Does anyone else have an issue doing this? I received an error stating "got an error stating this application requires network access. Enable mobile network or wi-fi to download data." My mobile network was on at the time as I was on a call. Any settings I should be looking at? I tried both the stock browser and skyfire & had the issue with both.

I am currently unable to browse the internet on any browser on my phone, other apps that access the internet work fine. I've removed a few apps that I updated this morning, such as juice defender, the rest were just games from what I can see. Is there a way to see when apps were last updated, obviously last resort is a full wipe but don't really want to do that if I can get away with it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOn both the emulator and my actual phone (tattoo) I seem unable to browse the SD card - when I run ddms and use the File Explorer, I can browse /data or /system fine, but /sdcard refuses to open, and its permissions appear to be "d---------" (which of course might be the problem).
Similarly when I use ddms's "Put file on device" it fails:
29:43 E/ddms: transfer error: Permission denied Failed to push about.html on SH9CELG00306: Permission denied
The above is for my actual phone but I get a similar error on the emulator (which does have an /sdcard).
i bought a new xperia x10 mobile it was running good, but sudddenly am unlable to browse while connected to wifi n cont even download apps from the maket ...i can do all this when am connected to 3g.

So can anyone please suggest me how to disconnect the incoming call as soon as it rings. I can get the notification when a call rings but unable to disconnect the call programatically. Has anyone figured out how to do this?
I can connect to the incredible over bluetooth, but when I browse the phone starting from its / directory, the sd card isn't anywhere to be found. I think it should in /mnt, but there is no /mnt listed.
Among others, there's:

LOST.DIR
dcim (only contains thumbnails)
download
foursquare
media (only contains facebook ringtone notification .m4a file)

I use quite a lot of apps on my current Nokia, and whilst have had a very quick response on this forum to an equivalent to the one I could not live without, I find it annoying I can't really look round the android marketplace to understand the apps without having an android phone in the first place! Is there a way to browse the marketplace without having a phone first?

I've tested on Windows & Linux and there's no reason (that I can see) that it wont work from a mac.
However, this is highly experimental and somewhat tricky to set up. It's also my first ever Android app and was built from scratch in the last few hours.

So I have the nexus one with Froyo 2.2. I notice I am able to use the hotspot feature to download some small media and talk on the phone at the same time via bluetooth or regular headset, Is this a feature someone overlooked or is it just me?
View 9 Replies View RelatedCan you tell me (viz. those of you with a working hotspot!), can you still use your browser when the hotspot is active. Just turning the hotspot on on my desire cuts the (mobile data) internet connection with the browser, and anything else!
In fact even after turning off the hotspot I have to toggle mobile data on/off & toggle APN's to get mob. data back.
Also which Orange APN's/usernames/passwords do you have success with & which not?
I have tried all the posted solutions & even HTC technical!
Any bright ideas anyone?

This is a feature I used 10 times a day on my blackberry and I can't believe there wouldn't be some way to do it on the incredible. I am a sales rep and when I set up an appointment I put the name of the office and then I type the phone number right next to the name. When I opened the entry on my bb I could then click on the number to initiate a call. The incredible doesn't seem to recognize the phone number as anything different than text..

I was able to sync using HTC Sync when I first received the phone but now I can't even get it to enter USB Mode. I was using the usb cable that came with the phone when I initially sync'd it, but since then i have picked up an additional charger/usb cable from my local authorized verizon dealer and can only charge the phone when i plug in the phone to the computer. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling HTC Sync and then installed the latest version of HTC Sync with no luck. I'm thinking that it might be the usb cable that i'm using (since i was able to sync before), but not sure if its something else (lack of driver or something like that).

When I connect my DINC via USB to my computer, the computer does not recognize my phone, there is no option for charge or disk drive like there used to be, it just starts charging, but the USB icon which used to appear in the task bar does not appear. I also have the setting set to "ask me every time I connect" on my phone, I have played around with this setting to no avail. The phone also does not appear in My Computer. I have changed USB ports and cables, and my computer recognizes every other device I have, so it is only a problem with recognizing my phone.

I succeded only when I resorted to using my PC connection, when both Astro and ES Explorer gave me "files cannot be moved" errors. I would prefer not to have done it this way, when I could have made use of such apps, but some part of the system is set against this. My phone isn't rooted, but I doubt that is the reason, as my PC was able to access files under /emmc (but not /system), and move them to my SD card. With my phone apps it's different, in that I cannot perform any operations at all under the root, not even copy (but I can look) Please help if you can!
