HTC Incredible :: Apps Disappeared Form Market Download List
Sep 11, 2010I noticed today that the "downloads" section within Market no longer shows any of the free apps that I downloaded-only the two apps that I paid for are shown. Does anyone else have this issue? Is there a way to bring this list back? A soft reset did not help.

Jul 23, 2010My market app has disappeared! I'm running plainjane2.1 and it was there and functioning properly the night b4. I did a nand backup last night and when I restored, it was gone. I've tried searching but can't seem to find a solution. Am I stuck having to re flash and wipe my data or is there a fix?

Jun 14, 2010I had most of my contacts in groups (Family, Friends, VIP, Co-Workers) and some in the ALL section. When adding a contact sometimes, the phone seemed to be a little buggy and finicky when deciding whether it actually wanted to classify the contact in the group i assigned it to or just leave it on that first set of "ALL". So i went through and unassigned all grouped contacts from any group, thinking they'd just sit in the ALL section. (I'm talking about the stock People app on the phone, btw) So anyway, they're not there. They're just gone from the People app all-together. All the info and pictures are still present in my call history and when i select one of them, the contact still exists and i can add them back into any of the groups, but not just have them show up in the ALL section.

Oct 1, 2010Basically when i install a new rom, the market has now lost the free apps because thats what it does. the market must have some sort of file it maintains locally with the list of apps, and whether or not they are set to auto-update. where is this list so i can just paste it into my new rom, and market will automatically get all the apps and maintain the auto update settings.(also i know and use titanium backup so dont reply with 'use titanium', i just want to do what im looking for so the market always gets the latest version on a rom redo and also keeps holding the auto-update status.)

Oct 24, 2010I resurrected my old Slingbox last night because I decided I wanted to try it with my Android phone. I got the Slingbox working again, and went to the marketplace to download Slingplayer for Android. I did so, and paid the $29.99 for the app.When it completed, I ran the app. It gave me the selection screen where you select the slingbox you want to use...I did so. All of the sudden, a screen popped up asking for the reason I wanted to delete the application from my Android device. It had 4 or 5 reasons listed....but no option NOT to remove it. I hit the "back" button. Well, the app is gone. If I go back to the marketplace, I see Slingplayer with the option to "buy" but not that it is installed. If I look at my bank account, it shows the charged. Now I can't figure out what to do. Is there some sort of customer service for Android (google)? I sure haven't seen it. If I got screwed out of a application, I wouldn't worry about it, but this was $30. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Mar 21, 2013I uninstalled some system applications on my phone and I instantly regretted it and restored applications from back-ups using Wondershare MobileGo for Adroid. However, although it seems all the applications are working again, when I unlock the screen, I get a black screen - no desktop, no application list, but with the notification bar on top which works properly. The clock and calendar are displayed on the unlock screen and the alarm clock woke me up... I got some notifications on the black screen: process.android.acore, process.android.gapps and process.android.vending stopped working, process system stopped working.

Jun 8, 2010I performed a hard-reset on my phone this evening, and I just noticed that the Google Maps Navigator program is now missing off my phone.This is a different program than Google Maps (it's far more useful for navigation purposes).My Evo isn't rooted or anything.I can't even find the program in the Android Marketplace now.The link from the google site now goes to Google Maps.

May 9, 2010My Hero was working perfectly with my googlemail calendar. then today, all the calendar events disappeared from my phone. i have tried unchecking and rechecking my googlemail calendar from the HTC calendar app but to no avail. other calendars work fien with my phone (UK holidays, USA holidays), it's only my googlemail calendar which is linked to my Hero which has stopped working correctly. i have also tried restarting the phone. all the calendar's events are visible online through my computer...they've just suddenly stopped showing up on my phone. any advice/ideas?

Aug 16, 2010I've had my Captivate since the 19th of July and have been pretty happy with it but today my email accounts disappeared from my phone.I've been using the email app that came with the phone without issues but today my personal gmail and my work exchange accounts vanished. I noticed I hadn't received a new email notification in several hours so I went to check my email it prompted me to setup an email account. Anyone else have this happen? I only have 2 days to return my Captivate, it's been a good phone so far but I cant afford to lose my email accounts for no apparent reason again. I haven't installed any new apps or made any changes to the phone.Coming from the Blackberry world I took it for granted that email just worked flawlessly.

Aug 23, 2010I still have some apps and my phone and wifi seem to be working fine.I don't have Market, Rom Manager, Titanium (but I DO have SuperUser). When I USB my phone to PC - the PC doesn't see either the phone pr the card although I haven't reinstalled HTC Sync). At this point, I don't really even know if I'm rooted or have busybox.I'm really puzzled as to what I should do next:I don't know whether to do a phone restore from Settings or, perhaps from Recovery? Or whether to find a RUU (Is there one with the updated radio or with Froyo? Or, I guess I could wait for the OTA - but that's a wimped out way out and it might not even work at this point. Or, do I want to try reinstalling Rom Manager and do the permission fix - then reflash one of the Froyo Roms. But would that get me Market back? In all cases I'm gonna have to reinstall most of my apps since most resided (at least partially) on the dead sd. Fortunately appbrain has a record of all my apps. - but, from what I understand, there's no way to install the Market, except via HTC/Google/Verizon.
