When i send a text out at say 8pm then it shows i sent a text at 8pm. Then if i recieve a text at 8:05pm it will say 9:35am. Not exactlly that time span but you know what i mean. I've tried to fix this but can't seem to figure out why? I got my phone last week and it's been doing this since day one.

Also, every time I receive and incoming text my phone also vibrates. I've looked under notifications and can't find any way to change this. I'm about to pay the restocking fee and get a new phone.

Does the small analog clock (#2 in the HTC clock widgets) still have issues with it showing the wrong time? Or is it just my phone? It shows the right location, but the time is 6 hours off
View 10 Replies View RelatedMy clock widgets have all shown the correct time and place since I received my Hero. On Saturday, all of a sudden the clock is off by 5 hours but showing the correct location. I restarted my phone and the correct time would show up, but as soon as the phone sleeps and I wake it up, the clock is off by 5 hours again!!! I checked the settings for the clock and it is set to the network time and gps for current location. I had to download a clock widget off the market because I could not figure it out. Anyone?

View 6 Replies View RelatedIve had the incredible since release day and within the last 2 weeks ive been having some texting issues. I will send a text to someone and a completely different person will recieve my text. It happened on my original Droid after a few months as well. Ive double checked everytime, and no im not accidentally choosing th wrong person. For instance if i send a text to Jenn (it has her name, her picture and number) but after being sent ill long press the message and it shows someone elses number. Verizon is not being very helpful and its starting to get annoying. Has anyone had this issue as well?

I look through the text history and it appears it was sent to the correct person. Now i am scared to text anyone knowing that it could be sent to the wrong people.
And sometimes when i try to reply to a text it says i need to add a recipient.
I am thinking there is something wrong with the texting on this phone. I got my replacement phone yesterday and the same thing happened.
So sometimes i receive a text and it will (for example) say its from matt when i know its actually from ian and if i just reply (to send back to ian) to it, it sends it to matt (who it thinks its from) not ian who actually sent it!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had my HTC Desire for 3 or 4 weeks now and I am determined to like it. I'm stuck with it for 24 months so I have to!! However, synching with my outlook contacts and calendar seems to be a very hit and miss affair. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I am running Vista 32 bit on a Vaio laptop with outlook 2003 (I hope to move to google apps soon but it feels like a big job to do it so i need enough time to work it all out). I downloaded HTC synch from the web but that didn't work so I used the version on my phone and that seemed to work better! I am using HTC Sync, version: 2.0.28. I always start HTC Synch first and then connect the phone. i select the synch option on the phone, but it usually fails to connect at that point. If I then a wait a little, and if I am lucky, it seems to connect itself and the Application installer icon pops up on the HTC Synch screen. then i can try again to synch. And sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. This is a lot of messing about - i wish it would just work - is there anything i can do? Also, when i receive texts from kid's school or my bank, the phone seems to assign random names from my contacts list. How weird is that? Any ideas for a cure? I have also found that it can be extremely slow to load videos on youtube. at the weekend i was with someone who had a iphone on the same network in the same place and they had no problem. Grrrrr!! often when it fianlly gets the video and starts to play it it stops halfway through - data is obviously not coming through quickly enough. Is there anything i can do to help this. Finally I am very disappointed that it can't make phone calls as well as my old Nokia 6230. same place, same network, perfect on the old phone, dropping out and bad reception on the HTC. The old phone worked fine in the local supermarket, The HTC simply says NO NETWORK. Have i got a bad phone or is this typical?

The issue I have is that my sister has our home number listed on her Facebook profile as a contact number. I have linked this profile to her contact.
I have also set up 'Home' as a person on the phone. But when the home number calls me, it shows it as being my sister calling rather than home.
Is there anyway to remove the home number from my sister's contact details without de-syncing her Facebook profile?

I have disabled the messenger and placed it in the drawer. I downloaded handcent and ringo lite. I would like to have a general ring tone for incoming texts. However, fire department and my wife I would like to assign seperate notification tones. In addition I would like to download ringtones other than the standard ones on the phone. I see them in the phone ringer section but not in messaging. How do I get them in there. I am new to this so I need detailed instruction.

The one displayed in the widget with the weather is displaying the correct time but the one in the top right corner is showing as being 1 hour behind. I have tried using manual and auto settings for the time but all this does is change the time in the widget.
Probably something really simple but cannot figure out how to get them displaying the same.

i think this is due to the timestamp on the 3rd parties phone being a minute or so out.
I just did a search for this and came up with nothing. My clock is displaying Pacific time, normally this wouldn't be an issue but I'm on the east coast. Does any one else have this issue? Is there a setting I'm missing? When I click on the clock it brings me to World Clock. The Current time is three hours behind, the Home time and New York time are both correct.

The time stamp for received messages when using Handcent, is off by 4 hours. I've tried changing the "set time stamp offset" to -4 hours but it did not help.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSince updating to 4.3 both my and my girlfriend's Nexus 4 clock keeps jumping back 8 hours. Then corrects itself. Then goes wrong again, a few times per hour.
We bought the phones in the UK where there is an 8 hour time difference.
When we look at clock it says UK time is actually Los Angeles and Los Angeles is UK. It swaps them, which makes no sense.
Turning auto time zone off makes no difference, it's getting it from AT&T directly.
