May 13, 2013Every time I upload a pic, text, or email from my Droid Razr the pic is stretched horizontally. The pics look fine on my phone, but when I look at them on any other device it's as if the vertical dimensions are reduced by about 25% (or horizontally increased)
I've changed all the normal settings for the default camera and played with them all, nothing works. Only thing I can do is upload pics to my desktop and use an image editor to increase the vertical size about 25%, which is very tedious and frustrating.
HTC Incredible :: Inconsistent Delivery Of Texting/sharing Photos
May 22, 2010I am having inconsistent delivery of photos via text/mms.
I am using Handcent.
After the picture resizes and I click send I initially get a message in the notification bar telling me that it was Unable to Deliver - Retrying.
This happens EVERY time, however, in some cases the picture/mms seems to go through while other times it doesn't. I check the delivery reports and there is no confirmation that these mms messages either get delivered or not.
Has anyone experienced this and is there a solution? Using the settings, I've decreased the default picture size and I increased the allowable size of the file able to be delivered. This hasn't made a difference.
HTC Droid Eris :: Does Eris Native Mail App Support Push?
Nov 30, 2009I want to add my gmail settings to the native mail app and use that for gmail instead of using the gmail app. I dont like how you cant attach a file other than a photo using the gmail app and I like the layout of the native mail app.If you add your gmail account to the native mail app can you still receive push email? I plan on disabling the sync settings for google in the main settings but that shouldn't affect an account added to the main mail app.

Aug 14, 2013I have been having issues for about 6 months with my google+ photos not showing in my gallery on my GS3 (d2att) (SGH-I747). Typically, they will show up once you have logged into your respective Gmail account and selected sync photos in the settings. This was the case for me a while back, then they just went away.
I have tried CyanogenMod Nightlies, Stable builds, Paranoid Android, JellyBam versions 8.0 - 9.2 (The Albums showed up randomly in one version of JellyBam but I don't recall which one) and have had no success with any of them. I always make sure that I have the correct version of GAPPS installed with them and have done everything I can think to do: Factory wipe/reset, dalvik wipe, cache wipe, formatted system, data, cache, even the internal sd card with no luck.
I ended up flashing all the way back to stock unrooted via Odin, then rooted and reflashed new versions of CM, Paranoid and Jellybam. The albums show up in the stock ROM just fine but not on any of the other ROMs I've used.
I take WAY too many pics to keep them all on my memory card and phone. I like to dump them all into G+ albums and just access them that way if I need to see them. I bought the picasa app but I'm not a fan bc it's not fluid like the gallery app. How can I get these to come back in a custom ROM? I really can't handle stock ROMs at all.

Jan 12, 2010I have two gmail accounts. How do I choose which account I want to use when I am sharing a photo/video. It defaults to the 2nd account I added but would prefer to choose which gmail account sends the pic or at least be able to change it.

This was yesterday and the phone has been fine But about an hour ago 3G no longer connects and I cant do any text messages. Any idea what could be wrong. May 19, 2010Since I "accepted" the upgrade last sunday (the 16th), I've noticed whenever I send a text I get a quick vibration and a notice in the status bar that the message was sent successfully. Used to be I only got a notice if the message failed (like when I had a poor signal) and then I could re-send when my signal improved... I, personally, find this "message sent successfully" a bit annoying. I looked and looked in the settings, but can't seem to locate where to change this. Can someone help, or am I stuck with this? And, please, if you prefer this new way, let's just agree to disagree right off the bat. You may like it, but I just prefer the "old" way.

Jun 15, 2010Can anyone tell me how to edit my personal dictionary? My ERIS adds words (usually misspelled) to the dictionary every so often and I need to get in there and clean things up.I type a lot faster than the keyboard can accept keystrokes, so sometimes I notice a misspelled word back about 3-4 lines that I never typed and didn't intend to have in my sentence. It's frustrating but I'm sure there's a fix to it.Thanks to everyone who is providing such helpful information. I'm impressed with the knowledge that is shared and how willing everyone is to help each other out on this forum.

Dec 14, 2009I've only seen this mentioned once or twice but one thing that annoys me with the update is the character number that's displayed when typing a text. Why did they have to put a black box counter right in the messaging window when typing in portrait mode? After creating a message, that box covers part of the last word in the first line. And when flipping it to landscape the character box disappears!!?! I shouldn't have to turn the phone to read back what I just typed.The concept of displaying the amount of characters left is a welcome feature but the execution is really poor. I would think it would be obvious to place it in another area outside of the field that you're actually interacting with.

So why pay for a text plan when you already probably have data plan on your phone?Not sure how much unlimited texts is now but I have an old plan which is $10 dollars a month for unlimited Verizon to Verizon; with 500 texts out of network. So, if I cancel texts on my cell phone plan I can just use the "mail" application that comes with the phone. Use my gmail account and send out texts to numbers and tell my friends when sending me a text just type "username@gmail.com". This way I receive texts from other people through my e-mail and I can also reply back with an e-mail which would really be like a text. You can text from your computer and cell phone.Very useful encase you want to save money. I am thinking about canceling texts on my plan. Maybe you all already knew this. I knew I could send pictures to my phone years ago before I even had a smart phone but I just realized this again and thought about canceling my text plan. What do you guys think?

Apr 3, 2010Has anyone had issues when texting where the text doesn't show up. I use Handcent but even when i revert back to the stock app it still remains. It usually happens when i get 3-5 msgs in quick succession, but sometimes just happens right after i wake it from sleep. Any fixes?

May 23, 2013I have a group that I text to, a sports team, but two of my contacts in the group don't get my messages. They bounce back to me because they are sending to their land phones! Obviously there are multiple phone numbers for these contacts, and the first time this happened I went into the contacts to set the mobile number as default - but that makes no difference. Google Android still tries to send them to the landlines! My phone uses ICS.

The store hooked up gmail, and I accidentally put my gmail info into the native mail program thinking it was gmail. Now I get two notifications, and have two programs checking mail. Can I just delete the native mail app, or will this cause problems? Any way to just turn it off/remove my gmail info from the application?

Jun 23, 2010I got a Milestone at about Christmas time and have loved it, but now I have one slight issue with it. I can't send a text message, and whenever I attempt to send a message, it simply comes back saying "Message Not Sent". It is highly frustrating.I have been into the Phone Information, under Testing, and it says that my GSM Disconnects is inactive, and the fail is because No Error. Calendar and all that does great and emails to regular inbox are fine It will once and then it seems to quit. One more thing is I wanted to try k-9 but when I do it does not act right at all. Sep 29, 2010Does anyone else have problems with the screen scrolling without being touched? My eris will scroll all the way to the left and will stay there for a few seconds. The most annoying thing is when I am texting it will scroll to the beginning of the message and then freeze and will continue to force close until I turn the phone off then back on then it does the same thing. This is the 2nd Eris I have had and if I cant upgrade soon then Im down-grading back to my LG.

1 - On my google calendar I am able to enter reoccuring items and they sync with my eris as they should. I also see all the various holidays on my google cal but these items do not sync to my eris. Is there a way to get the holidays to port over to my native eris calendar?
2 - My contacts has a place for defining a contact's birthday and anniversary. How can I get these user defined dates to populate to my eris calendar? Seems like this should be simple functionality no?
