Nov 2, 2008I accidentally put two icons on the home screen that I don't need there. How do I remove them? I still want to remove the applications, just the shortcut icons.

Android :: Using Any App And Press Home Button Home Screen Blacks Out - 10 Sec Delay Get All Icons Back
Mar 30, 2010Whenever I am using any app and press the home button, the home screen blacks out for a few secs and it takes around 10 sec to get all the icons back and before I can start using my phone again. I am using a non rooted mytouch 3g.
This problem does not happen if I exit an app by pressing the back button. It becomes very annoying at times.

Dec 7, 2009When my application is uninstalled, the widget stays on the HOME screen and gives an error message "problem loading widget". How do I remove the widget when my application is uninstalled?Is there an attribute in the manifest that I am missing?I have tried asking on the Google Android groups, but they take so long to approve and then it get's lost with the 100's of other questions that are ask that get approved at the same time.I was sure that this would happen by default by the OS, but guess I was wrong.I am catching the "PACKAGE_ REMOVED" intent, and checking the "EXTRA_REPLACING" to make sure it's not a reinstall, but I don't know the actual code to use to actually remove the widget.

Oct 24, 2013For some reason I'm having problems deleting the widgets by dragging them into the bin. 9 times out of 10, the rubbish bin refuses to appear when I long press on a widget.
Is there another way - eg some settings menus somewhere or maybe a file that I can edit.

Motorola Droid : Home Screen After Removing Phone From Dock
Aug 17, 2010Running 2.2 from OTA when I take the phone out of a dock (Multimedia or car), the home screen has to rebuild it self. Meaning all the icons are slow to come back. think of it as on a windows machine Explorer dies and you have to do a start/run/explorer to get it back. Only difference i that this is automatic, just slow to get responsive again. Even swipping through the screen is slow at first. Is froyo, google's VISTA?

I am non rooted, running Sense UI. I already have "Folder Organizer" and I'm gonna see if Launcher Pro might offer anything.

Aug 14, 2010Tried to search but couldnt find anything on this.
Here is what is happening with my Droid. I have the official release on my Droid and when I leave and app (Like Dolphin or Handcent) my icons on my home screens take 5-10 secs to refresh and it can take another 5 seconds before my home screen will react to any touches.
Also when I unlock my phone it can take close to 20 secs sometimes (not all the time) for my icons to come in and it takes at least 5 secs no matter what to get my screen to react to any touches.
Is anyone else having this issue? What can I do? Now I almost wish I had never updgraded to 2.2.....
General :: Missing Icons On Home Screen?
Apr 18, 2012Those of you who have root access in there devices may have noticed icons missing on there home screens. If you are wondering why this is due to using Titanium Backup to move apps to the SD card. This only happens with certain apps, usually only the ones that can't be moved from the devices settings. To fix this simply move said apps back to internal storage and all will be well.
