I am having some problems with my phone (LG Ally) and am considering returning it before my one month trial is up. Should I remove my apps prior to returning? I'm specifically concerned about PDAnet since Verizon prohibits tethering. Advice?

U mainly wanted to root to remove the unwanted apps preinstalled on my phone because I was tired of running out of space. I rooted successfully via Odin. downloaded root installer and removed the unwanted apps. Then I started playing around with other apps. But now when I try to use any of them I get "app was denied super user permission" and telling me I need to be rooted. I tried factory reset but that didn't work. In fact, I now can't even use app uninstaller to remove those apps.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHey everyone, I'm sort of new to this but I figured I'd give it a shot to see if anyone might have an answer.
This happens fairly frequently actually, but I'll be in an app (any app - it's not really particular) and sometimes it'll just randomly shut me out of it and return to the home screen. As it does this, the home button blinks and vibrates incessantly until I hold down on it - at which point it brings up a sort of mini-list of six apps (the last six apps I've opened, I suppose). Once I clear out of that list, then the phone resumes working normally.
I initially thought it had something to do with the memory and running too many apps at once, so I downloaded Advance Task Killer and run that occasionally...only to find the same problem occurring, sometimes RIGHT after I kill all the apps.
Has anyone else had this happen? Can anyone help me out?
Is it possible to configure an android app so that if a user has opened your app, launched numerous activities, then returns to the home screen and relaunches your app again, instead of going to the main activity they will instead be taken to the activity highest on the stack (the most recent activity in your app)?

I am looking to use the unRevoked forever to allow my phone to have S-OFF and permit me to update the baseband radio to 2.15.00.07.28. My question is, should I happen to need to take my phone in for repair, will it be tough to go back to factory?As some of you may know, the good folks that designed unRevoked now have an S-ON tool that will allow you to turn S-ON. I already had heard of this phone and decided I would at least use the regular droid in the interim. Thankfully I picked up the droid on the 16th, so the droid x release day is within the 30 day window. Can I just go in on the 15th and exchange the droid for the droid x? I know the pre order situation is unknown, but if reorders are available can I pre order even though I haven't returned the droid yet?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI woke up this morning to find a line of dead pixels across the bottom of my screen, right through the phone, drawer & contacts icons. Below the line everything was all flashy & glitch. I did a soft reset, battery pull and started it back up with the same results. I then did a hard factory reset with the same results. The phone was purchased from a Wal-mart that was 40 miles away and of course they did not have a replacement. The next closest one was 33 miles from there. So to avoid going without a phone, I made the drive. I was reading that they have made this problem public now, but they say it is a very low percentage. Just wanted to share.
