from time to time, when my phone rings the option to answer it is not appearing. even when I unlock the phone there is no option. i don't have any live wallpaper. I wonder if Launcher Pro is causing the problem

Occasionally, a couple times a month, my Moto Droid will ring, the phone app pops up... but there are no sliders to answer. It rings and rings, and about the time that it's going to go to VM, the sliders will finally appear. Sometimes I miss the call, other times I can get it. More often, it will ring, and either the phone app doesn't show up at all, or it shows up but then disappears (phone goes black). I have to manually unlock the phone (I have gesture security), and then I can usually get to it. if the phone has gone black, I fumble around with hitting the power button, shaking it (I have screebl), touching the screen and finally the gesture screen comes up. Kinda feels like multitasking/processor priority issues they haven't elegantly worked out yet, but I wanted to see if this sounded familiar. Any apps that make it so that when the phone rings, processor priority is handed to the phone? I don't see the app killing other apps, just downgrading their priority to (nearly) zero until you're done with your call, or even just until you have answered your call. The flaw is just in the answering part. When a call comes in, I want my *phone* to be super responsive to that *phone* part of things, y'know?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had the DroidX a couple of weeks. This morning it stopped ringing on incoming phone calls. It does vibrate. Last time it rang is when I was playing with settings to have it stop ringing when I place if face down. I've undone that facedown setting. Ringer is ON. I've cycled it on/vibrate/off and back ON. Silent Mode is OFF Phone Vibrate is OFF Audible touch tones is ON and I hear tones on phone keypad Volume is Audible.I can select and listen to my ringer tune.

But the problem I have is even when I set my phone to silent or vibrate it still has and audible ring. Email and other notifications are silent but the ring isnt. I use home++ and stock home and it does the same thing. I can set it to silent using the stock silent or using ringer widgets. I will try anything, Ive had way to many embarrassing moments with Chris Brown playing during quiet time.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo when I get an incoming call, my droid-X rings instead of my car stereo. I have the car stereo set to ring, but it does not. So I constantly miss calls in my car to the point where I may as well not even have a bluetooth stereo. In California, we can't talk on the phone and drive so it's killing me that this does not work after investing money into the system.
Never had a problem on my blackberry. Basically if I have the stereo on, I'm not going to hear my phone ringing, I guess I could set it to auto answer (not sure if that works yet either) but I like to see the number from who is calling first on my CD Player's face.
when I put the ringer on vibrate it only vibrates when my phone rings, text, email or anything all just remain silent. How do I change it where everything I get makes my phone Vibrate?

I was wondering if theres any sort of setting or app i can use that would allow me to answer a phone call without putting in my pattern. It gets in the way during those "photo finish" call answerings where you push the button right before it goes to voice mail.
View 10 Replies View RelatedRecently I've noticed that I accidentally answer phone calls without realizing it while the phone is in my pocket.Callers then hear the rustling of my phone rubbing the inside of my pocket.I've read that when the Droid X's screen is off, I should have to slide to answer a phone call.However, even when my screen is off and the slide to unlock and pin number lock are active,I am still presented with two buttons when I get an incoming call.This happens regardless of whether people call my regular phone number or my Google Voice number.I have LauncherPro installed.Am I missing something?I'd like to have the slide to answer feature so I don't unknowingly answer phone calls.

I just installed LauncherPro and now when I receive incoming calls I can no longer slide and answer calls. No matter what I do, the screen will do nothing other than show incoming calls and the slider, but the slider will not slide.
Is there anyway to answer phone calls (other than auto answer) without using the slider?
I was wondering if there is an option to setup "auto answer" (like if my phone is connected to my car via bluetooth) for incoming calls. My old phone (LG Dare) had an option to auto-answer the call after the second call, not sure if there's an option for this (I tried looking under advanced bluetooth settings).

View 3 Replies View RelatedOften my Droid will only ring one time for an incoming call. If the call is left unanswered it is auto-answered after a "normal" amount of time. But I can watch the screen of my quiet Droid after the initial ring and count the seconds until it's auto-answered with my recorded greeting. It should be ringing during that time.
It seems to do this randomly, though it's really tough to troubleshoot and tell definitively. I sat for two hours with my wife's Droid, my laptop phone program and our regular house phone and got consistently inconsistent results!
I've yanked every phone call specific app and reinstalled them systematically, rebooting each time. I've taken a look at system apps to see if there is a conflict. I've also looked at (and pulled & reinstalled) audio setting apps looking for a conflict.
I've changed ring tones to MP3 clips, and while they do play in their entirety, they usually repeat and they are not. I've even done a hack to the system/build.prop file that changes the delay before the phone rings.
I just can't seem to figure out what's going on. Anyone have any ideas?
Has anyone been able to adjust the amount of rings on their phone? My phone rings about 6 times before it goes to voicemail but my girlfriend's phone rings only 4 times. I brought both numbers over from T-Mobile where they each rang about 4 times but now w/Verizon mine went up to 6. Tried calling tech support about it and they said there wasn't a setting for this on the phone itself and they gave me an answer like some phones just tend to connect to the network faster.

Does anyone know how to change the amount of times their phone rings before the caller is sent to voicemail? When I call my phone from another phone it only rings four to five times before it goes to voicemail. However, when I call my wife's eris it rings six to seven times before sending to voicemail.My phone is on v3 leak and my wifes is a stock 1.5.This is really frustrating because it already takes at least two rings from the other end before my phone even acknowledges someone is calling...and yes i've changed my slot cycle down to zero...so by the time it starts ringing the ringtone only lasts about five to ten secs.not enough time at all to even try to answer.

I have tried restarting but say I have a Peter and Paul in my phone, if I type a P it might only show me Paul and not peter. Usually, is the same names that never show up they never appear or disappear. I'm not rooted and I have done nothing nefarious with my phone that may cause this.

There are several contacts that do not appear when I try and send them a text I have to go to contacts and do it that way, but that won't work when I want to send to multiple people.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRooted Motorola Droid 1 running UD8. Having trouble with my apps that are on the SD card not appearing using LauncherPro. Getting to be very frustrating. Appears that LauncherPro loads faster than the SD apps. I have been successful in "Restarting" LauncherPro in the "Setting, Preferences" tab. When LauncherPro restarts the apps are then their for use. This does not happen very often when I aas I go on. Very, very frustrating to have apps on Droid and not being able to use them. Any help will be appreciated. Ready to move on to something else if I cannot get a working runnaround. This is what the window with the SD card apps that do not work looks like. This is the message I get when I try to use one of the SD card apps. This is what it looks like when I go into "Menu, Applications" to look at my apps. Stays this way forever. View 5 Replies View RelatedSo the other day i got a call and i pulled the phone out of my pocket and tried to slide to answer and nothing happned. I tried to slide it to drop the call and nothing happened. I then mashed a bunch of buttons in frustration and think i rebooted my phone. It did it again to me today, though after about 10 seconds it finally allowed me to answer the phone. I have weatherbug going without GPS as that killed the battery, also have pocket empires going today.
