When I get texts I get one copy of the text in sms format, which I want, but I still also get a copy via the standard text app. How can I make it such that I only get them via sms texting and not get the extra copy?

What I am looking is a software by which I can add specific numbers (my wife; my dad and my mom and my boss).. These four numbers I want to add to a list which will always ring even if my mobile is on silent mode.
I noticed that my Eris sent texts very quickly when I first upgraded to 2.1, and now not so much. I know it's because the texts are starting to really build up, so is there an app that will make the text messaging app only keep the last 20-50 messages?

It just fails and all of the messages just sit there in the 'undelivered messages' section. When I press 'retry sending all' it all just fails immediately, without even trying. I don't care if takes one hour, two hours, 12 hours, a whole day to send em all, just send them texts!

That is all working great, however, I would like for this SMS to not show up in the user's inbox. So ideally i would like to delete the SMS on the time of Interception.
