View 1 RepliesAnyone else having an issue with the android market? I can download and update free apps with no problem, but I suddenly can't download paid apps. (And no my credit card did not get declined ).
I successfully purchase the app, I got the e-mail that the purchase went through, then it hangs at "authorizing purchase". Specifically, I'm having this issue right now with Vignette.
I noticed today that the "downloads" section within Market no longer shows any of the free apps that I downloaded-only the two apps that I paid for are shown. Does anyone else have this issue? Is there a way to bring this list back? A soft reset did not help.

I'm going to head to the nearest Sprint store, & attempt to exchange it.My question is will I have to re-download all my apps, or are they stored on the memory card?

View 2 Replies View Relatedwhenever i update an app during the process of it downloading and installing it my phone runs really slow. i dont have a problem if im downloading a file in the background on the browser so i was just wondering if its only me this happens to.
View 10 Replies View RelatedBasically when i install a new rom, the market has now lost the free apps because thats what it does. the market must have some sort of file it maintains locally with the list of apps, and whether or not they are set to auto-update. where is this list so i can just paste it into my new rom, and market will automatically get all the apps and maintain the auto update settings.(also i know and use titanium backup so dont reply with 'use titanium', i just want to do what im looking for so the market always gets the latest version on a rom redo and also keeps holding the auto-update status.)

Do the apps get stored on the internal SD card on the phone? Or on the section where it says Internal phone storage?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have rooted the phone and did not have a problem with installing apps. I deleted myspace and talk. a few days later when i download an app its stuck at starting download it just hangs there. Of course I though I backed up before I deleted anything and didn't. So I though a hard reset would fixed but didn't and removed all the apps I had installed.

View 12 Replies View RelatedLast night I tried to download some apps from the Android Market. It doesn't seem to want to let me have anything any more. It'll bring up the progress bar and says "Starting download..." below it, but never gets any further than that. I've tried clearing the cache already with no luck.

I cannot download apps to my DHD
I still have some apps and my phone and wifi seem to be working fine.I don't have Market, Rom Manager, Titanium (but I DO have SuperUser). When I USB my phone to PC - the PC doesn't see either the phone pr the card although I haven't reinstalled HTC Sync). At this point, I don't really even know if I'm rooted or have busybox.I'm really puzzled as to what I should do next:I don't know whether to do a phone restore from Settings or, perhaps from Recovery? Or whether to find a RUU (Is there one with the updated radio or with Froyo? Or, I guess I could wait for the OTA - but that's a wimped out way out and it might not even work at this point. Or, do I want to try reinstalling Rom Manager and do the permission fix - then reflash one of the Froyo Roms. But would that get me Market back? In all cases I'm gonna have to reinstall most of my apps since most resided (at least partially) on the dead sd. Fortunately appbrain has a record of all my apps. - but, from what I understand, there's no way to install the Market, except via HTC/Google/Verizon.

View 11 Replies View RelatedYesterday, I noticed that the Social Networking app was not updating. I couldn't find any setting to sync it manually, so I figured maybe a factory reset would do the trick. So....after I did the reset, I noticed that none of my apps were downloading. They all said "downloading" but nothing was happening. So I ended up just restoring from a nandroid backup I did before the reset. Im glad to say that the Social Networking is updating now, but apps are still not downloading . I went to settings/applications/market and cleared the data and rebooted. Still nothing.

View 1 Replies View Relatedbeen trying to download and install a couple of apps last night and this afternoon but they are getting stuck on the "starting download screen"? View 3 Replies View RelatedI just installed CM7 on my Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5839i. Everything is working fine except downloading apps, every time I try I get the error "App could not be downloaded due to an error (429)".
I tried this fix:
1. adb shell
2. su
3. mkdir /cache/download
4. chown system:cache /cache/download
5. chmod ug+rwx /cache/download
6. chmod a+x /cache/download
But ADB tells me that the filesystem is read-only when I try to make the download directory in cache.
All of a sudden apps stopped being able to be downloaded or updated from the market place. They just stay on the 'starting download...' status which is rather irritating. I've tried clearing cache and resetting the market and know i've a master reset as a last chance option but has anyone any ideas before I do this?
View 9 Replies View RelatedWell im looking to get an android device soon, and after some searching around i came across this link:
Supported locations for distributing applications - Android Market Help
which doesnt list my country (cyprus). I basically cant download free or paid apps from the market
So is my only choice to download the .apk file from the net and put it on my SD card? Is there any other way? Also will the market app "recognize" which apps i have installed?
