Really annoying that while on a speaker call the screens times out then I have to hit the bottom at the top of the phone to turn on and end call. Should I just increase time to timeout - but then I will be killing batter?

So, when I go to my call logs, the times it shows for the calls is all wrong. As in, the last call showing in my call log shows Today at 8.52 pm. It is currently 12:15 PM.
I've got about 8 calls today, and they are all in the evening? The rest of the times on my phone are right, but the call log appears to be picking up some other time zone. Any thoughts?
For Android, I have a custom view which I fill up with primitive shapes in the onDraw() method. Coming from a Processing background, I expected the draw method to be called automatically 30 times per second, but its clear that that's not how android views work. So how should I go about calling this method 30 times per second?

Should I be worried? And do you think it was from updating the app it must of been a minute or so after I updated it
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have the screen timeout set to 1 min which works fine until I use the phone. When using the phone the screen times out (and locks) in about 5 seconds. This is a real pain when using voicemail etc and you need to interact with the keypad.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe voice call speaker on my Legend has become extremely unpleasant to use for calls. I can only describe the output as scratchy, buzzy or raspy. At first I had hoped it was a reception issue, but since the headset provided works with perfect clarity during a call, I am sure it must be a hardware issue. This issue started 2 months after I bought the phone.I contacted the nearest Bell store (Canadian mobile provider), and described the problem. I was told that 3 other similar cases with the HTC Legend had been received that the representative had heard of.Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? If you sent it away to be fixed, was the problem corrected with no further difficulties?I'm hesitant to pay for the shipping and repair costs if this is a persistent problem or hardware malfunction that is prone to happen time after time.

All of a sudden earlier this week, there is now a speaker button on the botton middle of my phone when it's in a call.It's a plain ugly white button and it sits UNDER the existing "Mute" "Bluetooth" and "Speaker" buttons that are currently there.

Anything over two notches from muted gives me a wierd vibrating noise when the other end is talking semi high pitched and consistently. It sounds almost robotic or like paper. I didnt know if this was just my phone, the majority, or all epics suffer from this problem.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phone started exhibiting some strange behavior today regarding sound and mic - neither are working (most of the time). If I am receiving a call, the phone will sound the ring, but when I answer it the speaker and mic go dead. If I hit the volume button while the phone is ringing, the speaker also goes dead. When I try to play music, no sound is produced (although if I plug in headphones I find that it is playing). The problem persists after multiple reboots and the Samsung "song" does play during boot. I'm not sure exactly when this started as it was working fine yesterday.

My phone need to do this:
Headphone mic for voice input.
BUT outputs call sound through phone speaker or sound box.

Version of the now low end phone HTC Aria.
It has a room choice of cyanogenmod 6 and 7.2 official, cm9,10 custom ported.
I don't know how many others are having this problem, but I hit the mute and/or speaker button frequently while on a call. Is there any way to remove these buttons from the dial screen? The proximity sensor "works" but not in the sense that it works on the iphone. The screen takes several seconds to dim and then can pop on at any time during the call allowing these buttons to pressed with my cheek. Many many times, the speaker has been activated in an environment where it should not be. Are there any apps to prevent this, or do I have a bad proximity sensor? Does the fact that I hold the phone on the left side of my face effect this at all? (most people hold on the right) The last time I tried other advice of pressing home button, the phone has opened a self service apps and was about to start programming itself by the time I got off the phone.

Frustrating & embarrassing!
Suspected bluetooth getting "pressed" when stuffed in my purse - bur can't replicate (make it happen on purpose.)
Have tried changing settings - no luck.
Something about putting Droid & bluetooth in purse makes 6 redials +++ happen.
Does the backlight while on a call using speaker or bluetooth shut off a lot faster now.

Best I can do is set the timeout for 30 minutes but I do not like that solution, often it takes me longer then that to get where im going and i dont want to have to switch the phone back on in the middle of driving. I have used HTC phones for years and the screen timeout always did not apply when using GPS. Also, is there any way to get the map to rotate to the direction of travel like tomtom and garmin do?
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhenever Titanium Backup runs one of the scheduled backups, the screen no longer times out. It will dim, but never go off. This isn't just while the operation is running, either. For instance, I had a scheduled operation this morning at 4 a.m. At 7 a.m., the operation was completed, but the screen was still on (albeit dimmed). The only way the screen time out starts working again is if I kill Titanium via System Panel. Is this normal?

The recording seems to stop as soon as the screen times out and the phone enters what I think is sleep mode. I've noticed that some apps(Tokasiki's Voice Recorder, for one) don't seem to have this problem on this phone(Motorola Atrix) and continue to record audio long after the screen has faded to black. I've tried using a partial wake lock but it doesn't seem to maintain the recording. Should I use AudioRecord instead of MediaRecorder? Voice Recorder seems to get by without using AudioRecord.

I am running BB 0.4 and have been for some time.I use the multimedia dock that launches the clock.apk. The proplem I have is when I hit the dim button for when I go to sleep after a while the screen times out. It lasts for quite some time so it makes me think that once the phone hits 100% it defaults to my 1 minute screen time out because the phone stays on for at least an hour (I know this because ill plug it in and watch some tv then go to bed)Back when I was on nexbeast or before froyo I used to hit the dim then eventually it would default to a clock that would kind of bounce around the screen.I dont want to go back to nexbeast but surprisingly enough this is making me angry. I want to be able to use the clock for my room and the alarm clock but I also want to be able to dim the screen so I can sleep.
