With Facebook integration and having tons of peoples phone numbers at hand in the Phone button, I really really would feel more comfortable if it would prompt me after clicking on a name. The touch is is super sensitive and even scrolling through, I accidentally called people I haven't talked to in years.

This would fix my only complaint about the phone! It's quite annoying when I'm in a call and doing something else on the phone, and I lose the soft end call button and can't hang up.

But after a minute or so it locks. You have to push power button before you can enter numbers- annoying. Is there a "keep alive" option I'm not seeing?
On a similar note, is there a way to make the phone lock automatically (like an app)? It's also annoying to have to manually lock it: I'd rather keep waking it up (if it was indeed idle and not running a program) than forget to lock it and dial/message everyone in my contact list from my pocket.
I really want a way to disable the soft End Call button that pops up in call. If there is an app or widget that some one knows of that can help me,can you please let me know? I'm sick of my face ending calls in the middle of a conversation. Apparently, my cheeks hit it at just the right place to hang up on everyone.

What is the app you guys use to confirm that you want to make a call?This stems from the fact that its all to easy to acidentally press a contact in android and trigger it to dial a call.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI did quite a bit of searching the web for a solution to my problem with the HTC Incredible. Surely I cannot be the only one with the problem? I answer a call, I'm holding it talking, and the screen turns on then turns off, turns on, then turns off, speaker phone on, I have to click it off, mute on, I have to press it off. etc, I know its just the heat from my cheek from talking, but it goes right through the lock button. What is the point of locking the phone if on a call so this stuff wont happen when your touch (my cheek in this case) just goes right through the lock. I have tried in vain to find an app that could fix this perhaps, but most are just for answering the call or dialing a call, or something to that effect. Any info on how to keep the phone locked when I press the lock button would be appreciated. I love the phone but I am using another phone to make calls because I cant use the Incredible to talk. I don't feel I should have to keep turning off the mute or speaker phone or locking the phone to turn the screen off every two or three seconds.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI use Google Voice (love it) primarily because of it's visual voicemail on my Droid. I do have a Google Voice number, and I'm trying to decide whether to set the Droid app to "make calls using Google Voice" or not.
I have no problem with giving out a different number, and my placed calls seeing the GV number in caller ID.
My question is, does this affect how the call is actually connected, from a quality standpoint? I tired a call both ways, and the sound quality seemed a little bit different. But then, I am an obsessive compulsive weirdo.
Is there any difference in call quality or routing between making a native Verizon call and a Google Voice call on Droid? (Like, does Google voice actual use 3G to connect to Google server over the internetz, then place the phone call?)
does anyone know if its possible or what app would be used to have the optical button work the same as the power button on the top of the phone. so if you push the button it would light the display up. or maybe its not even possible.

I was testing the app within a native Java wrapper on the device. It does not appear as if we can make a call from a web application hosted in a Native Wrapper.

I would rarely want to go to the dialer as I have all of my contacts saved. Its annoying when having a missed call and I press the phone button and then I go to the dialer instead of the call log.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo my End Call button no longer locks the phone today. I always hit it because I am trying to squeeze all I can from the battery. I did install the Not Call Log app because I wanted the button to return to Home instead of the default, but I did uninstall it. If I long press the button, it still brings up the menu to Power Off, Airplane mode, etc. It just does not quick lock the phone, which I really like.
More info: The end call button does re-lock the phone (turn off the screen) when it is already locked, but still does nothing when I am sitting on the Home screen (when I really want to lock the thing).
Lately I've started noticing that pushing the End call button while the phone is in sleep or idle mode wakes the phone up like the unlock button does. Has it always done this? I can't remember being aware of this feature last year when I got the phone.

I use to get little delays occasionally when I tried to make a phone call, and sometimes the keyboard was unresponsive when I tried to text. Always passed in a few minutes.
Now the thing is just lagging. delays all the time regardless of what I'm doing. I also get a message sometimes when I try to take pics saying I don't have file permissions for the sd card. A shutdown will usually resolve this.
Sometimes when I shutdown I can't restart it without popping the battery out for a few seconds.
I thought it might be related to an overclock widget I was trying so I deleted it without improvement.
Ive noticed when I put the Droid to my ear to make a phone call... the screen goes black... then it takes a couple seconds when i pull it away for the screen to re-appear.... How do I stop that from happening?
