Android :: Sets Of Notification Icons Based On Notification Bar Color
Sep 27, 2010I am displaying a notification icon which is dark gray. It looks fine on Nexus One, where the notification area is light gray and is almost invisible on HTC Desire (Sense UI - dark gray notification bar). Is there a way to overcome that? (The icon cannot be changed).The icon cannot be changed meaning" that I am using a custom set of icons which is a must for me.

Sep 3, 2010For some reason two notification icons pop up for new mail in K-9. One shows how many new e-mails there are, but the other one I do not know what is for. Right now it shows "2" but it has been that number for quite some time. If someone could look at the screen shot and let me know what the icon all the way to the left is, and how I can prevent it from popping up it would be great.

I would like to hide or remove unwanted icons from the left side of the notification/status bar. I realize most programs give you this option, but some don't (such as the latest version of Norton security program). It just sits up there and hogs up real estate. Ideally, it would also be nice to be able to rearrange the icons, or make them larger if desired..

Nov 26, 2010I am looking for a website that changes your notification bar icons for you.
You upload the framwork.apk to them and select the set of icons you want and all the colors and stuff and then they send you a new file that you flash in after you flash a ROM.
The website was something that really didnt make sense, and would never be able to figure it out, even through google search. I installed Win 7 today and didnt check my history before I did it.

Dec 23, 2012Is there any way to disable the icons in the notification bar which appear while apps running in background without losing their full funktion?For example I have an "Anti-Virus Program", "LBE Security Master" an "Tasker" running in Background. There a little Icons shown in the Status-Bar and big notifications when I pull down the notification bar. Of course many apps have an option to disable this, but they tell me that they won't work right anymore if I would disable that. Since Jelly-Bean, I think, there is a way to disable notifications from every app but same thing here - apps seem not to work right anymore.
Is there a way to get rid of the icons or the big notifications without losing their funktion?

Jul 9, 2010I just rooted my phone and I know you can download icon packs and use better cut to specify what icon you want for a specific application, I was just wondering if there is an easier way to just load the icon pack and it will somehow replace the current default icons?
I also was wondering if there is any way to "theme" the notification bar. I would really like to make it transparent, but I don't want to use open home or ahome. I am sure there is an image sitting somewhere that I can change? I just rooted my phone a few hours ago.

I want to use PA colors to change the status icon color so it is the same, but cannot find the exact hex code on the Android design guidelines page. I've used Ninjamorph to black out the cell phone signal bars, but now there is a big space between my wifi icon and the battery icon (where the cell signal bars used to be). So is there a way that I can swap the positions of the cell phone bars and the wifi icon? Or maybe just a way to remove the cell phone bars from the notification bar?

Jun 18, 2010I couldn't find anything specific through a search, but whenever I get an email on gmail I get a white envelope notification. That is linked to the gmail folder. At the same time I get a black envelope with a white outline. I cannot figure out what email folder/widget/whatever it is linked to and I have to manually clear the notification.
Is there anyway to turn off the black envelope?
