HTC EVO 4G :: Way To Return Phone To ANY Sprint Store?

I had to drive an hour away to pick up my evo because everywhere within a reasonable distance was sold out, but i finaly caved in. I have barely a light leak under my home buton (somewhat thankful that this is my only problem haha) but i like things being perfect and i want to start exchanging evos until my standards are met. But i would like to know if i have to drive an hour or if i can drive 3 mins to the one down the block.

I did some searching in the forums and could not find an answer to this. I realize it's not a major problem but it is something that is driving me nuts. This is my first Android phone and I just got it, was previously using WinMo. In my email I was able to set it so that when I was viewing an email and decided to delete it while viewing it, I would go directly back to the inbox but my Hero automatically goes to the next email on all accounts. How or can I change this?
Also, is there a way to set email so that I have a choice of which email I want to open by a list (similar to an account picker?)

My friend works at a store, and today they decided on their Advocate.My friend said that the Advocate is always decided within about a month of its release!

Good day everyone. I am curious if anyone has herad when Sprint online is suppose to allow for Evo purchases again? I have a few coupons that will only work online and so I need to purchase it online. Any idea when it will be back in stock? I have been waiting for like a month since I missed the last time it came back in stock.Also, is there any way to have Sprint auto notify you when they return to stock on their website?

The shiny silver bezel around the mini USB charging port on my phone cracked and came off. No idea how it happened but about half of it is missing. I have insurance on the phone but i was wondering if this would warrant being able to return it?

figured i would post this up since i havent seen it here.. wonder if it is true..Visit Your Nearest Sprint Store To Downgrade HTC EVO 4G From Froyo To Eclair.There is some interesting discussion going on XDA Forums that caught our attention. According to XDA member, EyesLikeOlives, he/she recently had a discussion with some Sprint rep who declared HTC EVO 4G is downgrade able from Android 2.2 Froyo to Android 2.1 Eclair.Spoke with a customer service representative from Sprint while moving my replacement HTC EVO 4G from one phone line to the other and asked if he knew of a way to "down-grade" from Froyo to Eclair. His response was this:"I checked the information regarding the degradation of HTC Evo software, you can visit our Sprint store to change the software of your HTC EVO to 2.1 . We will change this for you without any cost."We really don't know if the above mentioned discussion/proposition holds true for rooted HTC EVO 4G owners running Android 2.2 Froyo. Some of the members at the Forum are apprehensive of the situation and claim it as You heard what you wanted to hear and this will never happen actually.

My sprint store has finally recieved the new batch of evos this week. I exchanged mine for one today (had some bad screen light leakage all over the phone and it was slowly growing). immediate thoughts:
Yhe back is noticeably grayer than my old one.
The camera has metal shavings (correct term?) and isnt as "polished" and smoothed as the old one. But it really isnt bad..actually feels rugged and more secure ^^.
Screen colors seem..more realistic?..i believe it is an epson now.
Sensitivity seems just a tad bit better...tested it on my old Evo this morning and it was definately slower.
The bottom and sides seem a bit more sealed than before..although not as much as I'd hope for but i guess i have to give it a week to see if the screen starts separating like last time.
And it is hardware version 3. my old one was 2
So...has anyone else gotten a replacement Evo? and if so, notice anything different?..feedback would be great. oh and I'll get back on the battery and if it's different at all (charging right now).

So I bough a couple games from the Sprint store (online) a couple years ago, including Bejewled, Deer Hunter and Tetris. I have changed phones a couple times since then, and was able to redownload them free of charge because it kept records on my account of them. Now I have my Evo and cannot figure out how to get back to the Sprint store site, so I cant get these games I have already paid for. Any ideas?

Right now, I am running 2.05.00.06.11 baseband radio with SkyRaider 2.5.2 HTC Sense. I am looking to use the unRevoked forever to allow my phone to have S-OFF and permit me to update the baseband radio to 2.15.00.07.28. My question is, should I happen to need to take my phone in for repair, will it be tough to go back to factory?As some of you may know, the good folks that designed unRevoked now have an S-ON tool that will allow you to turn S-ON. I know that I could do that, put my original setup back one (2.1update1) and remove root. But what about that radio baseband?

So I signed up for verizon last week after deciding to leave att and picked up a droid. I already had heard of this phone and decided I would at least use the regular droid in the interim. Thankfully I picked up the droid on the 16th, so the droid x release day is within the 30 day window. Can I just go in on the 15th and exchange the droid for the droid x? I know the pre order situation is unknown, but if reorders are available can I pre order even though I haven't returned the droid yet?

I woke up this morning to find a line of dead pixels across the bottom of my screen, right through the phone, drawer & contacts icons. Below the line everything was all flashy & glitch. I did a soft reset, battery pull and started it back up with the same results. I then did a hard factory reset with the same results. The phone was purchased from a Wal-mart that was 40 miles away and of course they did not have a replacement. The next closest one was 33 miles from there. So to avoid going without a phone, I made the drive. I was reading that they have made this problem public now, but they say it is a very low percentage. Just wanted to share.

Obviously a noob, I have looked through the threads, and it appears you can restore a rooted phone to an un-rooted phone?
My question is, if I root my EVO and then have some sort of hardware issue that would possibly require a replacement or repair of the device by Sprint, can I restore it to it's pre-rooted condition such that Sprint or HTC cannot detect that it was rooted? Or, if I root it, should I just drop the repair insurance for it, because I am basically jumping off the insurance cliff when I root it?

I got a Droid w/ Verizon December 28th 2009, and have 30 days to take it back. Should I take it back and wait for Verizon to come out with the Nexus One? I know for sure I want to use Verizon: We are in a semi-rural area, and Verizon is the only carrier that has 3g. I guess Verizon will be offering the phone SOMETIME in the spring. If I took it back, I'd have to go back to my old att phone and wait till then. One of the most important features of a phone for me is having a REALLY GOOD CAMERA built in, so I can take decent photos at any time without having to wag another box around I've read that the Droid will eventually (Jan 22?) be getting Android 2.1. DOES ANYONE KNOW if Android 2.1 Will fix the problems with the Droid's camera being a P.O.S? If Verizon would do some kind of a deal where I could keep the droid til the Nexus 1 is available with them I would, or even return the phone and use my current old unlocked phone on their network, and wait if they would give me an approx date.

I bought the Eris from VZW on Nov 6 and returned it on Nov 8. If I buy the Droid from Best Buy today and don't like it either, can I return it to Best Buy without a restocking fee? I'm close to my 30 days trial being up and I will be out of town when it actually is, so I needed to return the phone early. I just can't live without a working GPS function on a SmartPhone. I travel and love how smartphones allow to me to schlep on less thing (GPS).
Anyway, I had ordered the Ebay Hongkong 2 batteries & charger. Since I have no use for them I'm going to give them away. They are $10 new so by the time I list them and have them sold on ebay its just not worth the hassle.
The first person with over 30 posts who responds to this thread will get them free of charge. I'm going to send them to you on the honor system. After you get them, please compensate me for the postage. Lower 48 USA only please.
I hope this isn't violating any forum rules, but since I'm giving these away, not selling them I should be ok.
