I have just installed VanllaEclair 5.0 on my hero, and its great, the only thing that annoys me, is when i plug in or unplug my usb cable from my pc, it makes the notification noise, which gets annoying, i have unchecked SD card notifications, but it hasnt worked,

Buzz again and Droid! Again. So I think I got two texts when I have one. I don't have handecent or anything. Battery life has been just fine(And thats with the system at 100% lol), and the apps are amazing. But I have a question. I noticed there's two LED lights at the top of the phone. Yet I've only ever seen one light up! Is this how it is for everyone else? Only my left one lights up(green for texts, and amber for charging). And my friend's G1's Scroll Wheel also lights up, and was just wondering why ours doesn't.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that while charging my EVO using the stock wall charger and any micro usb cable that there is a loud whining noise. It is pretty loud and can even hear it while watching TV. I have read that the Droid Incredible charger has the same issue as well and have tried to switch the prong orientatoin and still no luck. I have used my other HTC charger that I have from my old Touch Diamond and don't hear any type of noise. I have read that it is the capacitors in the charger making the noise. I have tested and the charger still makes the noise after the green LED light has come on.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm pretty sure my Hero used to give me a beep when I got a new SMS, but it stopped at some point (a couple of weeks ago) and I haven't heard one since. I've tried re-setting the notification sound but it doesn't help.I'm getting other alerts (new mail, etc.) it's just SMS that doesn't play a sound. I've checked the volume level and it's set to the same as the phone ring level, which is fine. I'm wondering if I installed an app that killed it.

Had to disable the one notification supported by Handcent and now is only the default one on which when I click- the Handcent client appears. Once I quit from Handcent, the icon is still on status bar, altough I've read the sms and have to close it via "close notifications" button. How to get rid the default sms notification?

I sold my Nokia E71 and bought a Malaysian Hero (they're not available in NZ) and flashed a rooted generic firmware onto it. Very happy with the phone overall.I have a question though, I'm getting a sim card notification on the top bar thing and a blank notification entry in the pull down list. Clicking it doesn't do anything. The manual doesn't say what this means and I've found another person on XDA-Developers with the same thing. They are with the same carrier as me, Vodafone NZ.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that during playback of video I take with my Motorola droid, I hear a sort of a pop every now and then. The first time I heard it, I thought it was something going on around me when taking the video, but it's not, it appears that the sound is coming from the droid, though I do not hear the pop when recording. There is no rhyme or reason to it. Sometimes you don't hear it at all, sometimes it's every 30 seconds, and a lot of times, I hear the pop right at the end of the video, but sometimes it happens right in the middle.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWas reading a review at AnandTech and it says: On the left are the volume rocker button and a port for the secondary microphone for noise cancellation. You can follow that port inside to a small chamber where the microphone is. There aren't any markers on the volume rocker - then again up and down are pretty obvious. The volume rocker is also a multipurpose zoom control in the browser and camera application, which is probably part of why it's left unmarked. Here is the link if you wanna check it out. However, what I haven't seen addressed is whether than noise cancellation is bypassed when using a bluetooth headset? View 6 Replies View RelatedDuring playback of music, video if I turn the volume right down there is a clicking noise. Tried different tracks and a couple of different players. It can also be heard between tracks. is this normal? You can't hear it when u turn the volume up though.

One thing the Incredible doesn't have that the Nexus One does is the fancy noise cancellation technology. I'm a little surprised at how little this is being mentioned and I'm also puzzled at why this feature was dropped since on paper it sounds like such a good thing. Does anyone have experience with how well it worked? Did it not work out as well as planned, was it a cost saving measure to drop it, or does nobody actually talk directly into their phone anymore?
