Updated the phone today to 2.1. I used to have yahoo mail working fine on the phone but it no longer works. Now it is telling me my username/password is incorrect. Anyone else had any problems since the update?

for some reason i can't seem to set up my personal yahoo email account. i keep getting an error saying i'm not authenticated? i just logged in with this pc and didn't have any problems. i was trying to set it up using the mail widget google /gmail worked just fine with their widget are they trying to just force me to use gmail only anyone have any similar problems and/or tips to get it set up. i would like to move to one email account but you know how it is, you get on, you get another, people have the old address guess i could forward yahoo to gmail.

View 20 Replies View RelatedI want to add my gmail settings to the native mail app and use that for gmail instead of using the gmail app. I dont like how you cant attach a file other than a photo using the gmail app and I like the layout of the native mail app.If you add your gmail account to the native mail app can you still receive push email? I plan on disabling the sync settings for google in the main settings but that shouldn't affect an account added to the main mail app.

What is important to me is my email.. I want to be able to sync my yahoo account with yahoo mail and the mail on the phone so if i send an email on my phone it will appear in the sent folder on my yahoo mail on the computer and vice versa if you follow... With Android being google will i be able to do this from the phones email client like the iphone does...

If i place the Widet that covers up the whole screen called Stocks by Yahoo. Then click it to open it I can add a stock or index. However, right under that text it says *This service may result in additional charges from your wireless provider. It's Yahoo Finance Stocks which comes with the phone. Anyone know if it cost extra money to use? Also if I go into settings/wireless controls/mobile network settings/ data roaming (connect to data services when roaming) and check that does it cost extra money to use 3G when the phone is roaming? Do you guys have "enable always-on mobile" (uses more power on some mobile networks) checked?

I don't want Meebo or eBuddy, just an official Messenger app. Is there one in development, is there some sort of rift between Yahoo & Android ? I noticed this same problem with my Palm Pixi too. View 15 Replies View RelatedI am not sure if there is a hidden setting somewhere that has been reset or this is a flaw with Evil Eris, but whenever it synches with Exchange 2003 it only downloads 100 emails and stops and says 100/179 and is not showing any emails from the past three days.
Also, a few days ago, it got a synch error and said it was out of disk space and I checked my SD card and saw it was very low so I deleted a bunch of MP3s and freed up 6.5 gigs of space but it still doesn't work.
Are the emails actually saved on the SD card or on the phone? When I have the USB plugged in can I browse to their location?
My send/receive setting are:
Mail size: Entire mail
Download frequency: Every 5 mins
Download past mail: 14 days
Include file attachment: Smaller than 2MB
Reply with original text: Checked
Always BCC me: Unchecked
This is my work email and it's critical that it operates properly when I am on call.
I have been using the Yahoo messenger app for the last week or so without problems, but today I have not been able to receive any messages. A phone call to a friend confirmed they were getting them from me, but I could not see anything back from them. One friend said she sent me over 50 messages throughout the day, to see if I would get one. I was signed in at the time, but never saw any of them. When I got home, I signed in on the computer and was hoping to see a flood of the messages, but nothing popped up. My guess is, the messages were getting sent and confirmed, since I was signed in through the phone, but the app was not displaying them.

View 8 Replies View RelatedAfter the OTA I have discovered (to my frustration) that the email I have been deleting from my Eris is being permanently deleted from my Yahoo Plus account. I have searched here and all over trying to see if there is new settings or what but can't find anything to include the "don't delete from server" setting for the account.
With my other yahoo accounts (free) I didn't have the option to keep them on the server and accepted that as it was a struggle to get the free accounts up early on.
Keep the emails I delete from my phone on the server?
What's up guys. I currently have an iPhone, but I am having to switch back over to the Verizon network due to various circumstances. Anyways, I am most likely going to get the Droid Eris...seems to be the best phone for me that Verizon has to offer. The Moto Droid is just ugly in my opinion, and I hate the keyboard it has.Back on topic, I have read that you cannot get Yahoo email on Droid phones. Is there any way that you can get around that system and get Yahoo email accounts synced to the phone without having to pay for Yahoo Plus? I attempted to search for the answer on here already, but I wasn't able to find one.

The store hooked up gmail, and I accidentally put my gmail info into the native mail program thinking it was gmail. Now I get two notifications, and have two programs checking mail. Can I just delete the native mail app, or will this cause problems? Any way to just turn it off/remove my gmail info from the application?
I just got my Captivate the other day and I was wondering if there are any good e-mail apps for gmail, yahoo mail, and hotmail? I've tried each and the stock but either it won't let me add multiple accounts or it doesn't receive the emails even though there are new ones in my inbox when I check it.
