HTC Incredible :: Photo Gallery Icons Disappeared After Froyo Update
Sep 2, 2010After Froyo update, the photo gallery icon "Photos" has disappeared. Is the only way to view my photos by opening the camera now?!

HTC Incredible :: Manual Froyo Update Broke "My Photo Gallery"?
Sep 1, 2010I just manually updated to 2.2 (successfully) but I started to panic when I couldn't find the camera shots category in the new gallery app. I mounted the phone to my computer and found the photos on my phones internal memory, so they're all safe, but I still cant view them on my phone. Also, whenever I take a picture and try to go back to review it later, I get a "no photos found" error, and the new photo doesn't show up in the directory of the previously "lost" photos from prior to the update. It's safe to say that I'm utterly bamboozled. Anyone else experiencing this issue or know how to fix it?

Seems like every time I take a photo or save it from a message, It goes into the gallery at the end of a Long line of pictures that I previously stored and I have to scroll all the way to the end to view it. May 9, 2010I've made folders and added pics to the sd card while i had it in my computer but the stock photo app won't recognize the folders but it does see the pics and puts them in both the stock folders (All Photos, Camera Shots).
Why can't the stock photo app (photos) recognize the folders I put on my sd card? I'm fairly tech. savvy but can't figure this photo app file structure for the life of me! Is there a photo/camera app that asks where and what folder I want camera pics to be saved too?

Apr 23, 2010Will the Incredible have the same 3D photo stacking view in the N1? Of all the review videos I've seen it appears it does not but it might just be they chose not to show that off. I really liked that ability to show 3d stacks of photos sorted by date. Is it possible to use the stock android app for viewing photos instead of the sense photo gallery?

Jul 25, 2010I noticed that I suddenly lost thumbnails of images that showed the previous day in the stock photo apps and also the Gallery app. They show up and open using Astro, but appear to no longer be seen by the indexes of photo and Gallery (but open fine using those apps via Astro). I tried B&B as well and same thing. They all must use the same index source.
I like the stock photo app the best, since it shows pics and movies for both internal and external memory. Never had this problem before. I tried SDrescan, but it just says "scanning" and even after two hours, never stops scanning. I have tried clearing cache, etc., but still they do not show, even when I created a new directory to put them in.

Sep 2, 2010I hate that the incredible default gallery shows videos and photos together in the same app. Is there any app out there that just shows your photos or is there a way to hide videos in the default gallery so I can see my videos with another app?

Nov 3, 2010Has anyone heard anything from htc or verizon about the lag some of us have after the update?My phone is generally just slower and seems to stutter a lot more.text msgs is a joke with how laggy it is to read and type them.I was messing around with a friends nexus1 and it was way faster than my incredible This is all after a factory reset etc.I am hesitant to do a reset again since I will lose everything once more.

HTC Incredible :: Rerooting After Froyo Update
Aug 28, 2010I already rooted my DInc and also applied unrEVOked Forever to unlock my NAND and verified that it said S-OFF. I applied the Froyo RUU leaked on 8.26.10 and verified that S-OFF still. I then installed ROM Manager (I purchased this earlier) and it says that I need Root access to use. How do I go about re-rooting the phone after Froyo is installed? I have been reading through the forum for over an hour looking for an answer with no success.

Sep 3, 2010This morning I woke up and my phone was offering me the froyo update, so I told it to do it and it went to the recovery screen with the little android guy and an exclamation point. Jul 12, 2010Droid incredible OTA update will be pushed on ???? to phones and to a lucky few before that date. My source says it will have the 720p as well as wifi hotspot, as well as the back end, speed, and battery life enhancements. They also mentioned that there would be some new htc widgets and better skype support.take it for what it is worth but i will try to get some visual evidence.if anyone is getting the ota on there phone please post a picture here!

Source says that It looks like this might only be a minor update and not full 2.2 from reports of people getting it already. We will have to wait and see to know for sure.

I am sorry to say that i have far less faith in my source after this blunder... now things may have come up such as a problem with the update or the fact that they are pushing out updates for the Droid x, droid Eris and the BB curve right now and the data load would be too much. What ever the case i thought that my source (who has been a very reliable one) would be right on but apparently something has come up. I'm sorry for getting everyone's hopes up but at least some good came of this.(leaked OTA) next time I will be a little more general with any dates that I put out.Verizon all but confirms Droid Incredible's getting Froyo soon | Android Central. So the latest rumor is that it will come out on the 18th of august.lets hope that this time it is true!
