General :: UFO And Delete Text Selection Notification?

I use AOKP build 25 on my SGS and it worked perfectly before three days ago a new entry in my notification bar showed up and I can't get rid of it (see attached screenshot).
It's German, so in the upper line it says something like "Delete", and below "Text selection". When I click it, the system's memory usage is being opened but it's not going away.
Yesterday I noticed, that my Gmail doesn't sync even all settings are correct and haven't changed ever.

I'm trying to use Spinner as a button with selection pop-up. Basically I want an icon and when user clicks it - the popup list is displayed and user can make a selection. The Spinner happily accepts icon image as drawable background. Unfortunately when I select a value the text overlays the background. Is it possible to set selection text color as a transparent? Or maybe there's a better way?

I recently purchased an LG Eve running on 1.5 and have loved it so far. yesterday though, i received a text message just like any other time but when i tried to delete it, it would not remove the notification from the status bar. no matter what i do it is still there, even when i go to my messaging app and it says it is not there. it is really starting to bug me, since it is just always saying i have a new text message now. any ideas as to how i can get rid of it?

Anything good out there exist? I looked through the droid market and found a couple but they all seemed to be themed as car alarms and stuff like that. I'm looking for a decent sized selection of basic noises, notifications, sounds, whatever you want to call them.

I somehow managed to delete one of the stock notification sounds (galaxy s3 - stock unrooted) i know if you restart the phone it brings it back but I've restarted it 3 times.

I want to find a way to delete an email immediately when I see it come in - right from the notification drawer pull-down. Same thing for SMS / text messages. Often, if it is a spam email or a Google Voice reminder for a meeting, I want to just delete it, but instead I have to launch the respective program and delete it from there.
I'm running LiquidSmooth right now, but I'm not aware that any ROM has this functionality.

Any app to single delete notifications from the drop down menu. I'm running Verizon HTC incredible, cyanogenmod 7.2 RC1. Since cyanogenmod 7.1, we have been able to swipe notifications left and right to delete them, but it doesnt really work very well.
I then went to a friends house who had an at @ t Motorola Atrix, with I think droid 2.3.4 on it. My friends drop down menu had a minus button on the right of the notification to delete it. That is exactly what I'm looking for. Any app or some way to set this in my (Rooted) phone?

I was sending a text and input the wrong phone number (a 2 at the end instead of a 3) and now every time I starting inputting that phone number to send a text both numbers come up. I can't find any way to delete the one that is incorrect or any way to delete both or to delete all of the numbers that show up that way. Is there a text cache that can be deleted? I used app cache cleaner, but that didn't work.

How can I delete these and only these files using an rm command in a terminal?
How can I convert this to Linux format?
I want list a folder's contents, then go into android and remove those files. For example. I want to get this list:

convert it to...

Just switched from the iPhone 4S to the Galaxy S3. I wanted to transfer my small handful of text messages from the iPhone to the S3. I found an app called iSMS Grab, and was able to accomplish this pretty easily. However, now the stock messaging app seems sluggish and, when I try to delete older threads, they just won't delete. I've tried doing so with a long press and thru the Menu button. I then uninstalled the iSMS Grab app, cleared data thru Settings > Apps > Messaging > Clear Data, formatted the microSD card, and even removed the SD card - and they still won't delete!
I know the ultimate fix is a factory reset, but I have over 1100 contacts that I've spent a full day configuring ringtones and Caller ID photos. I'll reset if I must, but hopefully I can get some feedback from experienced users here. This is my first day with an Android phone.

I am using Xposed Mods for some minor tweaking on my phone. Today I installed XposedDeliveryNotifyToast.apk from here to disable delivery notification sound and notification in the status bar. Instead you just get a toast notification. Like in the image attached. Now...see how the text in the toast notification is on the left...how can I make it so it's centralized?

I need pop-up notifications of missed voice calls and SMS text messages. The pop-up should remain on the screen until dismissed/acknowledged. If the screen times out, I would like the message to reappear after I log in to the phone. Generally I can't get my phone out quickly enough to see the original message. I can't tell whether I've missed a call or a text message, so I have to check both. I find the missed call format especially unfriendly. I'm using Calendar Event Reminder and loving it. It would be great to find soemthing that works similarly for calls and text messages.
I must have installed some app or selected some option. About 5 minutes after missing a text message the phone produces an very annoying sound. I hope that when I install a new notification app or setting that this annoyance will go away.

I've had my Samsung galaxy s4 for a while, and I've never had a problem. But now, if I get a new text message, it doesn't ring or put the envelope in my notification bar. The only way to know is to go into my messages and see the new messages. I've resetted my messaging settings, but it still doesn't tell me that I have a text message. Other apps like Snapchat and Facebook notifications work.

I managed to get my own custom notification tune, but before the tune is played, there will be a short notification "beep" tone played first followed by my custom message tone, sometimes it comes after my custom message tune and it cuts away my custom tune to a halt. I can't seem to find that particular standard notification "beep" to delete away from being played whenever i get a message.

I can open gmail and then it goes back to the home screen, when I delete an app I suddenly get a notification that an app has an update (EVERY TIME I delete an app). My weather widget was reading 32 degrees all day yesterday and I noticed that the settings were changed to celcius. What really sucks is I am in the middle of buying a house and I email back and forth with the lender on my phone. Oh and the battery never got any better I can barely get 4hrs out of it. I really like the phone and I hate to return the darn thing.

When I want to select a android-system ringtone, I get the following.
I got 2 times: Classic Ringtone_13 , the first one I selected, didn't work ( played the default ring tone ) but created a new not working Classic Ringtone_13. If I select the last one It works ( plays ringtone13 ).
Now my question how to clean up this list, because Now already got a lot of not working ringtones in my list ( see screenshot ).

I dont want to scroll down and sellect sim (i am making about 300 calls per day and I have nervous while sellecting it. does anyone else have this issue where the deleted emails do get deleted but I get a notification within a minute that says 'new emails' and it will tell me that I have x new emails (x=number of emails I just deleted)but those emails are not actually there, just the notification comes up.I just clear it and all is good but i'm curious if anyone else has this issue.

I recently bought a galaxy s4 , but the play store is so boring wth all the weird apps judging that my location is in the middle east. i experienced the same problem when i bought the lumia 920 and the solution was simply changing my location to the US to get access to all the goodies in the play store is there a way of changing my location on the galaxy s4 so that i can enjoy my play store?

I got the hero today and so far im stoked, the only question i have is i have a notification that wont go away, it says "SYNC - too many contacts deletes. then when u click on it it says "there are 255 deleted items for contacts account ******@gmail.com. What would you like to do? and it gives me 3 options, delete the items, undo the deletes, do nothing for now. ive tried all three options and the notification just comes right back.
