My wife and I recently got the DROID and so far really like the phone and all that it can do. My wife has been having some problems where she would hold the phone to her ear with her shoulder and she will accidentally mute her call, or some times put the call on speaker phone. Has anyone else experienced this issue? As hard as i have tried, i am unable to duplicate her issue with her phone or mine...

When I use the speaker function on calls, the other callers cannot hear me clearly.I tested it myself with another phone, and I barely hear anything from the other phone.So there is either something wrong with my speaker/mic or the phone?Anybody else having this trouble? Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

All of a sudden earlier this week, there is now a speaker button on the botton middle of my phone when it's in a call.It's a plain ugly white button and it sits UNDER the existing "Mute" "Bluetooth" and "Speaker" buttons that are currently there.

Anything over two notches from muted gives me a wierd vibrating noise when the other end is talking semi high pitched and consistently. It sounds almost robotic or like paper. I didnt know if this was just my phone, the majority, or all epics suffer from this problem.

My phone need to do this:
Headphone mic for voice input.

I really want those characters people use on Facebook: hearts, smiley face, sun, etc. My best friend has a BB and says I can gwt them if i have auto text. I've Google the info and it there was one page that said to get the smart keyboard pro app. I have no idea in how to use it or get those cute little symbols. Please, anyine, HELP!!

Anyway, I have noticed that sometimes the audio from a call comes through the earpiece very low volume. Also when using the speakerphone feature (because it's hard to hear through the earpiece) I found that the caller on the other line can't hear me unless I yell into the phone! For a phone with 3 mics I'm not happy with these issues.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy wife has a Droid2 and when she uses the speaker phone function, things sound fine on her end, but for the caller on the other end, there is an unbearably loud noise of them speaking. For instance, when I call her and she has me on speaker, I can hear myself speaking super loud coming out of her phone. I can't even concentrate to get my sentence out. Has anyone else had this problem or heard of it? She is using a hard snap on case from Verizon as well, not sure if it could be the sound bouncing of that or something?
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo heres a random problem that started happening recently I used to be able to reboot my phone and it would work fine again, now I'm SOL. So my mic doesn't work when I make/recieve calls unless I turn on speakerphone. No one can hear me unless its in speaker mode. If I do a voice search, voice record, etc, nothing happens. The only way I can talk on my phone is if I'm on speaker phone. I've rebooted, tried inserting headphones into the headset jack and removing, etc. I guess my final step is to factory reset and see if that fixes it. Are there any known solutions? I did NOT change any configuration. Oh, and I should throw out there, that once in a blue moon it DOES work on regular phone. This is totally random.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI don't remember my DroidX always doing this, but recently after I hang-up from a call it shows the "Call Time XX:XX" in the center of the screen and I can't do anything until it goes away, which is generally 5-8 seconds. Hitting Home, Back, etc does nothing and tapping on the screen or the message also does nothing.Is this a setting I can disable? I can look at the recent calls to get the length of call if I need to see it, so I don't need the dramatic pause to give me this info.

At first I had hoped it was a reception issue, but since the headset provided works with perfect clarity during a call, I am sure it must be a hardware issue. This issue started 2 months after I bought the phone.I contacted the nearest Bell store (Canadian mobile provider), and described the problem. I was told that 3 other similar cases with the HTC Legend had been received that the representative had heard of.Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? If I am receiving a call, the phone will sound the ring, but when I answer it the speaker and mic go dead. If I hit the volume button while the phone is ringing, the speaker also goes dead. When I try to play music, no sound is produced (although if I plug in headphones I find that it is playing). The problem persists after multiple reboots and the Samsung "song" does play during boot. I'm not sure exactly when this started as it was working fine yesterday.
