Does the small analog clock (#2 in the HTC clock widgets) still have issues with it showing the wrong time? Or is it just my phone? It shows the right location, but the time is 6 hours off

My clock widgets have all shown the correct time and place since I received my Hero. On Saturday, all of a sudden the clock is off by 5 hours but showing the correct location. I restarted my phone and the correct time would show up, but as soon as the phone sleeps and I wake it up, the clock is off by 5 hours again!!! I checked the settings for the clock and it is set to the network time and gps for current location. I had to download a clock widget off the market because I could not figure it out. Anyone?

i just got a new galaxy s yesterday so far i've found it really useful.but today i realized that when i get text messages, the received time is almost 4 hour behind.when i send a text, it shows the right time but only when i receive it
View 2 Replies View RelatedI guess I'm one of the lucky ones that can get mms on my hero but when i download the incoming mms it shows up once then after i close it i can not view or find the picture again. Ive mounted the phone and looked in the download folder of sd card but nothing is there, and its certainly not in any of my albums. Is this yet another bug int he Hero's mms handling? a side question is there a way to adjust the snooze time on the built in alarm clock?

I decided to make a call to HTC (the number is on their page, if you go to Support and "Hotline" the number is there) to discuss a few of the hardware/software issues that I, as well as others on the board have been experiencing. First off, my wait time was about 3 minutes. Very short, so that was a good start. I spoke to a representative named Jonathan (a woman). The topics I asked about:
1. Why Gmail messages do not show up in the "People" application under the contact's card who sent the email.
2. Some questions that I had about managing memory and the best way to exit a program.
3. The clock widget displaying incorrect time, and the new issue that appeared with the clock today (possibly brought about by some DST error).
4. What happens when you "Clear Data" from the RAM using the "Manage Application" menu.
I began the conversation, which lasted about 40 minutes, asking about the Gmail issue (#1) as that was my biggest query, but added on the others as the conversation went on. She did not know exactly what I was talking about, as she hadn't heard that complaint before. Instead of just saying, "uhhhh, yea, I don't know what to say" or try to spout off some half-assed solution only to get me off the phone, she actually took the time to look in some of their documentation, and when coming up empty, grabbed a new phone, set it up and tried to replicate the issue. At no point in our conversation did she sound like she was saying stuff just to "get by" or end the call. She actually sounded as if she cared......
I just flew from Raleigh, NC (eastern) to Chicago (central). The clock on the phone has the correct time but the weather/clock widget that came with the dinc is still on eastern time. When i tap on the widget the screen it takes me to shows the correct time but when I go back to the homescreen it's back to eastern. Any idea what's going on here?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI need to create paused analog clock. Since I have never done any graphics/drawing before I am customizing Analogue widget defined in the core/java/android/widget.
The problem is when I create the class in my project following are the unresolved references: mContext com.android.internal.R mRight mLeft mTop mBottom
I know the most likely cause is com.android.internal is private and I need to use public but the problem I do not know what the public equivalent is. I have tried substituing it with android.R but that doesn't seem work either.
Is it anyway to put analog clock on front home screen?
View 11 Replies View RelatedWhen i send a text out at say 8pm then it shows i sent a text at 8pm. Then if i recieve a text at 8:05pm it will say 9:35am. Not exactlly that time span but you know what i mean. I've tried to fix this but can't seem to figure out why? I got my phone last week and it's been doing this since day one.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSince I installed (might just be a coincidence but I did update Maps via the market) 2.1, Google Maps takes so long to update when showing directions. For example I'll be in one street and have walked to another and it will still show me in the previous street after 30 seconds or so later. Also I noticed today when using it, that the arrow wouldn't move and just stays in one spot but the arrow does change direction though.
I could have sworn it wasn't like this before and I could just use it like a real gps unless I've overlooked something.
Also I get the "Current location temporarily unavailable" message all the time when searching my location unless I tick the Use Wireless Networks in the Location settings of the Hero. When I had 1.5, I didn't need to do this and just used GPS satellites.
What am I doing wrong here?
I've had this Motorola Droid for almost 3 weeks, and pretty good so far, with a few things I'd like to work around. First, when I put it into the dock/'multimedia' thing, I would like more options than where my weather comes from. It needs, nay, begs, for analog clock! If anyone knows a way or an app, please let me know.

(AnalogClock) On this clock, I want to paint a red background from the current-minute to the minute at which the activity ends. To clarify, if it is now 12:00 and the current activity ends at 12:15, the right-top quarter of the circle that makes out the analog clock is red. This has to be updated every minute, so that it is clear how much time is left for the current activity. (The red section gets smaller each minute). Also, (question 2) I want to use AnalogClock to display a small (stationary) clock with the time that the next activity starts. Can I set the time of the object so it displays a specific time?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'll be getting a new Eris in a couple of weeks and am very excited!I have a question that is kind of random, but I have always liked the very cool 'flip' animation on the analog clock in the Sense UI when the time changes.I was watching this vid that compares the three 'Hero' phones and I noticed that the only phone that showed an animation was the original Hero. The other two did not actually flip when the number changed.Can the flip animation be turned on and off, or does the Eris simply not have a clock animation for some reason?

I tried running through the steps to root it again (How to root your CDMA HTC HERO running Android 2.1 (Windows) | MacHackPC) but the superuser icon never came back. I'm not sure what to do, I even tried pressing the on button and the home to select flash from recovery and that didn't work either. any idea how i can get my phone re-rooted?
