Does anyone have the market icon, but only in red?
I like the stock one, but I want to replace the green with red to go with the rest of my phone.
Anyone have it or capable of making it?

I like the native icons on the Droid but want the phone icon to be green. Does anybody know where I can download one or how I can change it from stock blue to green? or maybe a little android icon with a cell phone in its hand?

However it shows up on my Market application ==> download section. It says "Purchased".
How do I remove this entry from that list while keeping the rest?
Anyone else have a small green dot sticker on the box the phone came in? I'd like to know what it means. I know on the blackberry tour when they had trackball problems when they fixed it they put a green dot sticker on it so that makes me think something has been corrected about the phone
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have just noticed that since a few days back my wifi icon in my CM7 nookcolor is not turning green anymore. Apparently the only related problem is gmail is not refreshing automatically. Google Play is working fine and I'm able to browse the internet.
The problem must be related to my wifi, because whenever I connect to my neighbors or my office wifi, it goes green without doing anything special.I read google play requires an specific port open in the firewall, which is not open in mine although Gplay is working without it.
Is there any specific port or another setting that should be enabled in my wifi in order to my nook to connect to Google servers?
Where can I get or find the green dialer icon that is in the app drawer? I want to use it with Launcherpro but have not been able to locate it?

I'm looking for a specific battery app that adds a % value to the green battery bar at the top of the phone. I don't want a widget on the screen or anything else. Just to add a numerical value to the battery bar.
I get the blinking green light for a notification like your are supposed to, however it does not happen when the phone is plugged in and charging. Any suggestions?

The icon is a down arrow with two arrows going around in a circle. What am I supposed to do here? I've pressed on the screen and held for a few seconds, pressed and held each of the buttons and no response. Not even the power button works.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have finally gotten my notif. bar just right. i used the 24k theme and changed the battery icon to green and slowly changes to yellow then red. Like this

80-green
60-yellow
40-yellow
20-red
0-red
charge-red
Then reverse order while charging i manually changed the Hue and Saturation of every icon in gimp and can upload them if anyone would like them.
I liked the battery icon but not the color and i didn't know if anyone out there would like to have them!
I have uploaded the pics of them let me know what you think!

Instead of sliding across to unlock the phone. You can use one finger to hold the green icon, then you'll notice a little green icon on the other side of the screen (where the sound off icon usually is, it disappears when you hold the unlock icon). Then just tap that one too and it unlocks.

I hit the icon and get a screen of my text messages none are highlighted in bold to say what's unread AND even after opening them all and going back to the home screen the damn green circle is still there. after a while it goes again?any ideas?

View 19 Replies View RelatedI had an edited png for the market icon in the vending apk but when I applied my edited png's to Ivans rom with the market fix it seems to have changed the icon back to the original market Icon. When I first loaded the rom it showed my edited png for the market icon but after my first reboot it seems to change the icon back to the original. I assume that the market is updating upon reboot so I pulled the vending apk off my phone and my edited png's are still there but its still showing the original market icon. Anybody else with an edited market icon notice this or any ideas of why its going back to original? I have tried this a couple times and it always updates after first reboot...

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've watched many of the Google IO talks and one that I'm trying to reproduce is "Developing Android REST client applications"[1]. In this talk Virgil suggests you should not execute your RESTful queries inside a Thread/AsyncTask spawned from your Activity (which I had been doing), instead you should use a more complex architecture that uses a combination of a ContentProvider and a Service. From what I understood the reason for this design was so your data was more persistent between app restarts, and so your queries don't disappear if your Activity starts/stops (e.g on a screen rotation). I buy into both those reasons hence I'm trying to implement this. On the slides[2] page 45 We have an Activity calling a ContentProvider. Now the ContentProvider checks its local database, if the content is not there it sends an Intent to a service which fetches the content, inserts it into the ContentProvider, then the ContentProvider calls back to the Activity (with a ContentObserver) and the Activity can carry on. The question I have is how is this callback setup. The ContentProvider exposes simple methods, query, insert, update, delete which don't seem easy to adapt to a callback interface. It could be implemented by a Cursor which is designed to block, but that could be problematic as you don't' want to block your UI Thread. I'd appreciate if anyone could make this clearer to me, or show me some code. I'm hoping the Twitter app will be open sourced soon which apparently uses this architecture.

I have added my hotmail account under the mail app standard on the sonyericsson x10, and the mail is comming through, but when I delete it on the web or laptop it does not delete it on phone neither does it update that I have read the email. It does sync but emails stay on phone. Any body have a fix or answer for me?
Also I have several folders in my hotmail account, the phone only displays Inbox, drafts, outbox, sent, trash. How do I get the rest of the folders on the phone?
So after using google maps to navigate somewhere today, the small icon on top of the phone saying that the gps is active will not go away or turn off. i don't have any crazy apps and i even tried using task killer to stop maps and also the force close on it from settings not sure what to do to make this go away. hopefully it's not messing with the battery life. does anyone else have this issue or know more about it?
