View 1 RepliesI flash MIUI 3,9,13 Sept 14 my nexus but it doesn't boot waiting at MI logo.
I wiped dalvik. etc.
I want to find out how to see calling waiting notification when I call someone and they are on the mobile.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've had my Desire over a month now, we've had some teething problems but this is the most consistent one - there's no call waiting notification on my phone. I've missed about 3 calls and several texts while in another call, but my phone doesn't give me any indication that there is something else going on.
Some cursory googling found that other people have had their Desire make weird noises instead of a call waiting tone, but mine has nothing at all. Anyone have this happen to them or any ideas how to fix it? Although I'm fairly happy around technology I'm not too keen to root my phone, what with warranties and insurance and stuff.
Earlier I was using Nokia N82 phone (Symbian OS). I used to get a notification on my screen (CALL WAITING) shall the person I am calling is currently engage. However, after I switched to HTC Desire, this notification doesn't appear. Is there a special way to enable this? or are there any applications?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have had my Samsung Galaxy S for just over a week now and have almost got to grips with it!
One thing that is annoying me and that I can't seem to change is the call waiting option. I have set up my own call options and they work fine - what I am having problems with is when I call someone who is already on a call - my phone does not tell me that I am waiting. I have always had this with my other phones without having to set up or do anything - how do I manage this on teh Samsung Galaxy S? I am with Vodafine and have Android 2.2 Froyo.
Is there a way to know when you call someone that he's already have a call and you're on waiting cuz there is no notification in my X2.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi'm using a sony ericsson x8 phone and it was working on android 2.2 for past few months and i really wanted to try a new custom rom just to experience a bit of Gingerbread.after referring to many articles i managed to get my phone rooted and i downloaded Gingerxperiav10.i installed the custom rom using xrecovery mode and it was successful.after installing gingerxperiav10 (android 2.3.7) it seems everything's working pretty fine including wifi and all major stuff , BUT , except CALL WAITING ...
whenever i try to got to the menu in the following way ---- >>> settings>call settings>additional settings>call waiting ....... i see the the check box for 'call waiting' is not checked.so then when i try to check it in order to enable 'call waiting' function it ends up with giving this error message always ... "Call settings error : Network or Sim card error "
this is so annoying that i can't find out if my girlfriend is on a call .. i mean even if she's on a call , it won't display on my screen.but the horrible part is if i'm on a call i can still get others calls .. but i can't see other people are on calls.
I have the Galaxy S2 jelly bean version. My problem is that when I am on a call and I receive another call, I get the notification beeping sound, and the person I am talking to also hears the beep and becomes aware that someone is trying to call me! The person I'm talking to should not hear the beep or know that I'm being called by a third person!
how to prevent/turn off the beep to the person I am talking to without turning off call waiting ?
I want to flash a ROM for the first time but had a couple quick questions. After it is done will my contacts come back? What should I do before I flash a ROM? I already backed up my current rom (sense ui) with the ROM manager app. I have already backed up all my apps as well with titanium backup. I am good to go at this point? I want to try to MiUi rom that just came out.
View 8 Replies View RelatedOften during my calls I can hear a call waiting tone (double beep) but when I look at the screen there is no parallell call? Am I hearing the other persons call waiting or is it a glitch in my phone? I had this issue on every ROM, 2.1, 2.2 and live in Sweden (if it makes a difference)
View 3 Replies View RelatedDunno if this has been covered and maybe this is a stupid question. I have not had the phone long enough to have much call waiting experiences but the times I did, I noticed I had to press menu and then go thru a menu to "click over" to the other call. This is g=fine and dandy from the comfort of your couch but is not advisable if you are driving a car. Is there a one button shortcut to go to the other call without having to look at a menu?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe problem is, when im in a call and i receive a second call (call waiting), i switch over and back...but i have no way of ending either call individually...even if the second caller hangs up the phone. My phone will continue say that i have a call on hold...is this a known issue or is it just me?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm currently debating whether I should wait for my carrier (Telus) to provide the Froyo update OTA, or use a downloaded ROM. I'm more or less clear on the advantages/DISadvantages of using a downloaded RUU. I'm less clear on the advantages of waiting for Telus to offer it. I recently got the HTC Desire, and the Telus update could be as late as November. I would really like to install Froyo NOW, because once I start using the phone more and entering contacts and agendas and all of that, I don't want to have to redo all the work I did configuring the phone. Waiting for Telus OTA UPDATE:
* I get the update NOW, and I can get on with my life.
* No risk bricking the phone (biggest thing holding me back!)
* No need to waste an entire SD card, just to keep a backup of the Goldcard image in case of later updates
* I LOSE my 1-year warranty with Telus on the phone if its been hacked (UNLESS I can save version 2.1 and flash it back to that??)
I Am Trying To Port MIUI For My Device It stuck On MIUI Logo. I Want To Obtain Logcat To Know What The Problem Is But At Bootloader Adb Is not working and I Am Using TWRP Recovery.
View 4 Replies View RelatedFroyo 2.2 issue. When I am on a phone call and another call comes through, that person's Caller ID contact list name does not come up, just their phone number (even though they are in my contact list). This did not happen on 2.1...it always showed the contact name info. why or if there is a setting to change?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI get another call while I am on the phone. Go to answer the other call let them know I will call them back later...other caller hangs up and then the call just hangs there in dead air. So now both of my lines are occupied while I am only talking to 1 person.PLEASE let me know if there is a fix to this issue because it is a big deal for me. If there is no fix I might have to return the EVO for another phone honestly, its essential for my line of work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn Gmail I have my contacts sorted by groups, easy enough, on occasion I need to add a new group or move a contact from one group to another, which is easy enough using a pc and my Gmail account. However, I cannot seem to add new groups or edit existing groups on my Moment. I can see the groups, I can sort by groups, but I cannot find an option that will allow me to add or edit any groups. Does anyone know how this is done on the Moment? I suppose I could use the browser to log on to my Gmail account and change it from there but isnt that sort of redundant since I am on my Gmail account using the Moment? Also, maybe someone knows when Moment contacts sync with my Gmail why dont the contact photos sync? One more thing, anyone ever on a call and it goes dead and after a few seconds the phone rings with unknown in the caller ID. When answer it is some from my address book that should have appeared in my caller ID Anyway, now I have to quickly hang up on this person to call the person my phone hung up on to receive this call. Its like the call waiting gets disengaged and hangs up the present call to allow the new incoming. I also had this problem on a HTC Hero I had before I got the Moment also.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't appear to have call waiting in operation. But, more than that - I seem to have an issue where, if I'm doing something on the internet (e.g. checking email), the call doesn't come through. Take, for example, a mild incident today:
Meeting my beloved mother, for once in her life she's remembered not only to have her phone, but to have it on (will miracles never cease!). I call to find out where she is. She's 5 mins away.
So - while waiting for her, I go into my gmail to respond to a mail. Mother arrives - 'I tried calling to say go queue for a coffee, so we didn't have to wait, but it went straight to voicemail'. I hadn't moved, reception was still good.
Is anyone else having this issue? Ever since the OTA update yesterday, if I am on the phone and another call comes in, at that very moment, the current call I am on gets disconnected and I have to click either "answer" or "reject" button. Its like the WAITING part of call waiting doesn't work anymore. like the phone can only handle 1 call at a time. I've tried rebooting but dont know what else to try.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs the calling waiting problem for all Android phones? Or just some? It's like my phone doesn't really hang up on the person I was talking to even if I tell it to.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've noticed with my T-Mobile G2 that there is no call waiting alert with the default settings, so I'm never aware of someone trying to ring me from within another call - a function that's been standard on every other mobile I've used.
I'm sure it must be possible to set this up, but can't seem to find out how to do it. Very annoying, as I invariably get calls on top of one another and people are starting to tell me they're sick of being put through to my voicemail.
I have looked through all the settings that I could find and I have not been able to find the setting to disable call waiting. Does anyone know how to do that? Is it even possible? I personally prefer to have call waiting off. I do not want incoming calls bothering me if I'm already on the phone.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhy is it when you are talking to someone and you get a call waiting, the person you are initially talking to, also hears the call waiting alert as well. I don't think thats right.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I am in a phone call, sometimes my phone will beep as if I have a call waiting. But I don't. It beeps every 5s or so. The only fix is to restart my phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is a stupid question, but I never had it right on any phone. I can figure out complex things, but When I answer a call waiting, how do I switch back and forth between the original conversation? Do I press send? Is there any way to conference other than Google Voice?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis may have been said before about incoming messages or maybe calls, but I'm wondering how to turn off vibrate during call waiting. In other words, when I am on a call and someone else calls, the thing continues to vibrate. I would just like a beep or two.
View 3 Replies View RelatedLong time lurker. My question is how can I turn up my call waiting volume. Ive looked everywhere and I've tried everything. I don't hear any beeps at all.
