Is there an application that will force your incoming calls to only show in the status bar instead of interrupting your current session? I have seen a video showing what I'm looking for but it was an iPhone app for unlocked devices.

I've got a PhoneStateListener to see call state changes, when a call is incoming I make my app show a toast notification to display caller data which I retrieve from a search service. Due to toasts limitation, i would like to show a dialog instead which allows me to show the notification longer and customize it with imageviews etc...
The problem is that when I implement the dialog and execute the show method in the state listener class, my application crashes.
Does anyone know how to implement this and have an example? It seems like WhitePages have solved this with their Caller ID app.

And when i close the phone, like lock it .. the Led keeps blinking green ? It stayed like this for almost two days .. and then just then I signed up for this forum it sent me and email to my phone .. surprisingly .. my Led blinks , the phone vibrates and GMAIL shows on the status bar ..What can I do to prevent the GMAIL &continuously Led blinking .. to happen again ? There was a setting on the Blackberry while sleeping, the phone would be the only thing to ring or make nose. Email notifications, etc., would be silent. My requirement is to block only "Incoming" calls from a list of pre-selected numbers but I would like to allow everything other then incoming calls.
I am using my phone's default way to reject all calls, but any time someone calls they hear a small ring and then operator message saying
"The Number You Have Called Is Busy...", So the caller understands that I am rejecting the call and expects a call back.
If the message after rejecting a call is like "Switch Off" or something else I am fine.
Required "Incoming Call Barring" , because I spoke with my operator regarding incoming calls barring password but I was told that it is phone feature so I needed to contact handset manufacturer for this and I got the same answer from HTC that it is a network feature so I need to contact service provider.

I have built and compiled an .apk file witch force closes for no apparent reason on launch. When compiled it compiles without any errors.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm running 4.4.2 on nexus 5. All I'm trying to do is put a custom carrier logo image in the top left of my status bar. I used the method in this thread- [URL] to do it. Although this is for ICS roms specifically, I compared both status_bar.xml's from KK and ICS and they are VERY simlar. So I figured this would work. I like to do most of my themeing with the use of zip themer so I built a custom image (yes, its the correct size) called "carrier_logo.png" and stuck it my drawable-xxhdpi folder and added that line of code to my status_bar.xml and flashed the update.zip. When I reboot, the phone is in chaos and I get a repeated message over and over that systemUI has stopped, plus my status bar is completely gone lol. I'm assuming that line of code is just not compatible with KK systemui. So...how do I go about calling an image from my drawable-xxhdpi folder into the status bar's top left corner from my status_bar.xml?

I'm always getting short texts from people instead of one long one. So my phone dings/vibrates for each one. I want to know about the first one, but not every one after that, at least until I put my phone down again.

Commands are about to boost up the reading speed of SDcard, type like

Actually I modified these files with RecoveryFileManager at first but I found that was failed after I reboot the device, so I just type these commands into the init.d, but after that, I just find my status bar and notification bar was lost and disappeared, not only home screen but also all around the surface in the system.
