I am so sick of having my phone ring while it is in my pocket and then when I go to take it out of my pocket to check and see who it is it ends up answering the call because it swipes down.

View 5 Replies View RelatedThe one complaint I have about the Nexus One is the difficulty in swiping to answer a call. There have been similar complaints about the Droid. (See this thread: Problem swiping to answer Droid phone calls .) Is there a solution for the Nexus One? When the phone is ringing, I just want to press the top button to answer. Can this be programmed? I don't have Bluetooth headset yet, but I assume I can at least answer from that when I have it on. Is that right?

View 16 Replies View RelatedThe one thing which I hate about Sense is the ridiculous swipe to answer feature when the phone is locked, I found Easy Answer Button and My Phone Tools. I used both but with limited success. It seems that with either one of those apps installed, I would constantly miss calls. The phone simply wouldn't ring and/or vibrate. I have my phone set to ring and vibrate when I receive calls. When using My Phone Tools, the first few seconds of the ringtone would play, and then it would be stop abruptly. With Easy Answer Button, the results were even worse: I would receive a call and the phone would not ring or vibrate. Of course, this didn't happen every time I received a call. But, when using these apps, a day didn't go by where I didn't miss a call because my phone simply didn't ring.
For those Incredible owners who have used either one of these apps, I'm wondering about your experience with them. Have you experience a similar problem with your phone not ringing/vibrating? I'm trying to determine whether or not it's just me or another app I have installed on my phone. It's been a day since I uninstalled Easy Answer Button and I have yet to miss a call. This leads me to believe that it's one of those two apps. Also, are there any other apps out there with a similar functionality? I'm currently running stock 2.2 (rooted, s-off), and not too interested in running stock vanilla. But I am wondering what other options to the slide to answer feature are out there.
I was curious about this myself, and i have seen numerous post about this on the forums complaining about having to unlock with the top button
I searched about nexus since it is similar and saw a few things about the app LOCKBOT, i recommend you atleast try the free version and see, it gives you unlock with the trackpad button and the ability to do custom lockscreen with different styles like Iphone, and different android locks. THis was one grip i didnt like about sense. Stock Android has the ability to swipe to unlock or swipe the other way to mute sounds, which is a nice feature, although i prefer my iphones switch the best
The bad...Ive read stuff about it crashing and being laggy, now i havnt experiended this on the INC, it runs super smooth. But i have been having a few times where the front button will not unlock the phone, maybe an update will fix this or something, but its worth a shot to look at.
I was wondering if it would be possible to make an shortcut app that runs in the background to simulate a home, or back button press... Maybe with a two finger swipe or something. I have the Droid X, and the only thing I don't like is the hard buttons.

I was wondering if anyone else has this problem and if there is a work around. Often I will get a call and the screen is locked up and I can't answer the incoming call. I have the same problem with the regular slide to answer screen or now using No Lock. I think it has to do with my hands being sweaty or damp since it is mostly when I'm working out doing hard work. On my palm pre I could slide open the keyboard to answer a call if this happened. Is there an alternative hardware button that will answer a call? Or, maybe an app that would change the power button answer a call instead of ignoring a call.

I do not lose the call but it is no longer hands free. I do not mind the fact I cant set up auto answering, but its useless if I cant receive hands free incoming calls.

There is a big pretty button on the left that has a green dot with a phone icon that you would think would answer it but it doesn't. Is there a setting somewhere, or a fix for this? Red button on the right with the phone icon hangs up, so you would think the green button would answer.

View 20 Replies View RelatedI'm finding that I'm using the back button A LOT whether browsing the web or just navigating the OS. It kind of sucks because the buttons on the droid x are well, really small, and sometimes hard to press because they are so narrow and flimsy feeling. And depending on how you are holding the phone, it could be a good bit of distance for your thumb to travel or I'm finding myself having to reposition the phone in my hands just to reach the back button, which you seem to need very frequently.
Anyone know of any kind of back 'swipe' implementation ? Like some software you can install that makes it if you swipe left to right on maybe the top bar it goes back?
This has happened a couple of times: I have the phone in my pocket and it's screen is locked, I get a call and the slide to unlock screen is there, but nothing will work for me to answer the call. No sliding in any direction will work, if I press a button it just sends the call away. I end up having to call them back.

When she wants to play with the inc, she can swipe the screen down fine to unlock it, but if a call comes in, she can swipe it to answer for the life of her, and she is getting very annoyed. Anyone else having this problem? Is there another way the phone can be answered? I have tried a hard reset and no dice. Please help before she throws it out the window.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI heart my Incredible, and I hope this was just a weird one time glitch.I saw a missed call from my boss, so I tried to call back.The call connected, but I couldn't hear her and she couldn't hear me.Tried several more times, tried another number, etc.Each time, call goes through, but no sound on either end.So I draw upon my Blackberry habits, and pull the battery.Phone boots up, I make a call, and everything is working fine.Any ideas what happened?It worked last night, and the only thing I've done since then is install Handcent.could that have caused an issue? Or is there a setting I've inadvertently changed that got reset when I pulled the battery out?
