Sprint HTC Hero : Way To Use Different Scenes?
Jan 20, 2010So everyone loves Sense and we have a dedicated thread to showing our home screens. But no one seems to talk about Scenes. Does anyone actually use them? I know I tried for the first few weeks but no I hardly even remember that this a function?

Apr 10, 2010I just got my phone 2 weeks ago and only used one scene I checked that I had a social,play etc scenes with alot of widgets and stuff on the phone. I only use one my custom scene are these other scenes affecting battery life I just noticed these extra scenes and wondering if I should delete because I don't use them.

HTC Hero :: Contents Of Folders Disappearing When Changing Scenes
Sep 13, 2009Having downloaded so many apps, I tried to organise them by creating several folders onto one of the home screen and dragging installed apps into the appropriate folders (e.g. games into a games folder, social apps into a social folder, etc.). If I switch scenes (saving the current scene before doing so), and then switch back again the folders are where I left them, but the app shortcuts inside them have disappeared.
This only happens when I change scenes within TouchFLO. I don't get this problem if I change from TouchFLO to say aHome and then back again. Is anyone else experiencing this problem, or able to recreate the problem. I'm not sure if the problem is specific to my phone, or it is indeed a problem with TouchFLO.

Nov 5, 2009I broke off with a girl I have dated for some months and would like to delete all messages from her to get her out of my head and sight.
However, nothing happens when I press "menu" and then "delete thread".
I am suspecting this might have something to do with the length of the thread - it consists of nearly 1800 text messages so perhaps the phone just crashed due to the shear size.
I'd rather not want to delete one and one single SMS.

Nov 19, 2009Have a new HTC Hero, on T-Mobile in the UK. Have set it up ok, have a Mac at home, which syncs with goggle cal ok, which then syncs with Hero. Have tried creating appointments on all 3 and they sync fine, but if I delete an appointment on the Hero its not updating the goggle calendar.

Nov 17, 2009Currently I have over 2700 texts in one thread and as a result the messages app is seriously slow. But when I try to delete them the messages app crashes/freezes and even after killing the task it does not sort itself so I am forced to reboot.How the hell do I delete these!? Is there another way or do I need to wait for the next software update that I care about? The lag is the least of the issues, I believe this is also causing SMS Popup to crash (now uninstalled) but I really love this app.

Mar 31, 2010Got yahoo working on my hero by putting android before imap.Only thing is there is no option to leave messages on the server. Done a test and if I delete from the phone it goes from the server too. Dont want hundreds of emails building up for eternity on the handset.. Hotmail works fine, deletes from handset only as options allow.

There does not seem to be any easy way to "Delete Old Events" like most phones have.It seems that ancient events continue to stay in memory unless you individually, one-by-one, go through and painstakingly delete each one.

Jan 20, 2010I got HTC Sync set-up to sync up my outlook calendar and contacts. ran it through, and other than truncating address fields to 25 chars, it all worked fine. But then I ran it again, to cehck it was all ok giong forwards (ie expecting no updates), and it:Deleted 32 of my 200 contacts (seemingly at random) from Outlook - left them on the phone. If I manually replace them oon Outlook then duplicates are created on the phone on next sync. Altered 3 recurring appointments (birthdays, 3 out of about 40 in my calendar) in Outlook so that instead of running from midnight to midnight (ie all day events) they run from 23:00 to 23:00, and hence show up over two days. Claimed to have updated a handful more contacts, though I can't see what may have changed. how to avoid? Number 2 is particularly odd. I'm guessing it's something to do with daylight saving, but why only 3 of 40? I've checked the settings against other non-affected appointments, and can see no difference!

Jul 19, 2010I was going through my Uninstaller App today to see what apps I really haven't been using much lately, because even though I have apps2sd, my internal memory is down to 23mb. Despite clearing the cache with cachmate. I have a bunch of apps, and know that they are all taking up cache, but daaaaamn, they take up a lot, lol. I have a 16gb, i think "kingston" sd card, and doubt it's a class 6 (because my wife got it at the sprint store), so I'm not comfortable moving all my dalvik cache onto it in case it screws something up, or makes it super slow. Sorry, got a little off topic. So I came across "com.htc 2.1-update1 10998kb", and wasn't sure if I would brick my phone by deleting it. It's obviously taking up some of my internal memory, and I'd like to have that room back lol. Does anyone know if I'll brick my phone if I delete it, or if it will be just fine if I delete it? I'm running 1.5, with Aloysius 2.1 LWP w/ OC. I refuse to upgrade to 2.1 and lose root. Unless someone has finally found a way to get root again after updating to 2.1?

Dec 7, 2009I was just entering my hotmail account details using the settings provided by a member here and it verifies nicely. When I enter the Mail app however it says that the "account for this widget has been deleted. Would you like to switch to another account?" When I select Yes it just leads me back to my account Inbox - the same account it claims was deleted This account was created using the Manual IMAP option.
Earlier today when I just put my details in normally, without selecting Manual, it was working okay - although the sync was a problem. At least, however, it had a notification icon on the App when I got a new email. But strangely after I wait a few minutes going back to that account inbox, it does show my emails. What can I do to stop this?
