For some reason two notification icons pop up for new mail in K-9. One shows how many new e-mails there are, but the other one I do not know what is for. Right now it shows "2" but it has been that number for quite some time. If someone could look at the screen shot and let me know what the icon all the way to the left is, and how I can prevent it from popping up it would be great.

I am displaying a notification icon which is dark gray. It looks fine on Nexus One, where the notification area is light gray and is almost invisible on HTC Desire (Sense UI - dark gray notification bar). Is there a way to overcome that? (The icon cannot be changed).The icon cannot be changed meaning" that I am using a custom set of icons which is a must for me.

I've been using the HTC app, but have noticed that after a day or so the notification sound stops playing when I receive an email. This happened for anyone else? Anyone tried both apps for any length of time and have strong opinions over which app is better? I saw a review that said the HTC app is better but the Google one doesn't seem too bad to me... I would like to hide or remove unwanted icons from the left side of the notification/status bar. I realize most programs give you this option, but some don't (such as the latest version of Norton security program). It just sits up there and hogs up real estate. Ideally, it would also be nice to be able to rearrange the icons, or make them larger if desired..

I was also experiencing not recieving texts. I have since done a reset which fixed the text issue (and sleep-for now), but not the voicemail. Should I take the phone back? I fear its anotjer software bug, not hardware. I love this phone, but I'm getting very annoyed that it can't even do what its suppose to.

I am trying to find the result of email sending, so as to confirm if my mail was sent or was discarded by the user. I am receiving null for Intent data.
i.e. data =null
parameter in onActivityResult(int req, int res, Intent data), res is always 0.
ie. res = 0;
I'm used to my BB which changes the gmail icon to one with an asterisk when i have new emails on gmail. the droid (android) does not. there's a pop up in the notifier bar but after that disappears there's not way to tell quickly if there's new mail received. is there anything i'm missing or an app that can notify me on the home screen that there's new email in my gmail inbox?

You upload the framwork.apk to them and select the set of icons you want and all the colors and stuff and then they send you a new file that you flash in after you flash a ROM.
The website was something that really didnt make sense, and would never be able to figure it out, even through google search. I installed Win 7 today and didnt check my history before I did it.
Does anybody know where I can get different 3g and gps icons for my notification bar. I found some others over at droid pirate but still looking for more ideas.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to disable the icons in the notification bar which appear while apps running in background without losing their full funktion?For example I have an "Anti-Virus Program", "LBE Security Master" an "Tasker" running in Background. There a little Icons shown in the Status-Bar and big notifications when I pull down the notification bar. Of course many apps have an option to disable this, but they tell me that they won't work right anymore if I would disable that. Since Jelly-Bean, I think, there is a way to disable notifications from every app but same thing here - apps seem not to work right anymore.
Is there a way to get rid of the icons or the big notifications without losing their funktion?
I have a MyTouch and a G1. I used to have an Iphone. On my Iphone, when I would get a new mail message it would light up a red number with how many emails there were on the MyTouch and G1 I get a little notification in the status bar at the top of the phone. My question is on the Iphone if the email notification was lit up with a number of emails that I had... and I went into my HOME computer (or any other computer) and read my email the next time the Iphone would go out to check for mail it would find zero there and turn off the notification. But on my MyTouch and G1, if it goes out to check email and there is none (because it was read elsewhere) it does NOT turn that notification off and it always looks like you have mail until you go into your email on the phone and check only to find none. Any way to fix this?

I want to use PA colors to change the status icon color so it is the same, but cannot find the exact hex code on the Android design guidelines page. When using the <4.3 launcher 80FFFFFF seemed to work but now I'm using the 4.4 launcher it doesn't look right (as shown by image).
