When I get a call and the 2 arrows come up(updated software) and you slide right to answer left to end, the graphic for my arrows are pointing up but I still slide over. Heres a picture in paint to illustrate what I mean. any input? It started doing this a few days ago, so like a week after the software update.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo, the slide to answer / decline "feature" on my EVO is driving me crazy. I keep the phone in my pocket. When I go to answer it, it will generally auto answer or auto decline a phone a call. Is there a replacement screen for this? I'm rooted, so I could go with a different ROM if needs be? Or a mod or something? I've seen other people talk about it - but with no resolution.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just noticed that when I decline a call, it doesn't send the caller to my voicemail, it just leaves them with a beeping noise almost like the line is busy. Is there anyway to change this so that when I hit decline, it will send the caller to my voicemail?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am currently using xtrROM 4.2 and like many - am SICK of pocket answering my Eris. (I know this happens regardless of rooting). Is there a way of completely disabling the slide unlock to answer the phone? Using the Green to answer, Red to deny works perfectly well. I want it like an "olden-days" dumb phone. Is it at all possible to modify/flash the ROM to render the screen inactive for this? Most threads point to unlocker apps, but I'm trying to avoid them.

View 13 Replies View RelatedSo i have my contacts in my phone, fine and dandy, when i first got my phone i accidently synched facebook contacts with my phone, meaning every person on my facebook with a phone # on their fb was imported into my phone, you know as well as i do, 90% of our fb friends arent phone contact friends, so i unsynched fb..now the issue im having is this. If i go into messaging, and in the To: feild i start to type a persons name in my contact to text them, for some people it doesnt show up, altho if u go into my contacts their name is clearly there. The other issue, is when i start to type names, it still brings up peoples names and numbers from FB altho their contact isnt saved in my phone..so everytime i wanna text someone i hasve to goto contacts, find them, clickhold and select text contact..kind of annoying for mass texts ect....
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was testing some apps that can move to the SD card. They move fine and run. After reboot i notice 2 things.
1. Icons i had on the home screen default to a generic droid icon similar to the market place icon. The apps original icon is gone.
2. Apps moved to the SD card disappear from the programs app try Is this just a bug with all 2.2 roms?
I just downloaded beautiful widgets and love it.the only problem is that the normal size home widget is messed up when I use launcher pros five row setting. Anyone know a fix got this.

The screen says "slide to unlock the phone and answer the call" but if I want the call to go to voicemail I Have to let it keep ringing. also how do I get music from Itunes into the Eris?

So the other day i got a call and i pulled the phone out of my pocket and tried to slide to answer and nothing happned. I tried to slide it to drop the call and nothing happened. I then mashed a bunch of buttons in frustration and think i rebooted my phone. It did it again to me today, though after about 10 seconds it finally allowed me to answer the phone. I have weatherbug going without GPS as that killed the battery, also have pocket empires going today.

I just installed LauncherPro and now when I receive incoming calls I can no longer slide and answer calls. No matter what I do, the screen will do nothing other than show incoming calls and the slider, but the slider will not slide.
Is there anyway to answer phone calls (other than auto answer) without using the slider?
Like OMG guys lets talk about this some more. I'm pretty sure I wasn't using WiFi.

When it receives a call, it rings and you have to drag the little ring up to either answer or decline the call. Even when it is dragged to decline, it will answer.
the same does not happen when it is unlocked, because then it is given answer and decline buttons and he can just hit decline and it works.
Well I finally put my phone on the charger with 11% battery life yet. It was off of the charger for a little more than 42 hours! I have never had this kind of battery life before. Last night I was at 67% and figured there is no reason to place it on the charger, woke to it at 54%. I used my phone as normal; email, texting, calling, market, games. I really don't know why I had such good battery life. I keep my SetCPU at 767 performance when in use and charge and sleep mode are the same at 480.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI just did a factory reset because I have tried out bunches of programs and just wanted to start fresh, I did it all the time on all my old phones(palm and winmo) with no problem. It turns out that when you do a reset, not only do you loose all your programs but the phone has to be registered to your account. I got it back up in running, wifi works and so does making phone calls, all my contacts and e-mails are synced and I thought everything was good. I went to the market and it even shows me all the apps I had installed previously, however when I tell it to install something, it just stays stuck on the "starting download.." message...........

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've read around that the Apple headphones with the microphone do not work with the X. But all the threads I've read that from are from a while ago. What I've learned is that apparently other headphones with mics will work but these will not pickup your voice through the mic, and the volume and click buttons will not work. My question to you is, did anybody get these headphones to work with the mic and buttons? How did you get it to work? It seems to me that it is a software issue because other headphones will work, so has anybody configured there phone in a way to make it happen?

I can barely one-hand with the touch screen as it is, but the hardware buttons are making me change my whole hand position to press them. Plus, the cover I have on it comes right up next to them, making them even more difficult to press.
I kind of wish they were Droid-esque touch buttons instead.
