Yesterday I went into my Gmail account and changed a setting, I think under the accounts/forwarding tab, and now every time I receive an Email in my Hotmail account, which is my primary one, I get duplicates. Two of every Email come in. This is rather annoying and clutters up everything, so I'm trying to figure out what setting dumbass me changed and how do I change it back.

I got my Desire on the weekend, everything going well but I have a little problem.
I have added Gmail as may Mail program and it all works fine from the Desire but when i log into Gmail via the web on my PC I have duplicate emails for any I sent via the phone. I checked with a few people and they didn't actually receive 2 emails so now I am a bit confused as to why I get 2 in my inbox. I have a feeling it might be to do with Imap but if anyone has sorted this out?
I've noticed that duplicate emails are being sent to my recipients. Especially when I send a photfrom the camera by going "Share>Mail" it sends two emails to the recipient. I can't figure out why...Anyone?

My phone's stock gmail app will show new emails so I look at them and then they are all read, showing 0 new.But when I login to the web browser version, 5 minutes or even later(up to hours later), the web browser gmail is not updating to show that I already read the emails.I'm on JH2. So maybe it is a bug with the firmware?Or maybe a setting got changed but I'm not seeing how to handle the issue.

I'm wondering if it's impossible for me to use the same phone number to send a text message from either device which shares the same duplicated SIM card.
View 3 Replies View RelatedDue to circumstances at my work , I cannot access the internal network outside.
Therefore I have to use exchange active sync to sync my work calendar whilst I am at work.
To access emails outside of work with have a email route setup and a external email host.
The short is I have to add 2 accounts under the same email address. One which will connect to the work network locally over wifi and the other that will just allow me to view work emails externally.
This has worked fine previously but since my phone has been updated to 4.4 kitkat when adding the second account it pops up with a error message about duplicate accounts.
How can i bypass this message and add the second account?
I just have yahoo, facebook and Gmail synced, but some of my contacts show up 5-6 times and they're not from Gmail. anyone know how to remove them?

The problem is that under my contacts there are duplicate entries both for Gmail and Microsoft exchange. That is causing some problems with my SMS app (duplicate contacts) and wanted to see how I could avoid syncing Microsoft exchange and delete it from my contact but still keep it on my phone. I have already unchecked the box to not sync my contacts but did that after adding it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI had my Hero set the way I wanted it for the past 5 months, long story short, I ended up resetting the phone and am now try to add my yahoo mail, gmail, and my Exchange mail. When I setup my Exchange mail, I add an icon to my home screen, works fine. Then I bring another mail icon and add it to the homescreen and setup my yahoo mail, all is good, and so forth for my gmail. The way I had it set up before, I could click each Icon and get my mail accordingly in each of the 3 (mail) icons. In fact, before, one of the icons was even labeled "yahoo". NOW when I try to set it up, it wants to give me the same email in all folders. I do not have anything set as my default.

i found some trick with URI and content://sync/setting but it seems to be not possible with android 1.6 at least :-( any idea why? and what replaced this?
My Droid keeps losing the setting for screen timeout. It resets to no option being selected, which means about a 5 second timeout. I have to reselect 30 seconds, etc. I can't seem to find a pattern of situation leading up to it. Started on 2.01 and continued after 2.1 upgrade. Never rooted.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI use Touchdown for my email and calender etc because it syncs up with my company's exchange server much more stable nicer than the native app. However, the widgets for Touchdown are not very nice on the eyes like some of the calender/email apps that are out there for the native. Anyone know a way to rectify that?

So I click on delete and it disappears on my phone but on a pc or my tablet it comes back up.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI will try to explain a simple app scenario: My app goes right to a 'main view'. In this main view I have inserted a 'TextView' which displays current settings created by way of the PreferenceManager. For simplicities sake, let's say I have a checkbox in my settings. When I first start my app - the TextView on my main view shows my checkbox setting correctly (true). Now I go to the settings menu, it pops-up, and then I change it to false. I go back to the main view and...no change. It still say's true even after I changed it to false. If I end the app and then re-start it - all is well and it shows my change.
Apparently the main view just stays in the background while I'm changing settings? How can I redraw or update the main view after I change settings?
I am wanting to know how once I have read an email on my GMail app, for the email to be marked as read on the GMail server.What currently happens is whatever emails I read on my phone, are only marked as read on my phone instead of on GMail itself, so when I open up Thunderbird (or GMail on the web), I get a load of emails what are 'new', when infact I have read them on my phone!

I had a very very very vitally important email sent to me yesterday, and after viewing it, it just vanished. Gone for good. I can't find it. I've checked every folder, I've checked All Mail, I've checked trash, I've checked spam, drafts, everywhere. This is the 3rd or 4th time I've had an email vanish in the past 3 months. Completely gone, as if it never existed, without me deleting it.Has anyone else experienced this with Gmail? I've tried waiting, but it never goes through. I eventually go and delete this "Sending" email from the Outbox. However, I'm able to send/receive with the regular Email client that's set up to my work's Exchange server.

Now when I open my gmail, I need to open each email individually in order to delete it. Is there a way to change this?
