Can I swap out my current sd card for a bigger one without any ill effects on the apps I have installed or will they cease to function properly? Wondering if a wipe of the phone and re-install of my apps is the road to go. The only reason I'm asking is because I thought the apps were saved to the sd card as opposed to the internal storage.

Over the past week, the display on my DInc has been slowly tinting toward a redish/pink hue. It appears the greys are turning pink. Anybody having this problem with their device? Is there a setting to work out the color balance anywhere?

Hate to say it but as of know I'm digging droid x, until I go back to stock in a few more days. Its just amazing that I can't make up my keyboard mind. Swype was the bomb, until I make just one mistake.

When I was on the main home screen, the phone switched over to all three of the left home screens on its own (it switched to these home screens one after another). Is there any way to change it so instead of having the useless "verizon" tab I can have the far more useful "downloads" one?
The problem seems to happen more often since the 2.2 update. Custom ringtones for individuals, as well as default ringtone, change for no reason, as do notifications. I typically set my notification at zero volume plus vibrate, then the next day I'll hear a notification go off, and find in the settings that the checkbox for using the same volume for notifications as ringtones is checked again. So I have to uncheck it, and slide the notification volume back to zero. Is there some way to lock my settings?

Also I want the wireless tether back. So can I Just root my phone without having to load a ROM to my phone? Also I have noticed in some of the video how-to's they show some files on your computer that you use to do the root but haven't seen any that show where you get the files from. I am also running Froyo 2.2.

And I've been looking around and I'm an idiot and all my contacts were on my phone not google, so does that mean they are lost forever unless I restore with nandroid?

I tend to alternate b/w using Live wallpapers and regular ones. There's been no problems switching to a Live wallpaper but when I try to change the wallpaper to a regular one it reverts back to the default wallpaper. However if I do a reboot after that it will display the last wallpaper I attempted to change to before the reboot.
How do you. Change a contacts settings to primary? Like in favorites you can set primary as email or phone...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have multiple Gmail accounts on my Incredible and I want to switch my original default to one of the other ones. When you go under Settings>Sync...> it has the four Gmail accounts, with only one giving you the option to sync calendar. I want to sync the calendar of one of the others, not that one, and I can't figure out how to switch it. Also, the account is showing up as my Google log in for Maps. I've found an option to make the Gmail portion your default but no overall Google default.

I'll manually bump it down two or three notches and it sounds fine, but then it goes right back to maximum volume for the next call. I've been through the menus, and I can't seem to find anywhere to adjust the default in-call volume. Does anyone know how to make that change?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIf I customize all of my alerts for SMS, email, calls, etc., to sounds (no vibrate), and put the phone in vibrate mode, does it replace all of these sounds with vibration? So that there is no sound coming out of the phone? Same with if I put the phone on silent? I would hope you don't have to go in and change the notification settings for each application to vibrate if you want vibrate, right?I've read some stuff that suggested that this could happen, and it doesn't make sense, but I wanted to make sure.

What I cannot live with is that when I save my setup to Custom x, I cannot recover my previous screen settings apps, etc.

I never liked using the keyboard when you open it, I am so much faster doing it on the front screen with itap on the numbers. Does the droid have a setting like this where you can change it from a keyboard to a number pad and text that way? Help would be appreciated, I am a big texter and it will be a big factor.

View 2 Replies View Relatedokay, this is really frustrating. i got my 2.2 today, and then i did a factory reset. everything is great except i can't seem to get my keyboard to change to swype. i have it installed, and i select it as my keyboard, but i cannot get it to come up. i have the official beta, and i also have a modified version with microphone, and i've tried both, neither is being recognized. does anyone know how to get my phone to use the swype keyboard when i have selected the damn thing? is there an additional setting i have to find? it's not app specific, either, i've checked several things, handcent, internet, mail, whatever. stock keyboard is all i get.

My question deals with the process I need to go through to keep my current phone number (I've had it for 7 years and use it for business). What exactly do I need to do? Do I need to cancel my Alltel contract first? Note: this will mean paying the ETF fee associated with my Alltel contract since I am over a year away from my 2 year contract running out.
