My search entries on the App Market are starting to mount. Anyone know how I delete some of my previous searches? These aren't causing any issues with the phone, I just wanted to tidy them up.

Android maintains search histories for the Google search widget, market, etc.
but you can't EDIT past searches.
You can't do variations of previous searches by changing or adding a word to the past search.
You can't correct a typo in a previous search..
The only option is to re-type the entire thing, while the phone displays the previous search with the wrong character, but not letting you fix it..
Personally, this is one of the most frustrating things about Android.
Google is all about searching, but they certainly got it wrong with Android's built-in search..
I feel dumb, but I can't work out how to edit the previous search entries to use them for new searches. Do I really have to type the same stuff over again just to add or remove a space, etc?

If you pull up a previous search in the quick search box, you have the option to select it. Once you select it, it will immediately begin searching but it will not give you the option to edit your previous search parameters? Any workarounds?

Now, there it sits in the history, with ONE letter bad, but you can only do the same, incorrect search again by tapping it.Am I missing something, or is it true that I have to enter the whole thing over again if I miss one letter. Same applies to variations on searches, such as "red truckload of elephants" and "blue truckload of elephants" No way to go back and just change red to blue.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got a BOGO with my wife for the Facinate. I switch from a fully rooted/ROMed Incredible. On both our phones, the Market loads and searches VERY slow on WiFi and 3G. My Incrediable loads/searches almost instantly while the Fasinate takes...3, 4, 5,..., 10secs at times. Downloads are slow too.

how would I go about 'disconnecting' the app from the Market? Deleting the market link as if it were side-loaded?

Woke up with update message, ran update. Phone completely wiped out of ALL data. Was very upset Does anyone know how to find a list of all previously loaded market place apps? This is a total pain in the butt.
View 19 Replies View RelatedOk, there is literally no way that I'm the only one who has asked this question but I can't find the answer by searching. Here's my problem, after I flash my rom and restart my phone the market begins auto-downloading all the apps I previously had installed. I do not want this bc I use titanium backup for all of that.
I know I can avoid it temporarily if I skip entering my email address, but there has to be a setting for me to un check that will make it not try to auto download anything once I do add my account.
I'm sure you guys have all run into this by now, so can someone please tell me what setting will resolve this issue?
This question has been left w/o an answer before. My case: the new version has it's package name changed (domain name switch) so I obviously can't upgrade. Created a new app under the same name and uploaded the new version under it. Published it. Now, how do I delete the obsolete one? Should I file a support request somewhere?

Used the same method described in the youtube video to get this Fresh rom i keep hearing good reports about. Have tried creating appointments on all 3 and they sync fine, but if I delete an appointment on the Hero its not updating the goggle calendar.

But when I try to delete them the messages app crashes/freezes and even after killing the task it does not sort itself so I am forced to reboot.How the hell do I delete these!? Is there another way or do I need to wait for the next software update that I care about? The lag is the least of the issues, I believe this is also causing SMS Popup to crash (now uninstalled) but I really love this app.

Done a test and if I delete from the phone it goes from the server too. Dont want hundreds of emails building up for eternity on the handset.. Hotmail works fine, deletes from handset only as options allow.
