Sorry if this is a repeat, couldn't find an answer.
The store hooked up gmail, and I accidentally put my gmail info into the native mail program thinking it was gmail. Now I get two notifications, and have two programs checking mail. Can I just delete the native mail app, or will this cause problems? Any way to just turn it off/remove my gmail info from the application?

I want to add my gmail settings to the native mail app and use that for gmail instead of using the gmail app. I dont like how you cant attach a file other than a photo using the gmail app and I like the layout of the native mail app.If you add your gmail account to the native mail app can you still receive push email? I plan on disabling the sync settings for google in the main settings but that shouldn't affect an account added to the main mail app.

View 3 Replies View Relatedfor some reason i can't seem to set up my personal yahoo email account. i keep getting an error saying i'm not authenticated? i just logged in with this pc and didn't have any problems. i was trying to set it up using the mail widget google /gmail worked just fine with their widget are they trying to just force me to use gmail only anyone have any similar problems and/or tips to get it set up. i would like to move to one email account but you know how it is, you get on, you get another, people have the old address guess i could forward yahoo to gmail.

Calendar and all that does great and emails to regular inbox are fine It will once and then it seems to quit. One more thing is I wanted to try k-9 but when I do it does not act right at all. It has trouble sending messages and gets lots of errors when checking. Does anyone have a doc about setting up k-9 to sync with outlook web access?

1 - On my google calendar I am able to enter reoccuring items and they sync with my eris as they should. I also see all the various holidays on my google cal but these items do not sync to my eris. Is there a way to get the holidays to port over to my native eris calendar?
2 - My contacts has a place for defining a contact's birthday and anniversary. How can I get these user defined dates to populate to my eris calendar? Seems like this should be simple functionality no?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a brand new Desire HD. Up until 2 days ago, everything was working perfectly with my Outlook Exchange Account on the native Android Mail application. Running Android 2.2
Since then, there is something wrong with our Outlook certificate, and when I launch Outlook on my PC, I get a message that the name on the certificate is not valid. Ok, fine. So on the PC, I press "OK" and I am off and running.
On the Desire, I still get email, but if I try to SEND and email, it neither reaches the recipient, nor does the email end up in the "Sent" mail folder. When I go to "Accounts and Sync" and look at the Exchange account, I also see that i have a sync protocol error on Contacts syncing.
Now, I have installed Touchdown, and I CAN send email from here. Also, I have a friend who has an older Android phone that does not seem to be affected in a similar fashion connecting to the same exchange server.
Problem: The Touchdown app is kind of a pain from a user interface standpoint when you try to edit a contact. and it costs $20. And, I really prefer the native Mail widgets and stuff.
I am stuck using Touchdown at the moment so that I can send and receive emails, but I am hoping to find a workaround. Our IT people are working on the certificate problem, so maybe that will help. HOWEVER, I cannot afford to be without email every time there is a certificate problem.
There is no way to get different folders for the email is there? i.e. a junk folder or whatever else my hotmail has?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have both a gmail and an exchange email account and have the contacts from both nicely synched in the people app. HOWEVER, if I select a particular contact from the list and toogle along the bottom to look at the "mail" option, it only shows emails from them that came in to my exchange account. It never shows emails from any of my contacts that originated from my gmail account. All the other options work great for text messages and updates etc, so I am not quite sure how to resolve this so that I can see gmail emails too.
