I might be a little late on this but does adding another person during a call cost extra? I just found out by pressing menu during a phone call lol. Would I be charged for a 3-way or conference call for doing that?
BTW what does the flash thing do (The 1 that has a phone with arrows pointing in opposite directions)

View 2 Replies View Relatedso the phone does the great thing of recognizing when you're using the phone on a call but if you hold the phone with you shoulder or just not right against your face it activates the screen and you hang up on people. does anyone know how (or if) you can turn that function off so that if you want to activate the screen during a call you have to press a button or physically activate the screen?

First when i am pulling it out of my pocket i accidentally answer it before i am ready to. The other problem is when i see someone is calling and i try to answer it, the call gets hung up on sometimes. I was hoping that somehow maybe an app would appear on the screen where i could enter a code or something like that.

This is a feature I used 10 times a day on my blackberry and I can't believe there wouldn't be some way to do it on the incredible. I am a sales rep and when I set up an appointment I put the name of the office and then I type the phone number right next to the name. When I opened the entry on my bb I could then click on the number to initiate a call. The incredible doesn't seem to recognize the phone number as anything different than text..

Someone on another post posted that under the new update you can no longer use the GPS and take a phone call. I immediately thought this guy was a dumb ass but to my surprise he was correct. Once you take the phone call the data connection is lost.So my question is which really dumb engineer thought this was a good idea? Seriously that is about the dumbest thing I can think of! Like people dont take phone calls while trying to find their way to someplace?

View 7 Replies View RelatedThis morning, I was on the phone when I realized I needed to refer to a gmail thread. So I put caller on speakerphone, hit the home button, went to gmail. I wasn't able to pull up an email thread from several days back that was in my inbox. I was getting a "no signal" "Retry" button.
I tested it again when I was on another call a bit later, and tried to pull up the same email, couldn't do it. Same error message. But oddly enough was able to pull up an email from just yesterday.
What I don't know is, is gmail having trouble because of how old the email is? Freak occurence?

my incredible reboots randomly, first noticed one while on a phone call with my dad. It was over bluetooth in car with navigation & gps on. It rebooted mid conversation. I was on 95 in baltimore with 4 bars and 3g. Everything since has been while listening to slacker. Either while phone is sitting there or while surffing the web. Once was while listening in the car in philadelphia on 95 no navigation (always 2-3 bars and 3g) and it didn't start crashing until about two weeks ago. Every crash has been while plugged into a charger also. I haven't noticed any crashes off charger.

View 18 Replies View RelatedI recently got a new dinc (within the last week) and it worked fine for a while but then suddenly stopped being able to call or text. i get the cause code: 1 and error class: 3 when i try sending a text, and when i start a call i hear an automated voice telling me that my the authentication for my phone has failed. I've tried reprogramming it a few times using *288 option 1, which fixes the problem for a few hours, but then it stops working again. does anyone know a fix or why this happens?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI tripped walking down the street with my friends today beyond skinning and cutting up my arms and knee's and getting road rash the fall also took a nasty toll on my incredible. It cracked throughout the screen and it is slowly turning a greenish tint color around the cracks and throughout the screen. It is becoming completely unusable. I got my original droid incredible back in may and I just received a like new replacement a week ago. I do NOT have insurance. What are my options here? I have also invested over $170 into this phone through cases, extended battery and micro SD card.

View 6 Replies View RelatedOk , so I'm running the SkyRaider 3.0 3.0 Vanilla RC3 Rom with the King#4 Kernal. I like it, but the battery is sucking. Anyway. I'm think I am going to rom back over to ShadowRom, which I enjoy and got decent batterylife, and the facebook pictures thing worked yesterday.
Anyhow. The question is about the keyboards. For whatever reason (my fingers/thumbs really like the keyboard and predictive text that comes with stock and in SkyRaider. How can I get that keyboard over to ShadowRom? Is there an apk or something?
Is there any way to change the vibrate options. All I can find is either on or off. I'd like to have to phone vibrate constantly when I have an incoming call but not at all when I get a message or email. Is there a vibrate options section I'm missing?

I usually can fix problems by myself, because I am skilled in Android, but this one I have to turn to my friends in the Android community and ask for some assistance. Next, the phone will randomly change my ringtone. Next, the Sense clock/weather widget displays a location that I don't even live in, and sometimes it will show just a number. How I can fix this, without rooting (waiting for official Froyo).

I would love to try other roms or other things requiring a wipe, but id hate to re-download all apps and change all settings all over again.
For my first wipe, i ended up downloading each app one by one. Im assuming there is a more convenient way?

Just read an article on Locale and they said it is a must have. It allows you to automatically connect to WiFi while at home or work to supposedly save battery. It also can auto silent/vibrate your phone depending on where you are or who is calling. Among lots of other options. Now I am wondering if it actually saves battery or uses more because it is always running and changing stuff.

Now, I know that *72 will forward my calls to the number I specify, and *73 will disable that once I leave the defined area. The problem is that I use YouMail, and apparently *73 is the code for disabling the *71 busy/answer forwarding as well. It seems stupid that verizon used one code to disable 2 different features. How do I disable the *72 feature w/o disabling the *71 one?

Right now i'm only using one screen, and 1 dock (not multiple dock screens), but i guess i'm just trying to find out if this is actually any different than the normal senseUI. I see there are limited icons, and we can either use the LP icons, or the default icons, but maybe there is an expansion pack for LP that i'm not understanding? Also, what are you guys using as a clock. With LP, i can only add the analog clock, or other wigdet clocks i've downloaded, but can't load 10 clocks that came with the phone. I'm assuming those are senseUI clocks, and will not work with LP. Should i download clock widgets that will work with LP? Also, since i'm only using 1 screen, and 1 dock, and i really not utilizing LP to the max here ? I should be using the dock more, and using it for more applications to quickly pull up right? Does anyone have any advice on how to customize it a little bit to make the experience more enjoyable, or make it worth the while ?Also, battery life? Any difference? Is it the same? I have ATK that i run every once in a while to kill some buggy apps/games, I noticed that LP is running and taking up a good amount of resources, has anyone reported a really bad battery due to LP being installed?
