then the background (the apps and widgets remain in place) goes to black for a few seconds then returns to the normal background repeatedly for several minutes. This keeps happening until finally the notification bar returns and the background returns to normal. While all of this happens, I cannot open any app. Upon selecting an app, it simply crashes right away. Doesn't matter which app it is. They all crash.
I should note that the exact same thing happens when I long-press the home button to bring up the running apps.
There have only been a few occasions where everything worked properly in the past few days. That is, I long-pressed the home button or dragged down the notification bar without any issues. I am not eligibile for a new phone upgrade until March 2014 so I am kind of stuck with this phone for now.
I am getting a error from a text I got yesterday from a friend. I deleted his THANKS BRO and it keeps coming back like I have a text from the original time yesterday same message? It's driving me nuts any suggestions?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have AT&T with the Samsung Captivate.I came from an original iPhone The iPhone was having lots of issues such as getting a new voice mail notification but no missed call, or I would get a missed call and they said they left a voice mail, but I would get no voice mail notification.Texts were hit or miss and my wifi didn't work...and I guess that isn't really relevant to this conversation.Anyway, since AT&T finally put a decent android phone on the market, I got the captivate on Monday. Right out of the box it said I had 1 new voice mail. I check my voice mail and it says I have no voice mails. 2 days later it still says I have a voice mail, but when I check i don't. This is very frustrating. Does anyone have suggestions on how I can fix this problem? One thing I was thinking is that on the iPhone system I have a voice mail that I never checked and the captivate is reporting on that, but I'm not sure if that's really how it works.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI always create calendar appointments with an alarm. A few days ago I went to Settings/Sound and Display/Notification Ring tone and set it to "on time". Maybe a day or two later I created my own notification ring tone and set it in settings. The ring tone works fine in Astrid and Nudist. However, the calendar notifications still use the "on time" ring tone. I even tried changing the notification ring tone to "tweeters" but calendar still uses "on time", even after multiple reboots.

I have set the refresh interval at 30 minutes. and notifications checked (active). i have chosen messages, Pokes, Friend Requests and event invites all checked green under notification settings. For some reason, whenever i receive a friend request, i dont get notified under my notification bar. I always see that when i open the application. I was hoping to get notification without opening the app. do i need to do something to fix this? Or am i missing something very basic here.

Currently it is using the "On Time" tone, but when I change the notification ringtone, nothing changes. I can change the notification volume, which makes "On Time" louder, but I would like a different sound.

We use a paging system that sends me texts when I get paged.Last nite, unfortunately, as I slept with the phone next to the bed, I kept hearing notification sounds when email came in, and had to check my phone to make sure I wasn't getting paged.Is there anyway to set the notification bar to only notify me when a text comes in? Or is there a way to shut off the sounds for email and other notification messages over nite?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI mostly use wifi at home and office so I usually turn the 3G off using APNdroid and Smartbar. When I needed to use 3G on the street, I used APNdroid and Smartbar too. But there is just a grey 3G signal on the notification bar. I have to turn the phone off and turn it on to have 3G signal.

I see the same symbols when I pull down the notification bar, right above where it says "No Notifications" if I don't have any. They are @@@^oe@@ I find it very weird. I have been looking and I can't figure out if I can change those symbols or just get rid of them.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got my captivate about a week ago and have been having issues with my alarm clock. I set my alarm to wake me up every morning. Some mornings I am up before the alarm goes off so I turn it off, or atleast I think I turn it off. When the alarm is on I see the clock in the notification bar. So when I wake up I click the clock icon and turn off the alarm. I no longer see the icon on the notification bar but the alarm seems to go off anyway. The repeat for the alarm is set at "once". I just go in every night and turn it on. It just seems to go off anyway even when it is turned off earlier in the morning.ks

When I lower the volume with the volume rocker switch, it only lowers the ring volume. Is there a way to set a global volume so that changing the volume changes ALL volumes together?
View 6 Replies View Relateddoes anyone else have this issue where the deleted emails do get deleted but I get a notification within a minute that says 'new emails' and it will tell me that I have x new emails (x=number of emails I just deleted)but those emails are not actually there, just the notification comes up.I just clear it and all is good but i'm curious if anyone else has this issue.
