I tried using home switcher to make calls but the same problem occurs. I can make a call, If I try to make a call after, the phone will lag on dialing then if it does connect I can't hear. If I receive a call it will answer but no sound. This happened after 2.1. I even did a factory reset and followed the upgrading instructions, everything else is fine except for this.

I have been happy with my Incredible up to this point. I recently placed a call to someone, and when the call became connected I heard a loud beeping sound constantly and the person on the other line couldn't hear me. I had installed an app, Task Killer, prior to this so I naturally thought this was affected. I shut down the app, placed the call again, and the same thing happened. I had to reset the battery on the phone to fix this problem.

If one uses Home Switcher does that accomplish the same thing, or is Sense still running in the background?
Ever since the 4.4.2 update, you can't make calls unless your connected to 4g? I've read on google forums saying that a lot of people can't make phone calls unless your in an area that has 4g. However, changing the band's to only 3g fixes this problem. My nexus 5 is doing this and I'm wondering if I'm the only one. Considering an RMA.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I have Launcher Pro, and I don't always want to use it but I want to every now and than, so I downloaded Home Switcher. I have Regular home set as default, and it shows it is. But when I hit home it always goes to Launcher Pro. I have checked under Applications to make sure it wasn't set as default or anything and it is not. So my question is anyone else having this problem? Or does anyone know how to fix this without just un installing Launcher Pro and reinstalling every time i want to use it?

I can make a call, but then if I try to make another, the phone will just go black. The other person says they can hear me, but I hear nothing. Is there a fix other than shutting off the phone after every call?
View 4 Replies View RelatedGoogle Voice runs flawlessly on my Droid. I recently purchased a Droid Eris for my wife, and while Google Voice SMS and inbound calling works fine, outbound calling does not. I notice that Google's "bridging number" used to connect me with the recipient on the Eris is different than the one used by my Droid. When dialing on my Droid, the call is routed through (518) 314-9466, while the problematic Eris is using (609) 987-0466. My wife's GV number is a (908) number which is probably why she is being routed through a (609) bridging number, both being South Jersey Area codes.
Does anyone think this is the problem? If so, is there a way to adjust which bridging number through which outbound calls are connnected. Has anyone else suffered this issue? We are really concerned as Google Voice integration was the primary reason for purchasing this phone. I thought to add that (i) I am using version 0.2.8 in all instances, (ii) the Eris has been updated with the recent OTA update from Verizon (though I didn't have a chance to use Google Voice beforehand to to determine if this is a post-update issue or not) and (iii) I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app from the market multiple times in hopes of rectifying this issue.
I used *228 and pressed 1 and did it again and pressed 2 neither worked and still cant make calls.
View 10 Replies View RelatedFirst off I want to say that I really like my new Eris but.... Coming from a BB there seems to be a problem that could make or break the deal. I frequently enter phone numbers as a note in outlook calendar (temporary contact thing), with the BB I could pull up the calendar and make a call from the number within, but that doesn't seem to be the case with the Eris, I've tried everything, does anybody have any suggestions.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have had my Eris since Jan. I am on my 3rd replacement and 2nd in 3 weeks. My first one VZW just kept making excuses and wanting to do factory resets and delete apps because in their words that was the problem. The tech guy on the phone told me that they could only replace it with another eris again so here I sit with another POS that continues to lock up. I have been unable to make calls 80% of the time. What a joke On average I have to remove my battery 3-4 times a day to get it to work.

The Eris on the other hand, I have none, it flips from no bars to X all day long. I can not receive calls nor can I make a call. Has anyone had problems with theirs? Or what might I be able to do ?

The problem is that I hear such noises in my headset. It appears as not normal, and also happens if I have the headset at the maximal distance from the mobile phone.

I decided to install Launcher Pro and Home Switcher last night. Since Launcher Pro's contact button didn't work, I decided to un-install LP. *In case you're wondering, each time I clicked on the Contacts icon/button of LP, I would get an error pop-up saying that it was unable to launch (something to this effect.) Anyway, after I un-installed the LP I decided to also un-install the HS - with using just having to use TW - I figured I don't need HS anymore. So I removed HS from my Applications, but I am STILL getting the pop-up window each time I go to my home screen! So annoying! How do I get this off my home screen? I am trying to avoid doing a Factory Reset, because I don't want to have to input all my contacts manually again! Google didn't sync all my contacts, so this would mean having to start all over on setting up my phone. Unless someone can suggest a contacts backup program to place on my PC?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI updated my Eris to 2.1 about a month ago, and it's been running fine up until about last week. Lately, the battery hasn't been lasting me more than 12 hours, and I've done everything I can to save battery life, plus the battery cover usually gets hot enough to cook some eggs on top of. The problems I've encountered lately is with making and receiving calls. When trying to call someone, it seems to take forever. I know my phone isn't the fastest Android, but it used to work fine. It takes a good 30 seconds just to type in a 10 digit number; the phone usually freezes a couple of times, its just generally laggy.
When I try to receive a call, the same basic thing happens. The phone freezes up while I am trying to slide the bar down on the lock screen, etc. Here's the main issue. After sifting through the freezing and lagging, and finally get to the call, I cannot hear anything, and they cannot hear me. The call is connected; I see the notification up top, and I have got the vibrate to tell me it's connected.
So, first, here's what happened. Did a factory reset of my phone. When it came back up and I went to activate it, no data connection, unable to make phone calls. After 2 hours on the phone with VZW tech support, I can make calls, but have no data connection. They are sending me a "new" one. The concensus of the VZW tech and myself, problem with my phone. 2 days later, my wife resets her phone because of memory usage issues (she had to much on it). Same exact thing happened to her. Being the fiesty woman that she is she is going to a VZW store today to raise holy hell and throughorly degrade the poor rep that she is going to talk to, to get some answers. My question to all my fine fellow Eris users, have you seen this before? If in our position, do we deserve a new phone, and not an eris? Will this happen with a replacement eris due to a fault in the 2.1 update?

It will randomly restart Text Notifications NEVER make sound no matter what i do. Home button does not work, neither does the search button.
I've tried rebooting, re flashing, downloading other things. Still to no avail. A little help please?
I got my nexus one a week ago, ive been trying to fiddle with it and found some cool things.. any ways well i wanted to add a ringtone and i did, but when it came to someone calling me i can barely hear it ring.. its a problem i had with the phone since the beginning , the speaker sucks big time.. has anyone found out how to make the damn thing louder..
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen i use Home Switcher to switch homes (htc Sense and Launcher Pro) when i go to the app and click use sense as default when i press the home key it still goes back to launcher pro..so when i use sense i need to try to not press home which is annoying! Also i have hand cent sms and i get a double notification. for some reason when i go to messages>menu>settings n go to unchecked received notifications i still for some reason get notifications from the stock. I even went to make sure its unchecked and it is!

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I had my Voyager, I could use my bluetooth earpiece to talk on the phone, and also get the audio from the Navigation to come through the earpiece. I was surprised tonight that when I was using my GPS on the Droid it didn't come through my earpiece which resulted in me turning my radio down significantly so I could hear the phone.
I also have a stereo bluetooth headphones that I already paired and see the icon on the screen, but when I play a video or some music, it doesn't come through the headphones. Its still coming out of the Droid's phone speakers. Its showing that it is connected in my notifications bar too.
I rooted and installed kaosfroyo and now cannot make or receive calls because my mic is not working. Call can be made but the person on the other end does not hear me.
A few other things are that my wifi and verizon data are not working. When I plug the usb I can't mount the SD card.
On the lock screen it says Sprint in the upper right.
