HTC Incredible : Incredible Display Is Changing / Setting To Work Out Color Balance
Sep 30, 2010Over the past week, the display on my DInc has been slowly tinting toward a redish/pink hue. It appears the greys are turning pink. Anybody having this problem with their device? Is there a setting to work out the color balance anywhere?

Motorola Droid :: Screen Timeout Setting Keeps Changing
Apr 11, 2010My Droid keeps losing the setting for screen timeout. It resets to no option being selected, which means about a 5 second timeout. I have to reselect 30 seconds, etc. I can't seem to find a pattern of situation leading up to it. Started on 2.01 and continued after 2.1 upgrade. Never rooted.

Nov 25, 2010Yesterday I went into my Gmail account and changed a setting, I think under the accounts/forwarding tab, and now every time I receive an Email in my Hotmail account, which is my primary one, I get duplicates. Two of every Email come in. This is rather annoying and clutters up everything, so I'm trying to figure out what setting dumbass me changed and how do I change it back.

Sep 25, 2010This just started happening lately. Every time I set my screen timeout to anything other than the default 30 seconds, it will just change itself back in a couple of minutes. I can't think of any apps I've installed recently that could possibly be causing this. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Apr 13, 2010I will try to explain a simple app scenario: My app goes right to a 'main view'. In this main view I have inserted a 'TextView' which displays current settings created by way of the PreferenceManager. For simplicities sake, let's say I have a checkbox in my settings. When I first start my app - the TextView on my main view shows my checkbox setting correctly (true). Now I go to the settings menu, it pops-up, and then I change it to false. I go back to the main view and...no change. It still say's true even after I changed it to false. If I end the app and then re-start it - all is well and it shows my change.
Apparently the main view just stays in the background while I'm changing settings? How can I redraw or update the main view after I change settings?
HTC Incredible :: Keep Changing Keyboards A Lot?
Oct 24, 2010Its awful. I can't get settled in. I keep changing my keyboard from stock, to swype, to swiftkey and now back to droidx latest version. Hate to say it but as of know I'm digging droid x, until I go back to stock in a few more days. Its just amazing that I can't make up my keyboard mind. Swype was the bomb, until I make just one mistake.

May 9, 2010Can I swap out my current sd card for a bigger one without any ill effects on the apps I have installed or will they cease to function properly? Wondering if a wipe of the phone and re-install of my apps is the road to go. The only reason I'm asking is because I thought the apps were saved to the sd card as opposed to the internal storage.

HTC Incredible :: Spontaneously Changing Notifications
Sep 20, 2010The problem seems to happen more often since the 2.2 update. Custom ringtones for individuals, as well as default ringtone, change for no reason, as do notifications. I typically set my notification at zero volume plus vibrate, then the next day I'll hear a notification go off, and find in the settings that the checkbox for using the same volume for notifications as ringtones is checked again. So I have to uncheck it, and slide the notification volume back to zero. Is there some way to lock my settings?

Nov 4, 2010First I only want to root to get rid of the preloaded apps that were on my phone. I know on my D1 I could use titanium backup to do so. Will this method work on the D inc? Also I want the wireless tether back. So can I Just root my phone without having to load a ROM to my phone? Also I have noticed in some of the video how-to's they show some files on your computer that you use to do the root but haven't seen any that show where you get the files from. I am also running Froyo 2.2.

Jun 18, 2010I tried to search to see if this was a known bug but didn't find an answer - so if someone has had this issue - I would appreciate their advice.
I tend to alternate b/w using Live wallpapers and regular ones. There's been no problems switching to a Live wallpaper but when I try to change the wallpaper to a regular one it reverts back to the default wallpaper. However if I do a reboot after that it will display the last wallpaper I attempted to change to before the reboot.

May 2, 2010I have multiple Gmail accounts on my Incredible and I want to switch my original default to one of the other ones. When you go under Settings>Sync...> it has the four Gmail accounts, with only one giving you the option to sync calendar. I want to sync the calendar of one of the others, not that one, and I can't figure out how to switch it. Also, the account is showing up as my Google log in for Maps. I've found an option to make the Gmail portion your default but no overall Google default.

May 24, 2010Every time I answer or make a call, the in-call volume is automatically set to the highest level. I'll manually bump it down two or three notches and it sounds fine, but then it goes right back to maximum volume for the next call. I've been through the menus, and I can't seem to find anywhere to adjust the default in-call volume. Does anyone know how to make that change?

May 31, 2010If I customize all of my alerts for SMS, email, calls, etc., to sounds (no vibrate), and put the phone in vibrate mode, does it replace all of these sounds with vibration? So that there is no sound coming out of the phone? Same with if I put the phone on silent? I would hope you don't have to go in and change the notification settings for each application to vibrate if you want vibrate, right?I've read some stuff that suggested that this could happen, and it doesn't make sense, but I wanted to make sure.

I never liked using the keyboard when you open it, I am so much faster doing it on the front screen with itap on the numbers.
