View 6 RepliesSo I remember that there was a problem with the Hero and the awake time. My Evo's awake time is 10:53:55 and the up time is 13:53:43. Does that sound right, shouldn't it be getting some sleep?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI received 2 txts- one from each of my kids and the receive time was like 6 hrs into the future of the actual time. not a big deal but then the next texts i received were all fine?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with the displayed times shown on the home screen. The one displayed in the widget with the weather is displaying the correct time but the one in the top right corner is showing as being 1 hour behind. I have tried using manual and auto settings for the time but all this does is change the time in the widget.
Probably something really simple but cannot figure out how to get them displaying the same.
I accidentally flashed the wrong recovery onto my LG Optimus V. The phone is stuck in a boot loop and I am unable to make a selection in recovery. How can I flash the correct version of clockwork mod without doing it through the phone?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen i send a text out at say 8pm then it shows i sent a text at 8pm. Then if i recieve a text at 8:05pm it will say 9:35am. Not exactlly that time span but you know what i mean. I've tried to fix this but can't seem to figure out why? I got my phone last week and it's been doing this since day one.

so.

i think this is due to the timestamp on the 3rd parties phone being a minute or so out.
I just did a search for this and came up with nothing. My clock is displaying Pacific time, normally this wouldn't be an issue but I'm on the east coast. Does any one else have this issue? Is there a setting I'm missing? When I click on the clock it brings me to World Clock. The Current time is three hours behind, the Home time and New York time are both correct.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAll the messages being logged in LogCat now have the wrong time. It is running about 35 minutes fast. Any idea why or more importantly.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI try to make a recovery, but i get stuck in the first step for the 50th time LOL!!
on the command prompt when i have to do the fast boot, and next, <waiting for device> there is no conection between the phone and the computer, and stays <waiting for device> forever!
what am i doing wrong?
When i first got this phone a few months ago i did something stupid. I flashed the wrong cwm recovery with rom manager even though its not supported on my phone. I keep trying to flash a different recovery using the terminal emulator, but to no Avail. Still cant boot into recovery.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Dreambook W7 and it looks like I've killed it.
That's what happened: I've tried to flash a new recovery, but did it in a wrong way, so now I can't turn the device on. In both variants (usual boot with "Power" button or boot in recovery mode) I just get an Android logo and nothing more.
Is it possible to somehow repair my tablet?
What was actually done wrong - I've used 'dd' command with 'of' set to "/dev/block/mmcblk0" with a wrong 'if' file.
The time on my phone is 15 minutes behind
Anyone else have this problem or know what I can do to fix it? (Besides manually setting the time...)
The time stamp for received messages when using Handcent, is off by 4 hours. I've tried changing the "set time stamp offset" to -4 hours but it did not help.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSince updating to 4.3 both my and my girlfriend's Nexus 4 clock keeps jumping back 8 hours. Then corrects itself. Then goes wrong again, a few times per hour.
We bought the phones in the UK where there is an 8 hour time difference.
When we look at clock it says UK time is actually Los Angeles and Los Angeles is UK. It swaps them, which makes no sense.
Turning auto time zone off makes no difference, it's getting it from AT&T directly.
In a WIP for create a CWM for Galaxy Music GT-S6010 I doing a wrong operation.
First at all I've dumped the recovery of my phone and used CWM builder online, but the recovery didn't work.
I have founded a recovery of another smartphone that I think has similar hardware, the GT-S5310. I have flashed the CWM recovery of this other phone and the result is:
1) The CWM work. It seems to work well.
2) The touch screen behavior is bad. Is incorrect and inverted. In some point when touch with one finger the result give two touch.
I think that the problem is software not hardware, because with bluetooth mouse and keyboard the phone work well.
I have already tried many times, in this order:
1) restore the original recovery;
2) flash the stock firmware;
3) flash the CWM, doing a clean cache, format /sysem, format /cache, clean dalvik cache;
But not solved.
Does the small analog clock (#2 in the HTC clock widgets) still have issues with it showing the wrong time? Or is it just my phone? It shows the right location, but the time is 6 hours off

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy clock widgets have all shown the correct time and place since I received my Hero. On Saturday, all of a sudden the clock is off by 5 hours but showing the correct location. I restarted my phone and the correct time would show up, but as soon as the phone sleeps and I wake it up, the clock is off by 5 hours again!!! I checked the settings for the clock and it is set to the network time and gps for current location. I had to download a clock widget off the market because I could not figure it out. Anyone?

View 2 Replies View Related I just got a Nexus 5 and spent the whole of the afternoon trying to migrate my photos and videos from my GNex to the 5. I managed to move everything over, but here is where things went wrong
The metadata displays the time of the file transfer, instead of the original time/date the photo was taken. I'm OCD and a stickler for getting my files in order, so having all my pics/vids in the Gallery app display in the wrong order is really bugging me.
Initially I used My Backup Pro to move the files over, then deleted everything and transferred them from GNex -> Macbook -> Nexus 5 via Android File Transfer. Files were transferred fine, but the time/date stamp is still wrong.
I have a facebook event in my device's calendar that is displaying the correct time on the main calendar, but showing the incorrect event time in two different calendar widgets I've tried, as well as the event list in the Facebook app.
To make matters more complicated, the facebook app is displaying a different incorrect time than the widgets.
I've removed the facebook event from my calendar, reinstalled the widgets, done a battery pull, resynced, and the problem persists.
I think the host changed the time of the event after I first synced it to my phone, but I'm not sure.
First time poster and long time reader. First off I got the Captivate today and love it. I had the Aria and took it back and got this today. I just have a couple of questions. I will list them so it doesn't get confusing.
1. I saw in a few reviews that the battery has standby time of over a month and is generally very good and is a big part of why I bought the phone. That being said, since a full charge at 2:00pm, I am currently (9:00pm) in the yellow on my battery with normal use (ie minimal web browsing, 4 phone calls all under 2 minutes, about 10 total texts and 3 downloaded apps, and just browsing the phones features all while having a task manager). Should I just charge it after a few days and see where I am at?
2. My house usually gives me a pretty good signal but for some reason, I only have 1-2 bars in most of the areas. However, I seem to still be able to do things such as make phone calls with no bars. As for the "death grip", I also have held the phone with a case on it and the signal diminished very quickly which concerns me. A steady 2-3 bars I would be fine with, but 1 bar is unacceptable.
3. Timestamps on text messages are wrong just like they were on the Aria. It is a minor thing but it bugs the hell out of me.
Overall the phone is awesome but I buy a phone for two reasons, number one it has to be a good phone (call quality and reception) and number two it must have an above average battery (7 hours with minimal usage concerns me). I hope I am just overreacting but these are issues I think should be talked about.
Right now my phone says 2.5 hours since unplugged, but I unplugged it at noon and it's currently 4pm. I never plugged it back in or reset it, so I'm a little confused.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was rooted and decided to unroot for giggles. After i did I went to root again and now I am getting this: "E: cant open/cache/recovery,command " When I reboot into recovery mode.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI took unrooted my phone today because I was going to excange it for a new one because of a loose headphone jack but it turns out it was my headphones. I used SMupdater and it went fine. now when I try ot root again I get a "can't open cache/recovery/command" error in recovery and it wont let me select any of the options by hitting the camera button. idk what to do
View 2 Replies View Relatednote before attempting any of this that rooting does void your warranty. I also am not reponsible for any damage that is done to your phone but am more than willing to help you solve a problem in IRC. See my signature on how to get on #ally IRC channel. I do not actually use the Clockwork Recovery (i use drellisdees).
Guide to flashing roms on the LG Ally with screenshots. First off. Make sure your phone is rooted. If your phone is not rooted see the following options.
Option 1a: Universal 1 click root. (easy way) Universal Androot Beta
1b: z4root 1 click root http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=833953
2: Original Root Method (harder way) How to "root" the LG Ally.........
I hit the top button. Flash Clockworkmod recovery or what ever it said. I then backed up my Current ROM. I then downloaded Cyanogen v6.0.0 cr2. It downloaded and rebooted my phone. But It went to a screen with a Triangle w/ exclamation and a phone under it. I then hit the up vol button and camera, and now I'm at the Android system recovery page and I don't know what to do next. These are my options reboot system now apply sdcard:update.zip wipe data/factory rest wipe cache partition wipe base band data. I did click to backup current ROM and wipe data and cache.
View 38 Replies View Relatedok, so I put the PB31IMG file on my sdcard, and the dinc_ota. I changed dinc_ota to update. (I did not name the file update.zip.zip) I powered down, I entered bootloader, and it loaded the PB31IMG and whatever. then I hit volume down and selected recovery. this brought me to clockwork recovery. I noticed the isntructions said to boot into STOCK recovery. well, I like a dummy ignored that and tried to apply the update.zip thru clockwork.
This is what I got:
CODE:.......................
So, is this because I tried doing it through clockwork recovery? is it because I didn't apply the first OTA update we got? what does that mean exactly anyways? is it saying I need to install the leaked froyo ROM, and then update the radio? How do I boot into stock recovery and not clockworks recovery? does this count as applying the update.zip once, meening if I do it again I'll brick my phone? should I sell this thing and get a samsung flip phone because I'm too stupid to own a Dinc?
First off let me say that I was wrong about this issue. Its not an issue with Easy root it is just something built into android. So I apologize to anyone I argued this subject with but specifically Patch. Its also not an issue with rom manager. This applys to users that after flashing a custom recovery they can boot into it once but the next time you try to boot into recovery it has reverted to stock.
This mostly happens to users of easy root or users that use my guide for rooting using Linux
So for the fix.
Download this file and place it in the root of your sd card.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7223192/install-recovery.sh
Download Terminal Emulator from the market. The one by the dev Jack Palevich.
Open it and type the following commands.
su
mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
dd if=/sdcard/install-recovery.sh of=/system/etc/install-recovery.sh
chmod 550 /system/etc/install-recovery.sh
sync
after that just flash the custom recovery of your choice and you should be good to go.
I tested this on my phone and another user tested it for me and it worked for both of us. If anyone has an issue let me know. This issue is so sporadic that its hard to have people test the fix.
