Till yesterday my phone was working well. But today i am not able hear any calls. I am receiving calls but not able to hear & same thing in other side. Even i am not able to hear the ringtone while dialing. Is there any problem with mike or settings. Also speaker in menu is not working while call.Had I uninstalled some root file. My firmware version is XXJB2.

My phone started exhibiting some strange behavior today regarding sound and mic - neither are working (most of the time). If I am receiving a call, the phone will sound the ring, but when I answer it the speaker and mic go dead. If I hit the volume button while the phone is ringing, the speaker also goes dead. When I try to play music, no sound is produced (although if I plug in headphones I find that it is playing). The problem persists after multiple reboots and the Samsung "song" does play during boot. I'm not sure exactly when this started as it was working fine yesterday.

After listening I've plugged headset out and now while I call to somebody I see there is a call on the device screen, but either me, either person whom I am calling to, doesn't hear the other person. While I plug headset again I can hear everything (on the headset), after another plug out problem still exist.

a) Speaker doesn't work in call (very weak). works well in ringtones etc.
b) Scrolling contacts by letter doesn't work.
Other than that this is a leap forward, especially with the overclock options!
Both bugs, as well as others, fixed in 1.6.3.1 update!
I have install galaxo 1.6.3.4 and it was great,but when i went to sleep I turn on music on headset and listening to music,but my galaxy just freeze and I have to pull battery out...Today I turn on music and speaker doesnt work,not call speaker nothing! View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone else get bad quality at medium to higher volumes through normal calls (not speakerphone). Anything over two notches from muted gives me a wierd vibrating noise when the other end is talking semi high pitched and consistently. It sounds almost robotic or like paper. I didnt know if this was just my phone, the majority, or all epics suffer from this problem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't know how many others are having this problem, but I hit the mute and/or speaker button frequently while on a call. Is there any way to remove these buttons from the dial screen? The proximity sensor "works" but not in the sense that it works on the iphone. The screen takes several seconds to dim and then can pop on at any time during the call allowing these buttons to pressed with my cheek. Many many times, the speaker has been activated in an environment where it should not be. Are there any apps to prevent this, or do I have a bad proximity sensor? Does the fact that I hold the phone on the left side of my face effect this at all? (most people hold on the right) The last time I tried other advice of pressing home button, the phone has opened a self service apps and was about to start programming itself by the time I got off the phone.

I dried it and everything was working fine. 3 days ago, my speaker stopped working. I reflashed my firmware and it worked for about 5 seconds and then it made cracking sound and would not work. I noticed that, if i suck air from the speaker with my mouth(sometimes i can just put my mouth over it) it would work for 5-30 seconds. But as soon as i remove my mouth it stops working.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have just received my second Galaxy handset as replacement from O2 after returning the first with what appeared to be some sort of hardware fault that caused calls to be rejected before pickup quite often just at the moment of touching the phone! I was quite happy with O2 and the way they dealt with the situation and couldn't wait for the new unit but sadly it has arrived with the very same issues as the last one and O2 are again confident that its a hardware fault and now want me to choose some other phone!

View 19 Replies View RelatedI got a brand new, unlocked Samsung Galaxy about a week and a half ago. I had two immediate problems with the phone:
1. No Market
2. 3G didn't seem to be working
I fixed the lack of Market problem by upgrading to the H7 firmware. I was hoping this would also fix the 2nd problem, but it hasn't. I've also tried getting a new SIM card from AT&T, and this hasn't seemed to work either.
Obviously I may end up having to call Samsung USA at some point and request a fix, but not only might that mean I have to live without the phone for a long time, I have no idea if Samsung USA will even want to help me since I bought it 3rd-party unlocked and it isn't even officially in the states yet.
So if anyone has some ideas, that'd be appreciated. (And yes, the "Use only 2g networks" setting is unchecked)
Lately I've started noticing that pushing the End call button while the phone is in sleep or idle mode wakes the phone up like the unlock button does. Has it always done this? I can't remember being aware of this feature last year when I got the phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got my samsung galaxy (and love it), but when i make/receive calls, i can barely hear the person on the other end. i have my call volume set to the highest (5), but it's still just too difficult to hear. has anyone else had a problem like this, or does it sound like a defect? maybe there's an app that can fix this? i bought my phone on ebay, so i have two more days to report any issues defects with my phone to be able to return it.

I didn't notice this before, but today while actually using this thing as a phone, the sound of the person at the other end would completely cut off if I said anything. It was exactly like using a speakerphone or a walkie talkie. Is this a bug with Galaxo or has my Galaxy always done this and I have failed to notice ?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've had my phone for a while now but a few days ago some of the physical buttons stopped working. I'm not sure why but the home, call pick up, and camera buttons now no longer function. I'd have assumed this was a physical fault immediately, however when the screen is darkened (power save?) if I press any of the "failed" buttons then it will light up again! I'd be interested in knowing whether there are any diagnostic tools available for this also. Failing anything else I'll be phoning O2 to get phone replaced! I've updated to II4 via the NPS update and they are still broken.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIt worked before and now stop, Asking the phone to do data sync to gmail emails, turn the sync sign on the status bar. and then the this sign hang there forever and the emails are not sync. I try with 2 kind of wifi + 3gp and nothing, my phone don't want to sync my emails. The strange thing is, when i ask the phone to sync my calender + contacts it's working ok. I tested it and it works - i can run opengl games fluently on my samsung galaxy now.
For those of you who can't read German: you can get opengl hardware acceleration working on the samsung galaxy on II5 and probably any other version by copying the libhgl.so from a htc G1 device.
Unfortunately the only way to legally do this is probably by owning a HTC device, but there are some HTC system/recovery images available for download, from the HTC website. Be sure to download the OTA image as it contains the files directly and you can just copy the libhgl.so file directly.
Root your phone, remount the /system filesystem as read/write, then copy the HTC libhgl.so to /system/lib/libhgl.so . Reboot phone.
Now you'll have openGL hardware acceleration!
I installed Fring on my Galaxy and it did some strange tricks , now my phone is in a state in wich it is completely muted ( no sounds, cannot call and cannot hear) and have to use a headset to use it.
I'm sure it is Fring, because as soon I make a fring call test it works again and I can make and receive calls without headset ( no alerts nor loudspeaker though)
I will have to reset it to factory settings, but I have a series of doubts:
- Contacts: I have contacts from my sim card, some I added and some that come from Facebook/Gmail, now, I checked on the contacts and everything is there, which, I suppose, means that first time I rtestart a sync they'll be back, right?
- Internal data: Photos and MP3 are safe in the SD card, what else do I have to backup?
- Market apps: The market profile will allow me to redownload the apps that I had on the phone or is the profile locally stored? if so, were so that I can Backup it?
- A special issue: here in Belgium we do not have the paying market yet so we can only download the free apps. When i was in Italy I used an italian SIM card and bought a couple of apps.
I suppose there is no way i an get them back is there?
Since I've installed MustyMod my GPS stopped working. The problem is, to be more precise, is that my Galaxy isn't seeing any satellites at all. When using an app like GPS Test, I can see that the GPS icon is flashing, and GPS status is on and everything seems to be in working order but no satellites are in view, even after hours of leaving the device in the open under clear sky.
At first I thought it was a bug in MustyMod, but then I installed Galaxo 1.6.2 and the problem remains. Any ideas? or did I somehow managed to brick my GPS?
Just installed Galaxo 1.6.3.4, everything works great, except that gprs/edge capabilities seem to be switched off? They used to work before the root. I can use wifi, but cannot get any data traffic outside wifi areas.

I grabbed a theme from this site (which has a GREAT tutorial by the way), but whenever i try to install one, my phone will not boot following the update. I get a similar thing to if you have not restored GAPPS where the screen will just sit on the boot screen but go no further. I tried restoring GAPPS to see if that was somehow the issue, but not luck.

View 7 Replies View Relatedfirst of all let me just say that beta2 is superb i just have one problem with it whenever i'm in a call (reciving or dialing) the screen goes blank and i cant wake up the phone not the end call button and not the open (side) button the only ways i can wake it up is by getting another call or rebooting
any way to work around it? i have tryed several screen on pogs from the market but no luck there without it i would use it everyday, its much much better then galaxo.
