I noticed today that the "downloads" section within Market no longer shows any of the free apps that I downloaded-only the two apps that I paid for are shown. Does anyone else have this issue? Is there a way to bring this list back? A soft reset did not help.

Basically when i install a new rom, the market has now lost the free apps because thats what it does. the market must have some sort of file it maintains locally with the list of apps, and whether or not they are set to auto-update. where is this list so i can just paste it into my new rom, and market will automatically get all the apps and maintain the auto update settings.(also i know and use titanium backup so dont reply with 'use titanium', i just want to do what im looking for so the market always gets the latest version on a rom redo and also keeps holding the auto-update status.)

I successfully purchase the app, I got the e-mail that the purchase went through, then it hangs at "authorizing purchase". Specifically, I'm having this issue right now with Vignette.
Woke up with update message, ran update. Phone completely wiped out of ALL data. Was very upset Does anyone know how to find a list of all previously loaded market place apps? This is a total pain in the butt.

It is now sitting in my list of downloaded apps in the Market app (not the installed list) and it says purchased. There is an install option, which if pressed tries to download it again, but fails because it has been blocked. I don't want the app now and just wish to clear this from my download list. I have installed an unistaller app, but this just shows a list of the installed apps. Can anyone help me with a solution to get rid of this from my app downloads list in the Market app.

1st post, I picked up my EVO on Monday after having 3 different models of the iPhone since 2007. I am really loving android and how versatile it is. One thing I can't seem to find so far is a list of everything Google offers in the Market - apps, widgets, etc. Searching "Google, Inc." in the Market will bring a lot of non Google apps in between and it doesn't seem to load Google's apps first. Is their a website that has a definitive list of Google, Inc.'s offerings in the Market?

I deleted myspace and talk. a few days later when i download an app its stuck at starting download it just hangs there. Of course I though I backed up before I deleted anything and didn't. So I though a hard reset would fixed but didn't and removed all the apps I had installed.

I couldn't find any setting to sync it manually, so I figured maybe a factory reset would do the trick. So....after I did the reset, I noticed that none of my apps were downloading. They all said "downloading" but nothing was happening. So I ended up just restoring from a nandroid backup I did before the reset. Im glad to say that the Social Networking is updating now, but apps are still not downloading . I went to settings/applications/market and cleared the data and rebooted. Still nothing.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just installed CM7 on my Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5839i. Everything is working fine except downloading apps, every time I try I get the error "App could not be downloaded due to an error (429)".
I tried this fix:
1. adb shell
2. su
3. mkdir /cache/download
4. chown system:cache /cache/download
5. chmod ug+rwx /cache/download
6. chmod a+x /cache/download
But ADB tells me that the filesystem is read-only when I try to make the download directory in cache.

All of a sudden apps stopped being able to be downloaded or updated from the market place. They just stay on the 'starting download...' status which is rather irritating. I've tried clearing cache and resetting the market and know i've a master reset as a last chance option but has anyone any ideas before I do this?
