Wish there was a way to remove an icon from the notification bar - pretty much everyone has a larger clock widget on the home screen - it's redundant. And don't need to be reminded we have an alarm set constantly.
There's not an app for that is there?

I am running launcherpro and I want to customize my dock icons which I had previously removed (minimalist here) so it would be blank. Now I want to use the dock again for some nice text icons I found but when I add them to the dock they do nothing when pressed. How do I re-designate the function for these custom icons?

However, the icons are still found in the app tray and clicking them generates a FC.Is there any way to get rid of the icons permanently? View 7 Replies View RelatedI've been having fun customizing the look of my phone and getting more and more out of it. Recently I've been making custom shortcuts as I like having different icons. What I don't like is that there's a label on the Icon. The icon pack I am currently using is Manups Simple Word. What happens is when I create a Shortcut to the market for example the Icon shows in text Market Stock and then beneath it the Label Market. I don't like that if read together it becomes Market Stock Market
Is there a way I can remove the labels from shortcuts? I am currently running Froyo with LauncherPro using folder organizer and I also have anycut. The solution must not involve rooting or using any paid apps as well I can't get paid apps here. I read here Is it possible to strip HTC Sense UI from the HTC Desire? that Helix has the option to remove labels from shortcuts. I'll rather not move to Helix and stay with launcherpro.
Finally rooted my 2.2 leaked X. After going through the phone and renaming apps I wanted removed, certain ones are still there. Block Buster, News/weather and Social networking. I've cleaned the cache with cache cleaner and even done a battery pull. No go. I've even tried renaming them back to stock(apk)then back to bak.

When I uninstall apps that I have in folders in Apex Launcher Pro, the icons for those apps are not being removed when i uninstall the apps. I uninstalled roughly 30-40 apps not too long ago and they are all still present in my app folders on my desktop. Is there a way to have Apex remove these icons when uninstalling apps? Currently I have to go and test icons to see if the apps are installed or uninstalled in order to test them, which can be quite annoying if you have a large number of apps.
I am running the latest Apex on a Verizon GS3 running Synergy ROM.
I can successfully customize folder icons on a removable Flash Disk using Desktop.ini file and a separate icon file. But I am unable to do the same thing on folders on the connected phone device that, for all I know, is similar to a removable device. The phone is a Samsung Droid Charge. When I copy the Desktop.ini and the folder containing the icon file from the pc to the memory card, nothing happens. The icons for the folders still have the same default appearance. Don't know how many people care to have custom icons but it is a nice thing to have when you are always trying to identify a few folders from many.

It looks fine on Nexus One, where the notification area is light gray and is almost invisible on HTC Desire (Sense UI - dark gray notification bar). Is there a way to overcome that? Right now it shows "2" but it has been that number for quite some time. You upload the framwork.apk to them and select the set of icons you want and all the colors and stuff and then they send you a new file that you flash in after you flash a ROM.
The website was something that really didnt make sense, and would never be able to figure it out, even through google search. I installed Win 7 today and didnt check my history before I did it.
