May 12, 2010I know that the camera is good as is, however, I was wondering if anyone played with camera setting to come up with the best settings as most of the stock settings set at neutral.

View 5 RepliesI have yet to get a decent picture with the camera. My Blackberry Tour took great shots without any fuss. I tap to set the focus to specific points in the shot, but it never gets sharp. They always look grainy or soft. Anyone else having this issue or do you have hints?
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor those of you out there that have messed around with the camera on this thing...Have any of you tried out the panoramic setting on it? I don't quite understand how it works. I took the first picture and it said 1/8 then I tried to take a second one and it just saves the picture.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a way to change the light sensitivity of my Evo 4G camerea. I know it is not the camera's shutter speed because it is a digital camera. The next most relevant aspect is the ISO setting, but the Android SDK does not have a way to manipulate it. Does any one know an alternative? i.e scene mode, exposure or effects.Does anyone have the run down on what scene mode values represents?
View 3 Replies View RelatedAt the moment I am attempting to set my camera on my Motorola Droid phone to take an image that matches the size of my screen (854 x 480 pixels), and I am attempting to accomplish via the parameters for the camera as such:
CODE:.................
I have my activity implement the Camera.PictureCallback method of onPictureTaken (excluding log calls), so when the takePicture method is called it runs this method:
CODE:..........
For some reason though, my camera is taking pictures in 1280 x 960. Is this some sort of minimum size the camera can capture an image in? From log calls I can see that the Camera's parameters are still set to have a picture size of 854 x 480, but image keeps coming out as 1280 x 960. Am I decoding the image incorrectly, am I setting the camera's parameters incorrectly, or am I doing something else wrong?
Basic but frustrating issue with my Droid X - the time stamp for the pictures that I take are way off - the date is actually right, but the time is something like 7 hours too fast.My phone's date and time is set correctly, of course (it does so automatically) - for some reason though, the camera's date stamp is wrong and I can't figure out how to adjust it. Any idea how I can fix the date and time for the camera?
View 7 Replies View RelatedThe only thing that I have been seeing is that when I take a picture from my phone and save it to my background, I have to crop it and then it gets a little zoomed in and the resolution is not the same as it was. There a way I can download or photoshop my images so its the right resolution for my captivate?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I spent the last hour or more in my backyard in 107 degrees taking pictures of flowers at stock settings with both phones. NOT an easy task I will tell you that. My back hurts, but besides that... I did my best to show the best quality of BOTH cameras, because they are both great. I realize that not everyone will agree with me, or will think I messed with something in my pictures. But these are all completely stock settings, not messed with at all. I only touched the flash on/off button.
My decision is I like the X camera better, it is easier to focus, and much snappier. Plus designated camera button! I found on the Incredible while the pictures look great on the phone itself and in gallery, that as soon as they were uploaded the colours looked washed out and not as great. I know this is due to the AMOLED screen. But both overall great. My decision is the X though.

Over the past week, the display on my DInc has been slowly tinting toward a redish/pink hue. It appears the greys are turning pink. Anybody having this problem with their device? Is there a setting to work out the color balance anywhere?

Coming from a blackberry, I REALLY like the "phone calls only" setting. It meant that I didn't have to hear alerts all night for emails and text, but if someone called me I would know. is there a similar setting, or at least an app, that provides this function? I think it's a good idea for those of us who don't have a land line, and dont want to hear alerts all night but forget to take off silent in the morning.

View 9 Replies View RelatedThis question has been tossed around, but not really answered directly for the incredible. It appears that Android on the Incredible is different, so opening a contact, (people) on the Inc is nto the same as the Droid and edit/ringtone is not available. Can anyone give me a step by step of how to assign a specific ringtone to someone in my people/(contact) list?

View 1 Replies View RelatedEdit a contact, and click to add a birthday event.
Select a date and press OK
Notice you're taking to the contact screen, but the date is one day what you selected.
Example:
I select February 20, 1982 and press OK
The field now shows February 19, 1982
Interestingly, when you save the contact, the correct date is shown in the field. That is, February 20, 1982
How do you. Change a contacts settings to primary? Like in favorites you can set primary as email or phone...
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have noticed where it is sometimes mentioned that on the Inc, they go to settings and somehow monitor the signal strength.... like -80 to -90, etc. I have looked and can't seem to find it. In fact, I have looked all through various wigets and programs and still haven't found anything concerning signal strength...

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to view the navigator without setting a destination. My old Garmin just had a map view and you could see "nav mode" while just driving around. I don't see an option for this with google nav.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo obviously, I need to enable Location Settings in order to get GPS ability in Google Maps. But I don't see why it needs to have an icon taking up valuable space in the status bar (as a side note, there's an icon to indicate that it's OFF, so you can't NOT have a location setting icon on there). There was no such icon on my Droid.
Is there a way to disable this icon that anyone knows of? With Wifi/3G, the battery meter, alarm clock, the time, and the bars, they take up over half of my status bar. The problem is compounded by the fact that I have a battery app that always displays the exact battery percentage on the left side (another side note; why isn't the exact percentage shown on the default battery icon?
I got a soundboard where you can long press one of the sounds and then set it as a notification or a ringtone. I did it and picked notification, but it doesn't seem to take effect.
Is there something I need to do phone wise in the settings to tell it to listen to that sound board?
When I stay in a hotel I like to set my phone to turn off all notifications except the ringer for incoming calls. Is there a quick, easy way to do this? My blackberry Storm had this as an easy to access option.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI thought that there was a default setting to change all numbers in Contacts to list a particular number (mobile, home, work, etc). I would like all of my contact's primary numbers to call home numbers and not mobile numbers. However, some of them are set to Work as primary while others are set to Home. How do I change this?
