View 5 RepliesWhen I get a call and the 2 arrows come up(updated software) and you slide right to answer left to end, the graphic for my arrows are pointing up but I still slide over. Heres a picture in paint to illustrate what I mean. any input? It started doing this a few days ago, so like a week after the software update.
View 21 Replies View RelatedI am so sick of having my phone ring while it is in my pocket and then when I go to take it out of my pocket to check and see who it is it ends up answering the call because it swipes down.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe one complaint I have about the Nexus One is the difficulty in swiping to answer a call. There have been similar complaints about the Droid. (See this thread: Problem swiping to answer Droid phone calls .) Is there a solution for the Nexus One? When the phone is ringing, I just want to press the top button to answer. Can this be programmed? I don't have Bluetooth headset yet, but I assume I can at least answer from that when I have it on. Is that right?
View 9 Replies View RelatedSwiping the screen to unlock and to answer calls makes this phone a two hander- which is annoying. Sure in the car with handsfree no problem but even walking having to use both hands is irritating. Is there an alternative?

View 13 Replies View RelatedSo i have my contacts in my phone, fine and dandy, when i first got my phone i accidently synched facebook contacts with my phone, meaning every person on my facebook with a phone # on their fb was imported into my phone, you know as well as i do, 90% of our fb friends arent phone contact friends, so i unsynched fb..now the issue im having is this. If i go into messaging, and in the To: feild i start to type a persons name in my contact to text them, for some people it doesnt show up, altho if u go into my contacts their name is clearly there. The other issue, is when i start to type names, it still brings up peoples names and numbers from FB altho their contact isnt saved in my phone..so everytime i wanna text someone i hasve to goto contacts, find them, clickhold and select text contact..kind of annoying for mass texts ect....
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was testing some apps that can move to the SD card. They move fine and run. After reboot i notice 2 things.
1. Icons i had on the home screen default to a generic droid icon similar to the market place icon. The apps original icon is gone.
2. Apps moved to the SD card disappear from the programs app try Is this just a bug with all 2.2 roms?
I just downloaded beautiful widgets and love it.the only problem is that the normal size home widget is messed up when I use launcher pros five row setting. Anyone know a fix got this.
View 8 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone use the swipe gesture on the dock icons for Launcher Pro? If you don't know about it... long press an icon on your dock and you can program what you want the swipe gesture to do when you swipe up on the specified dock icon. I recently rediscovered it and am trying to find any good ideas of how I can utilize them. Also, it would be good to share with everyone else!
View 4 Replies View Relatedis there a way to go through the pictures by swiping them like the storm, iphone, etc.

View 20 Replies View RelatedAs you know, when you boot up the droid, you get the option to swipe right and put the phone on "silent". However, once you set up your phone with a security pattern, the first screen to come up is the pattern screen, and then you no longer get the swipe right option screen. Is the only way then to go into sound settings and put the phone on silent the "long way"? Any way to get the silent swipe right screen to come up AFTER the pattern unlock screen?
Also, has anyone noticed that around the entire rectangle glass screen, there's a tiny groove on all 4 sides, which is starting to collect dust particles? I'm getting dust particles in these "tiny grooves" along the edges of the screen before you hit the metal. Yes, I do carry the Droid in a holster, and I'm pretty OCD about my equipment, so it isn't ME.
Update: According to posters below it doesn't work on their fascinate. You can control the screen brightness, by swiping right or left, up where the notification bar is. if it doesn't work, try turning off power saving mode. settings>sound and display>power saving mode uncheck
View 20 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a pattern lock widget and I wasn't sure if I really wanted to use it so I opened the widget and read the first screen or two to see what it was all about but I never set up a pattern on it - I decided that I didn't want the program. So I set my phone aside for a minute and the screen locked but when I hit the power button to turn the screen back on, the pattern lock screen was there, not the "slide to unlock" screen.
So I just ran my fingers in a random pattern (not even connecting dots - just a random swipe) and it let me right in, Okay, fine. Then I went and uninstalled the app and tried locking the screen to make sure it was gone. Sure enough, the pattern lock screen was there when I tried to unlock it. Again, I ran my fingers in a random swipe and it let me in. I tried pulling the battery and that didn't get rid of it.
So at this point, I seem to be stuck with a pattern lock screen to unlock my phone that is not set to any specific pattern...And I don't even have the app installed anymore! (It's not listed in the list of installed apps.) How do I get rid of it? I just want to go back to the stock "slide to unlock" screen.
Help! Thanks!
Ever since I updated to Froyo I've had trouble dismissing the soft keyboard by swiping down - frequently getting two additional characters typed (the one where the swipe started and the one where my finger left the screen) instead of dismissing the keyboard.
I know I can hit the back button to dismiss the keyboard, but is anyone else having this problem, and is there a fix?
I thought "Drag Right to Answer" only appears when someone is CALLING YOU on your Droid.
That is appearing now when I am calling OUT.
Did I mess up a setting or something?
So the other day i got a call and i pulled the phone out of my pocket and tried to slide to answer and nothing happned. I tried to slide it to drop the call and nothing happened. I then mashed a bunch of buttons in frustration and think i rebooted my phone. It did it again to me today, though after about 10 seconds it finally allowed me to answer the phone. I have weatherbug going without GPS as that killed the battery, also have pocket empires going today.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI got the Moto Droid yesterday and love it.I was just wondering if there was a way to change the slide to answer a call to where you just have to press. It's not that big of a deal I would just rather press rather than have to slide
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if theres any sort of setting or app i can use that would allow me to answer a phone call without putting in my pattern. It gets in the way during those "photo finish" call answerings where you push the button right before it goes to voice mail.
View 10 Replies View RelatedRecently I've noticed that I accidentally answer phone calls without realizing it while the phone is in my pocket.Callers then hear the rustling of my phone rubbing the inside of my pocket.I've read that when the Droid X's screen is off, I should have to slide to answer a phone call. However, even when my screen is off and the slide to unlock and pin number lock are active,I am still presented with two buttons when I get an incoming call. This happens regardless of whether people call my regular phone number or my Google Voice number.I have LauncherPro installed.Am I missing something?I'd like to have the slide to answer feature so I don't unknowingly answer phone calls.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid and it has worked perfect answering calls, until now. I just installed LauncherPro and now when I receive incoming calls I can no longer slide and answer calls. No matter what I do, the screen will do nothing other than show incoming calls and the slider, but the slider will not slide.
Is there anyway to answer phone calls (other than auto answer) without using the slider?
Like OMG guys lets talk about this some more. I'm pretty sure I wasn't using WiFi.
View 49 Replies View RelatedIs there an application to change the ability to slide to answer? For some reason a lot of times ill go to answer a call and have to end up sliding multiple times for it to answer. If there were an app to change this screen somehow, I'd be all over it.
View 3 Replies View Relatedfrom time to time, when my phone rings the option to answer it is not appearing. even when I unlock the phone there is no option. i don't have any live wallpaper. I wonder if Launcher Pro is causing the problem
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhy do I have a "Slide" to either answer or not answer every Phone Call? The problem is that it only started doing this when I just turned the phone off and back on. I have had the phone since release and it has never done this before. Does anyone have any idea how to disable this slide to answer or reject feature. I don't want it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm finding that I'm using the back button A LOT whether browsing the web or just navigating the OS. It kind of sucks because the buttons on the droid x are well, really small, and sometimes hard to press because they are so narrow and flimsy feeling. And depending on how you are holding the phone, it could be a good bit of distance for your thumb to travel or I'm finding myself having to reposition the phone in my hands just to reach the back button, which you seem to need very frequently.
Anyone know of any kind of back 'swipe' implementation ? Like some software you can install that makes it if you swipe left to right on maybe the top bar it goes back?
I downloaded the App Lockbot free. As soon as i did it changed my 7 home screens into 3 screen with no icons on it at all besides messages and the market. So i uninstalled it. Went into settings and chose my saved theme and it will not pull my old theme up...what can I do
View 39 Replies View RelatedI just did a factory reset because I have tried out bunches of programs and just wanted to start fresh, I did it all the time on all my old phones(palm and winmo) with no problem. It turns out that when you do a reset, not only do you loose all your programs but the phone has to be registered to your account. I got it back up in running, wifi works and so does making phone calls, all my contacts and e-mails are synced and I thought everything was good. I went to the market and it even shows me all the apps I had installed previously, however when I tell it to install something, it just stays stuck on the "starting download.." message...........
