I bought this phone 2 months ago and was never able to connect to the Market. NOw i cancelled my insurance and Sprint tech support cant help me. I have a Gmail account but it keeps giving this message " Cant establish a realiable data conncetion to the server" You tube and the Internet work just fine.. Ive tried turn off the phone and taking out the battery

Someone raised the issue to me that Samsung blocks non-market apps. I thought I heard that about at&t or other samsung phones. With all the satisfaction with this phone I couldn't imagine that this would be the case.The Epic 4g can/will run apps just the same as the EVO (no rooting involved), no unexpected restrictions?
View 6 Replies View Relatedmy husband currently has the Epic. Picked it up for him launch day and sent it out to Iraq the next day. He received it today.He had an Evo before the epic and never had this issue. the issue he's having is, obviously he doesn't pick up sprint service out in iraq, but with his evo he was able to pick up wifi and connect to google talk, qik, etc.his epic is allowing him to connect to a wifi signal, but it won't allow him to connect to google talk, qik, etc. it keeps saying "can't connect to server". like i said, he never had this issue with the evo.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a samsung epic 4g, rooted with Kernel version 2.6.35.7-gefb31a4. I installed PDA net on my phone and on my macbook pro. I see the Icon on the top bar of my mac but there is always a red "X". I clicked debugging and everything the application told me to do on my phone and on my computer but every time I plug it in and press connect, my mac tell me there is no phone connected. I have done all the proper updates. my goal is not to have to always use my wifi tethering.

When I click on that, I get a Window's error message: "Windows is unable to connect to the selected network. The network may no longer be in range. View 3 Replies View RelatedOne side effect I've noticed from the recent update: it seems like some apps are just gone from the Android Market. The one I know for sure is the MLB.com At Bat 2010 app. AppBrain still lists it (in fact, it shows that it got a price drop about 10 hours ago), but scanning the QR code, searching for it in the Android Market, even trying to install it from AppBrain all lead to the same thing: The item could not be found. I don't know if this is happening with other apps or not. I do know for sure that the MLB.com At Bat 2010 app was there before the update as I was trying to decide whether I was justified in spending the money to listen to the playoff games at work. But now it's just gone without a trace.Anyone else notice this or other apps missing?

Any ideas? I have seen some posts on a google site saying this might be related to google checkout, however everything there is current.

I have all of the sync options turned on and my phone still struggles to sync my gmail. This is getting quite frustrating. Anyone else having the same issues? I know a lot of people have talked about the market issues, but I haven't heard anything about anyone else having the same problems with their gmail.

Has anyone figured out how to do this? When I hold my finger on a text and choose forward, I only get the box where I have to type in each contact individually. Is there a way to show a list of my contacts when forwarding or at least a way to forward to a group? I have groups set up, but there doesnt seem to be a way to access them when forwarding. I have tried every option and every menu and cant find out how to do this on the Epic?

Quite frankly my biggest worry about the Epic at this point is the lack of support in the future, but it def has some features I do like.. (Mainly the GPU / Processing)
