I am using Xposed Mods for some minor tweaking on my phone. Today I installed XposedDeliveryNotifyToast.apk from here to disable delivery notification sound and notification in the status bar. Instead you just get a toast notification. Like in the image attached. Now...see how the text in the toast notification is on the left...how can I make it so it's centralized?

If there was a way to display all text in a toast to be centered. For instance, I have a toast that has 2 lines of text in it. For purely aesthetic reasons, I would like the text to center-aligned instead of left-aligned. I've looked through the documentation and can't find anything about it. Is there a simple way to do this that I have missed?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI use AOKP build 25 on my SGS and it worked perfectly before three days ago a new entry in my notification bar showed up and I can't get rid of it (see attached screenshot).
It's German, so in the upper line it says something like "Delete", and below "Text selection". When I click it, the system's memory usage is being opened but it's not going away.
Yesterday I noticed, that my Gmail doesn't sync even all settings are correct and haven't changed ever.
I need pop-up notifications of missed voice calls and SMS text messages. The pop-up should remain on the screen until dismissed/acknowledged. If the screen times out, I would like the message to reappear after I log in to the phone. Generally I can't get my phone out quickly enough to see the original message. I can't tell whether I've missed a call or a text message, so I have to check both. I find the missed call format especially unfriendly. I'm using Calendar Event Reminder and loving it. It would be great to find soemthing that works similarly for calls and text messages.
I must have installed some app or selected some option. About 5 minutes after missing a text message the phone produces an very annoying sound. I hope that when I install a new notification app or setting that this annoyance will go away.
I have a Droid Razr. When I'm on the phone I have to just keep looking at my phone to see if I got a text. How can I change it so I can hear something to notify me?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've had my Samsung galaxy s4 for a while, and I've never had a problem. But now, if I get a new text message, it doesn't ring or put the envelope in my notification bar. The only way to know is to go into my messages and see the new messages. I've resetted my messaging settings, but it still doesn't tell me that I have a text message. Other apps like Snapchat and Facebook notifications work.

"Why would you do that", you may ask. Well, the thing is, I use the app "Best Wifi" to switch my wifi automatically at home since I'm using a repeater there. But as soon as I'm in an area without wifi connection, it tries to connect to a wifi and keeps on sending toast notifications with "no APN found blabla" every 15 seconds. Thats especially disturbing when I use my phone as a navigation device in the car. So, it would be great if I could block those toast notifications from popping up.
Currently, I'm using a rooted Nexus 5 with Beanstalk ROM on 4.4.2.
I am currently working on my first app which grabs a ZIP from the internet and the extracts it to a certain location. Everything works great but I can not figure out how to show a Toast message when the extraction operation is done.

As I said above, only issue is displaying a message that everything is done.
Sometimes when I receive messages it makes the notification sound and will show message in notification bar but the text of the message will not appear in the text thread. Used to happen every once in a while, now doing it multiple times a day. I use Handcent but I doubt that is the problem because the messages dont show up in the regular messaging either. Just want to see if i am alone with this problem.

When ever i am texting someone and i do not exit out of the conversation before they text me back the phone vibrates and wake the phone up and im in the conversation. I reply and the little envelope is still in the reminder bar. It wont go away unless i bring the reminder bar down and click clear.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I'm running fresh evo .5.3 (Or whatever that build was, old, I know), and near the middle of the day I realized my phone was playing my notification sound (and led would blink once) and then my phone would suddenly reboot. The only changes I had made were installing a couple random apps, which I've uninstalled since then. Also, installed handcent and I get the same result. Other notifications work fun, but any text ones freeze and instantly reboot my phone. I'll probably end up doing a full (everything I need is in the cloud, don't mind reinstalling apps) wipe and flash of fresh 3.2.

Is there a way to either:
a) set the native text appl so that there is no content preview in the notification bar, or
b) with Handcent still have the special puzzle piece show up on your lock screen when you have a new text message?
I really liked how that puzzle piece showed up but now it is gone and I suspect it is ever since I installed Handcent and I don't know how to get it back.
Follow up question -- if I go back to the native text app, is there a way to increase the font size of incoming and outgoing messages? I don't want to have to put my reading glasses on everytime I get a text.
I recently purchased an LG Eve running on 1.5 and have loved it so far. yesterday though, i received a text message just like any other time but when i tried to delete it, it would not remove the notification from the status bar. no matter what i do it is still there, even when i go to my messaging app and it says it is not there. it is really starting to bug me, since it is just always saying i have a new text message now. any ideas as to how i can get rid of it?
