Is there a way that you can delete the list of searched items in the Market? I seem to remember a thread to this effect, but I couldn't find it...at least for the Eris.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have a question regarding a feature that just seemed to disappear from Handcent SMS.
Before, when I composed a message in the app or using quick compose (long press search button), there would be a drop down list of possible choices when I began typing in the "To:" field. For example, if I typed "k", it would show names beginning with "k". But now the feature is gone and it really sucks when I want to compose a text.
Does anyone else have this issue? Is it Handcent's problem or a software problem (v2.1 bug?), and does anyone know how to fix it?

View 45 Replies View RelatedI hate to compare it to apple, but let's face it, that's all it will ever be compared to.I have an itouch that I used religiously before I got my Eris a while back and as most of you probably know, the apple app store can keep you busy for hours. Every day there are new apps, but most importantly there are always a new list of their featured apps.My question is why for the last few months have we been starring at the same featured apps from android? These include Reality browser, personal assistant, hoccer, google goggles, wordpress, cnet scan and shop, ustream, usaa mobile, zagat, car locator, movies, handcent sms.I could be totally wrong, but it just feels like I've seen these apps all to many times. Is it my phone? Also I wish there was a way to view top-downloaded apps for the day or week.I feel like any new android apps don't have the ability to reach popularity because there is not system for most popular downloads. When you sort through, they're all the same...facebook, myspace, backgrounds, yellow pages etc. etc. etc.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an app that was installed via Android Market. And so, the Android Market knows when new versions are out and notifies me of an update. Titanium Backup calls this the 'Market Link', not sure what else it could be called.
how would I go about 'disconnecting' the app from the Market? Deleting the market link as if it were side-loaded?
Yes, I know this means no more updates for the app etc. Which is actually what I'm after.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem with my emails in the native Eris email app deleting after a few days. I have tried every setting that I can think of to get this to stop but no luck. The Gmail app does not delte the messages like the nmative app does. I have the native app set up with my work email and I need to keep messages around until I delete them. Just to stress have no problems with Gmail deleting just the native app which I have set up exclusively to my work email.

Now when I open my gmail, I need to open each email individually in order to delete it. Is there a way to change this?

Android just doesn't want to delete them, I've heard that it can take 5+ minutes to delete message threads 500+, I'm screwed because one of my threads has over 2000! This phone should be storing older txt messages to the sdcard anyway, not sure why it wouldn't. Basically this thread was made to complain how crappy clearing out messages was.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had an edited png for the market icon in the vending apk but when I applied my edited png's to Ivans rom with the market fix it seems to have changed the icon back to the original market Icon. When I first loaded the rom it showed my edited png for the market icon but after my first reboot it seems to change the icon back to the original. I assume that the market is updating upon reboot so I pulled the vending apk off my phone and my edited png's are still there but its still showing the original market icon. Anybody else with an edited market icon notice this or any ideas of why its going back to original? I have tried this a couple times and it always updates after first reboot...

Using the stock Message Delete just results in a force close after a few minutes, and using the app called SMS Quick Delete results in nothing at all, even after running for almost half an hour. Is there an easier way to do this? Is it possible to connect to my computer via usb and browse to manually delete the messages?
