I have a new behold and I don't have a data plan so I run everything off WiFi. The market wont work though. When I create a new account it says checking username availability then says cant establish a reliable data connection to the server.

I just got a behold 2 (i know a little late) but i like it. I how it works although sometimes its a little slow.. maybe i just need a task manager. Anyways I have a problem and I have searched everywhere for a solution. I am trying to get onto the android market through wifi since I have wifi at home and dont need an internet plan. when i go to the market google wants me to sign in so i put my name and password and then it sends me to a catch. i input the symbols and then it asks me to do it again with a new catch. i figure maybe i put in a letter wrong? so i do it again.. and again it gives me a new catch. and again and again and again and it never ends. If i press the back button it will say its signing in but it never signs in. it just says signing in communicating with google bla bla forever. Is this just my phone? or is it a known issue?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI did a quick search to try to avoid repeating questions that I have been answered before, but I couldn't find anything relevant. I've tried to connect my BH2 to two different Vista PCs, the USB icon on the upper left corner of the BH2 shows up, but I am not given any mounting notifications that I presume are suppose to pop up on the phone? The PCs don't recognize the device anywhere and I've formatted the SD card before. Am I missing a step (or driver) here?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI use Windows Xp and the stock USB cable that came with the Behold 2. When I plug it in, nothing happens on the phone or the PC. Samsung says:
From any home screen, tap Quick List > Settings
Scroll down to and tap Phone Settings > USB Settings > Mass Storage > Save
Connect the data cable to the Behold II and a PC or laptop
When the Notification Bar indicates "USB Connected" tap, hold, and pull down
Tap USB Connected > Mount
On your PC, if prompted, allow USB drivers to be installed.
I never get the notification in the bar and windows does not see the device. I've also tried the Samsun Studio setting - no luck.
Phone is set to Mass Storage default.
16GB SD card installed.
I've tried it on two different computers both running XP; same story.
USB debugging is on.
I've installed the drivers in this forum and still nothing.
Sounds like a problem with the phone connection or the cable. Thoughts?
I am unable to connect to my PC with the USB cable!! Last night I was loading some stuff on my phone and the USB was acting up and now today when I plug it in it acts like I am plugging in to power. I installed usb switcher from the market and it tells me that I need to hook up to usb first. I reset the phone and it did not help, I have tried to to change the settings from mas storage to pc studio and turned on debugging.
View 1 Replies View RelatedToday I decided to install the tweaked V3 W/Take 5. Started to update rom and couldn't get phone to connect. It would say debugging was working but nothing in ADB > Devices. Long story short A few hours of fiddling Took out SD card and it started working. Formatted the card Flashed rom. Worked a few times and now nothing. Every now and then when i reboot the phone it will work. It only works for 20 minutes or so and then stops. I get the USB Connected Prompt and when I press it (waiting for the Mount window) It goes back to nothing.ectly.

I think I saw this happened to someone else here, but I can't find it.
I have only had my phone for a few days and i'm starting to have some problems with downloading apps. At first I had no problems I downloaded 8 or 9 of them and they installed fine. Then I was not able to download anymore. Each one I tried to download said "download failed and did not install. When I looked at my status bar it showed 10 or 12 apps that did not download. So I did a factory reset and cleared everything out and started again. The same thing happens I get 5 or 6 and then the rest give my error saying not downloaded and not installed. So again I did a factory reset and tried again and came across the same prob. I got a few and then no more. I do not have a data plan yet. So I'm just using the wifi in my house. The ones that did not download i left them over night thinking they might get done by morning but no luck.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've scoured Google and people are reporting similar problems but the solution suggested is not working for me. Anywho..I'm trying to get either Open Home or GDE. The problem of course, is that the app isn't on the Market. All there are are themes. I searched for "Open Home Full" and nothing. One of the suggestions online was to download "Barcode Reader" and use that while on a computer to scan the barcode on GDE's website. Of course, there is no "Barcode Reader" when I search the Market.
Why is this so difficult? What am I doing wrong? I remember when I had my G1, I was very easily able to install aHome a while back. I can't find ANY of these now!
I did a reset on my BH II and now when I go to the market the Phonebook app by Voxmobili is not there. I have tried a number of different searches for it and it is just not coming up.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI recently was having trouble with the Wifi application on the Behold 2. If turned on it would scan, but would not see any of the available networks. If the wifi was turned on and the phone went to sleep, I could not wake the phone. I would have to take the battery out, restart the phone, and before the phone would go asleep again I would have to disable wifi. The problem could be related my earlier attempt to install the rooted version of 1.6 and barnacle wifi that I tried a couple of weeks back. Whatever I did that time failed and ended up restoring the phones settings. I noticed a couple of days ago the problem I described in the first paragraph. I also wanted to ODIN the rooted version again and see if I could get Barnacle Wifi to work -- which I did. During this process I had done a soft and a hard reset trying to get the wifi to work, but to no avail.

I was told to try AppMonster, which has an option to Backup to SD. I do this and it says it's successful but my internal memory isn't going down. Does this just copy the files there as opposed to move them there? If so, is the another way/app to move the files?

My connection will turn blue, but it won't connect. I tried restarting the phone, restored the connections, and set up wifi again. I've turned wifi on and off multiple times.

It starts up fine, screen works well, but no connection to T-mobile, and Wi-Fi won't work. I tried searching for a network through settings but it won't find anything. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the Behold II through T Mobile and when I'm on the road and in certain places I will have full bars but no 3g, or wifi. When I try to send a text it says "Unable to send text, will send once service becomes avalible" When I try to make a call it says service unavalible.
It tells me I have full bars, and when I go to network selection, it doesnt matter what network i choose or whats avalible it wont connect to it, a message will pop up and say "Network with limited service avalible, search for network" ..if i say yes it just does the same thing all over again, and if i say no it goes into automatic mode and wont let me do anything once again..
I have full bars, does that not matter? If I have to have 3g then why would it tell me i have a full signal when I really dont.
I just got a new behold II and i love it but there are some problems for which i need your help
1)the phone keeps jumping out of mass storage mode every 2 minuted after i mount it and so transfers get canceled in between
2)wifi does not work it sometimes gets connected to the router and sometimes just says "obtaining IP" and when it connects i cannot access internet. (but it somehow worked once i dont know how)
3) I have to send a message twice to certain people the first message always does not get sent
having trouble signing into the market from my friend's moment phone is fine, wifi works, evdo is fine, can get onto internet.
